like you who let Eric Braden DISS the show as you call it in the press and has been doing it for years and you praise him for it. Peter Bergman says something you also praise him for it

If you are going to accuse me of this, you better get your **** in gear, find a post of mine where I praised Braden or Bergman. You'll be looking a long time because I HAVE NEVER PRAISED EITHER ONE OF THEM. Actually, I was hoping "Victor" would be GONE! Wouldn't break my heart if Jack flew the coop either. So, once again, you put your foot in it.

Every black actress and actor who has been on soaps since the 80's and 90's have spoken out

I believe I said it is good that they speak out, but you are so busy being so righteously indignant, you probably missed that.

BET as you mention and you've never watched

And, once again, you are telling me what I do or don't do. Interesting, I didn't know you lived with me and kept track of my viewing habits. Oh, please tell me, Oh wise One, how do you know I have never watched BET? Oh, that's right, you don't. You just ASSUME I don't. Well, you know what they say about making assumptions. Actually, I have watched BET in the past, but don't have it now because I have downgraded my Dish TV programming.

who dismantled every positive black program the network had in exchange fo trash TV

Just as every other TV station has done to most all the decent programming. These days if the shows aren't about screwing around, gays, violence, soft porn, etc. filled with cursing, they aren't gonna last long no matter who stars in them.

This year alone there have not even been ten films made starring an all black cast or a black lead. So I don't what you are counting. And every year since 2000 black films + black actors as the stars has not exceeded the 10 mark.

As I said, I don't go to the movies or watch TV that much, so I haven't a clue who stars in what movie whether they be black or white. My life does not revolve around TV and movies. I would much rather spend my time researching and learning about those things that are IMPORTANT! Sorry to burst your bubble, but entertainment is NOT that important. In fact, it has been very instrumental in the brainwashing and dumbing down of our entire society. People would rather watch TV than do a little research and learn how this country got into the mess it is in and what can be done about it.

Because a mind is a terrible thing to waste . Again checked for your ignornace.

Yes, and it is a shame yours is going to waste and you are showing your ignorance by making assumptions about me when you don't have a clue.

You sure ain't said nothing against them and you weren't until I brought them up. Checked again!

I'm schooling you on what you obviously don't know. Checked again!

Actually, I have watched BET in the past, but don't have it now because I have downgraded my Dish TV programming.

Now that's a lie because BET comes with even the cheapest of cable packages. You don't have to pay anything extra for it. Checked again!

Just as every other TV station has done to most all the decent programming. These days if the shows aren't about screwing around, gays, violence, soft porn, etc. filled with cursing, they aren't gonna last long no matter who stars in them.

There are hundreds of programming featuring all white cast. So the two don't compare. African Americans have zilch. Nada. So again this issue I am talking about is specific to African Americans and has to do with the history of race and oppression in America that makes this issue so prevalent. Checked again!

As I said, I don't go to the movies or watch TV that much, so I haven't a clue who stars in what movie whether they be black or white. My life does not revolve around TV and movies. If you don't go and don't know then trying to speak on the issue is useless. Because you have no insight and no education on the issues at hand. So before you speak on any issues pretaining to race and racism make sure you do the research especially when it comes to the entertainment business. And do you say entertainment is not important. Yet you just had to speak on an issue you know nothing about. Fancy that! Checked Again!

Yes, and it is a shame yours is going to waste and you are showing your ignorance by making assumptions about me when you don't have a clue.

I'm just calling it as I see it. And your words prove to me ignorant and lack any education that it would take to enter into this discussion. So you remember this. Before you enter into a dicussioon like this make sure you have your facts straight and you have the knowledge about what you talking about or else you make yourself look ignornat. Checked again!

It's one thing to bad-mouth your employers and co-workerswithin a group of friends or family, it's another to continually go out and publicly do so as VR has done. She spent a lot of airtime bashing both the show, the people who work on it, the writers, nearly everyone BUT Bill Bell, Sr., whom she did state she had respect for, for several years. It was reported by numerous publications that she had done this, and yet her co-workers and former employers didn't say a word. I've always heard that the bigger person doesn't say anything, because it doesn't behoove you to get into a pizzing match with someone like that.

