The Big Bang Theory fans well know that Sheldon Cooper has a colorful past when it comes to acquiring radioactive substances.

In the second episode of Young Sheldon, "Rockets, Communists, and the Dewey Decimal System," Sheldon ( Iain Armitage) made a new, likeminded friend in Tam (Ryan Phuong). The only problem is, their friendship yielded, er... explosive results.

As it turned out, Sheldon had called up a mining operation in Canada trying to buy uranium, and the FBI took notice.

"He's just a little itty-bitty thing," Mary Cooper ( Zoe Perry) assured the two agents who showed up at her front doorstep toward the end of the episode.

"He's harmless," George Sr. ( Lance Barber) added.

Well... mostly harmless, anyway. Certainly, the model NASA rocket blasting through the house didn't help matters.

Unfortunately for Sheldon's mom and dad, that won't be the last of their son's questionable scientific endeavors.
