Changing The World In 10 Seconds
For the first time, CBS Cares invited viewers to write their own public service announcements and enter a contest in which the winner will appear on network television.
The subject for this contest was "The Importance of Diversity." What is diversity? Why does it matter? What does it mean to you? It is a topic that truly lends itself to the voices of viewers in every community.
Contestants submitted entries through their local CBS affiliate through Jan. 31, 2007. Affiliates then selected candidates from their market as finalists.
A panel of experts will determine a national winner, who will be invited to the studio of their CBS affiliate to record their CBS Cares PSA.
The national winner will be determined by March 15.