Then she turned around and decided, since the show has been run by Maria Arena Bell, that Bell is her best friend, and that she loves the show, wants to return, begs her fans to write in and email and twitter so that she can be reinstated, comes to the Emmys to "show support" for her former co-workers (wearing the weirdest Obama dress that looked more like a tablecloth), then when she wasn't accepted with warmth and open arms by her former co-workers and employers that she had been bad-mouthing for the past three years, she does ANOTHER 180 and tells everyone that there are three actors who are keeping her off the show, that "Lily doesn't want her mama back,"that she (again) hates the whole thing and she's never going back there.

WTF is she doing?? Blowing hot and cold isn't going to win you friends...it's going to make you enemies, and it's not going to get anyone back on the show.

Someone asked if VR were white and had done this, would there be such a bother about it. In my opinion, yes. Because it's not the color of the person that I'm looking at, it's the personality and the attitude. I never saw "color" when I looked at Drucilla. I saw a beautiful, young woman who was in love with a handsome young man, they married, they went through hard and good times, they had a child, they broke up, they remarried and they were so great together. I loved them. Still do. I was so upset when Dru was killed off.I kept hoping they'd find her, or she'd come back, even if she'd had plastic surgery, just as long as we got that sassy, spunky, amazing woman again.

But the woman I have seen over the past three years is ugly, mean, spiteful, hateful and downright nasty. That's not the image I've always had of her. Yes, she is beautiful to look at, but as my mother always said, beauty is skin deep...ugly goes down forever. She's made some very ugly remarks about the show, her co-workers and her former employers, and once hard words are said, they cannot be taken back, no matter how much one apologizes for them. They rankle and they scar, and they will always be there, floating around to hurt someone and be repeated as having been said.

No matter what color the actor, black, white, brown, yellow, the act of what was done is all the same, and the attitude would still make it so that yes, I, for one, would be extremely upset and not want this person back on the show. Man or woman, whatever race, if they put down the show, the workers, the writers and go public, numerous times, bad-mouthing it and saying they never want to return, then I don't want them to return either. VR did this to herself. She has no one to blame but herself, and until she realizes that and makes amends, which may or may not ever be accepted by those she hurt, she will never be back on the show. It would be the same for any actor who did this, no matter who they were...

Like I'm really afraid to be checked out by you, Mr Know it all. I certainly did not intend to "tell a lie" about VR being fired from Crosby's show. That is what I read and heard. If it is not correct, then my apologies, but you can just check yourself when it comes to accusing me of being a liar. I said what I had read and heard - so you go "check" those that printed the lie in the first place rather than come at me.

I am well aware that there are many black actors speaking out about discrimination they experience and good for them. They should speak out, but speaking out and dissing the show and other actors that work on the show one is hired for are two entirely different things. I have never read or heard of Denzel, Hallie, Shemar, Oprah or any of the black actors I am familar with EVER diss the shows and/or the people they have worked with.

There are no African American themed programs on any network television channel and 2 shows on cable out 500 + channels.

Oh reallly ? Hm, guess all those shows on CB where almost of entire cast is black aren't black themed programs? Could have fooled me. What about the new show Sheri starting the gal that is in The View. And how about BET TV - BLACK Entertainment Television - is that not an entire cable channel for blacks. And what about Oprah announcing she is retiring from her show and starting a black cable channel? Now whose lying?

If you count the number of films featuring black leads male and female out of over 150+ movies a year you come up with between 5-7.

