Survivor's Post-Merge Paranoia Has Everyone On Edge

The dynamics around camp change drastically when the remaining castaways merge into one tribe.

On the latest Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers episode, host Jeff Probst had a huge announcement for the castaways: They'd finally made it to the merge that would bring them together as one tribe.

After hearing the jaw-dropping news and enjoying a large feast together, the tribe made their way back to camp to get their heads back in the game.

With alliances colliding, the vibe at camp took a sharp turn as castaways mingled on the beach to try and figure out the direction of the upcoming Tribal Council vote.

Two castaways who had a lot to think about were Ben and Mike, who chatted together to figure out how to vote so that they wouldn’t destroy the trust of their alliance.

"The Yawa Tribe went in saying we were five strong," said Mike. "The problem is, Ben now is wavering."

He went on to say, "The post-merge dynamics are nothing like I thought they’d be."

What Mike began realizing was that he wasn’t the only one playing this game hard— everyone was.

And he added that the new dynamics made "life that much more difficult."

Next, Mike ran off to tell Cole that he was likely one of this week’s targets, to which the 24-year-old frantically asked, "You’re still with me, right?"

Away from the other castaways, Cole explained he was starting to "experience that Survivor paranoia…"