I could count more if I gave a damn but I don't. Not because they are black, but because I don't go to movies and really don't watch TV that much. So, I tend to only remember the name of the actors I really like. That goes for the white actors too. I think most of them are dimwits who **** and moan about the paparazzi and how they can't get the money they think they should get for some movie or such. Most of them went through thier "trying to get famous" stage begging for the paparazzi to pay attention to them and now they want to be left alone. There are some that are a class act and handle that with class and grace, but the majority are a bunch of ungrateful creeps. Then they **** about the money they make! Well, maybe they would like to be like the majority of people in the country struggling to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, get a decent education, pay the bills. Sorry, I don't feel sorry for Jack Nicholson or Denzel if they have to take only a milliion for a role when they think they should make $20 mil. (I'm just using those names as an example!) and quite frankly I think the people that pay those kinds of salaries are nuts! Just like the sports teams that play those outrageous salaries. It's disgusting when there are people of all races and colors who don't have decent housing, food on the table or a decent education.

Whose job is it to groom young black actors coming up in Hollywood? That would be the BLACK actors, wouldn't it? I'm pretty sure it would be difficult for white actors to do to the satisfaction of people like you. When the black people that have risen above starting taking care of their own instead of thinking it is someone's else's responsibility, things will probably change. But as long as so many blacks hate whites and blame us for all their problems, yet expect us to take care of THEIR responsibilites, I expect we will continue to see a huge racial divide.

As far as the number of black actors working - well, there's actor's of all races and colors that don't get work too. For somebody that works in the media, you should have figured out by now that the industry is a very elite industry and there are really only a few really elite actors - both black and white. For every big, well known black or white actor, there are many others that don't get big roles. For every "STAR" there are hundreds that aren't and may never be stars of that caliber.

As I said, I am sure black actors are discriminated against - but so are older actors, not so pretty/handsome actors, fat actors, etc. People of every race are discriminated against in many ways every day - I have been, as have almost every woman I know. But most of us don't go around bad mouthing about it - we work our butts off to prove our worth - just as the black actors I mentioned above have done. How about the discrimination dark skinned blacks suffer from lighter skinned blacks? And don't even tell me that doesn't happen because I have had dark skinned blacks that I saw TREATEDlike crap by a lighter skinned blacks.

I live in a very small, rural Texas town - lots of rednecks. My computer guy is black. He's a great guy - good with computers, smart as a whip, very good converstionalist, very attractive. He has been discriminated against many times, but he has never gone around bad mouthing those that have discriminated against him. In the 5 or so years I have known him, he has built a very strong computer business, has more people wanting him to work on their computers than he can handle. He also has just gotten his own jazz radio show. Took him three years to get that show and yes, he was discriminated against. But, he "cowboyed up" (as we say here in Texas), kept working hard, got his show and he's very successful.. He wouldn't have either one if he went around bad mouthing all the time or with the attitude that he was entitiled to a successful computer business or radio show. He wasn't entitiled, any more than I am entitled to what Ihave. He worked hard, did a good job and EARNED the respect of the community and those that hired him for his show.

Just as the black actors I mentioned have done. They were discriminated against, they "cowboyed up", worked hard, did a good job and EARNED the respect and admiration of those powers that be in the industry and therefore, they get some the big roles and a big salary. VR has done nothing to earn the respect of those in the industry. All she has done is shoot herself in the foot and it's a sad thing, because she is a very good actress.

BTW, I refuse to refer to blacks as African Americans. They are AMERICANS - period. As far as I'm concerned, if one was born in America, they are AMERICAN and I don't give a hoot what color their skin is. Not all black people are descended from Africa, so not all blacks are African American, but if they were born in America - they ARE Americans. If they came from Africa and became naturalized citizens, then they are AMERICANS.

According to National Geographic geneticist, Spencer Wells, black genes are the original genes, so I guess I could call myself an African American too because if he is correct, EVERYBODY descended from Africans, even if they have white skin.

I am sick to death of this racial divide. We are AMERICANS - I don't care what color skin is on the outside! I have friends of all different colors. I like them and I respect them - behavior has a whole lot to do with that. If someone doesn't earn my respect, then I probably won't like them, don't give a hoot about their skin color! The black actors I have mentioned have earned my respect because they are a class act. VR has not earned my respect because she has no class and behaves as if everybody owes her something because she is black. I do respect her acting ability, but that's about it.

LOL..the CW not CB got rid of the black comedy programs it use to have in favor of drama's that feature white cast with a token black her and there. It is a known fact that networks use black television programming to get their ratings up and then abandon that audience once the desired goal is achieved. CW is no different. The struggle for roles for African Americans is an enormous issue even today. Try watching a film called THE HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE. Gives greate detail and insight into the AA struggle in the flim and television world.

As for VR she didn't diss the show and you won't find a media outlet that covers daytime that would do nothing more than agree with what she is talking about. From Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly, Soaps In-depths, Tvguide (CA and USA), DC ect. Everyone knows what she was talking about and everyone supports her. So she'll get some bad feedback from a few fans like you who let Eric Braden DISS the show as you call it in the press and has been doing it for years and you praise him for it. Peter Bergman says something you also praise him for it. But a sista speaks out and now you she's everything but a child of GOD! Come on now come on. And she owed something. She owed the equal opportunity that is afforded the white cast mates and from Black actors in the indusrty she is not the only one who spoke out. Every black actress and actor who has been on soaps since the 80's and 90's have spoken out. I guess we're all in the same boat with you. And since BLACK WOMEN are the majority audience for soaps THEY DESERVE TO SEE THEMSELVES reflected on screen and not as a token as Cady McClain said in her interview. And in large numbers. If IT WERENT FOR BLACK WOMEN Y&R would not be #1 today and that's a check you can take to the bank and cash.

Now as for your American talk. It would be nice if we all got treated as if we were Americans but just about every indusrty contiues with its old pratices from the past. And that's the world we live in.

And another thing or two.

#1 to try and compare racial discrimiation to age or looks is nuts etc... You need to check yourself. Racial discrimiation is a specific issues that has no bearings on the other. White actors in to their 70's get work and people who don't look like "the idea" look still get work and when they don't it's becaause they believe your RACE is inferior or won't sell because of your skin color which retains a history of discrimiation in the country based on race. So race has no comparison to anything else but race. So get that correct.

#2 BET as you mention and you've never watched...is say one out of 500 cable channels and it owned by Viacom (white exectuvies) who dismantled every positive black program the network had in exchange fo trash TV. So there is your next issue to work out. Learn before you speak. Because a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

#3 This year alone there have not even been ten films made starring an all black cast or a black lead. So I don't what you are counting. And every year since 2000 black films + black actors as the stars has not exceeded the 10 mark.

Again checked for your ignornace.

MAB just doesn't know what she's doing at all. She went and got "Eddie Winslow" to play dead beat Malcolm. And I'm so sick of CK with her no acting self it's not even funny.

When Daniel first came back to GC to live with Phyllis, I was interested in him being a bad boy with Kevin, but they put him with whiny, no acting CK and the writers have had a hard time with his character ever since. Look at Cane is a grown man who should have been in scene with people like Victoria and Nick and the rest of the adults his age. ;">But no, they put his with that simple twit Lily, and they have made a spineless man out of him. He doesn't even have the bones to tell whiny Lily no or else she'll have a temper tantrum.

Hey guys this is child-like Lily. Watching Lily, Cane, and Mac is like this little short story below. Check it out

Lily - "Hey Cane you know although my parents are rich and have sent me to the best private schools and given me all the resources that I need to be successful in life, you know that I don't have any goals in life to be anything other than a whiny housewife, right?" Since the age of 17, I've been majoring in Housewife 101, and now you and I have been playing house for 5 months now, but to really play house the right way we need a baby?"

Cane - "OK, but you know I'm not good at playing house"

Lily -"That's Ok, you know I've been at it for several years now. Me and Daniel played house for a while?"

Cane - "Okay, since you know how to play house, now who's gonna be the baby?"

Lily - "Well let's get a surrogate to give us a baby"

Cane - "Who will we get?"

In comes Mac - "I wanna play house too. I heard you Lily talking about how she has majored in playing house and I want my life to be meaningful and contribute to society, so I'll have the baby".

Lily - "Are you sure you want play house with me and Cane and have the baby?"

Mac - "Yeah, I don't have any goals in life or any aspirations of becoming anything, so why not, I'll make my life meaningful by giving you and Cane a baby so you won't fail at playing house this time. This is the least that I can do for you since you and Colleen use to kick me in the bu-tt every time you got."

Cane - "You would do this for Lily and Me?"

Mac - "Sure, just let me know when you are ready". "I waspreg-nant myself and wanted to play house with JT, but I lost the baby and now that he's married with a family, and Billy seems like he hasn't totally gotten over Chloe, I can life out my dreams of being a mother by giving you and Lily a baby so she can pass the first course in her "Housewife series program, andlive for that day when she will finally get her degree in the Housewife 101 and become a full fledge housewife and accomplish her dreams". Just think about it Cane,it all works out well you will be the last liar that Lily will have to choose to play house with."

Lily - "wow Mac, I don't know how I can repay you for all that you are giving up for me to be able to play house like I've always wanted to do". Boy I tell ya Mac, you are the best. Daniel started off playing house but then he got bored with me because I whine, cry, and pout constantly when I want to do something and people don't agree with me. But Daniel claimed he got bored, so he started looking at Amber's ti-t's and watching po-rn. But I tried to make it work because playing house means so much too me. The only thing that is missing is a baby, but once you give me a baby, there will be another little whiner and crier in the house besides me."

Cane - "Wow Mac, I don't know how I'll ever repay you. You know that I'm a fraud and I conned all of GC, and Lily will forget all about that just as long as I'll stay here with her and be her husband and you give her a baby so she can fulfill her lifelong dream of play house." PS, don't tell anybody but MAB is a horrible writer and although I'm a liar and a con, she'll fix it where I will come out smelling like a rose. But remember you can't tell anybody."

Mac - "I really want to do this. I know you are a liar and a con, but I understand you. As You know, I've helped take care of dying poor people in Darfur, but giving Lily a baby so she can fulfill her dream of playing house is the best thing that I could have ever done, and although I've helped dying people in Darfur, that is less meaningful than Lily being able to live out her dream of playing house".

Cane - "Oh Mac, I have a present for you. Here's a Kangaroo neckalace because you will be carrying my baby in your pouch".

Mac - "Wow that's the best gift anybody has ever given me". I'm speechless.

Lily - "Oh Cane, I'm so happy. I know you are a liar and you conned all of GC, and you have a hit out on your life, but I can live with a no-good liar and con like you, just as long as you let me have what I want, whenever I want. And you not using your brain and going along with me about having a baby is all that I've ever wanted in life".

Cane - "You know I'll do anything to make you happy Lily".

The End.

Too funny, Smart and dead on. And Yes I agree with you David, Davetta Sherwood was way beeter as Lily

Davetta Sherwood was to ghetto to play a girl from an upper class family. But the main reason to get rid of DS was Cane. Once the writers decided on as a couple, DS was out. Icannot see DS and Cane. lol!!

Davetta was not ghetto. Ghetto is when you are loud and wear crazy hair do's and speak ignorant. Davetta was a sister with a Flavor to her. She was Urban. But far from ghetto.

The End.

Well, she can't get a job in the industry now, can she? So, would she have been any worse off if she had filed a discrimination suit? No, she would be in the same position - no work in the industry. So, if she thought she had a valid complaint, she should have filed suit. If there is such discrimination in the industry - and i'm pretty sure there is - why is it that so many other black actors ARE working? I am sure they faced the discrimination too, yet they are working. I'm quite sure Denzel Washington, Shemar Moore, Hallie Berry, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones all felt the sting of discrimination, but they are all working. And let's not forget, one of the most famous and weathiest black woman of all - Oprah. They are still working because they were WISER in the way they handled the discrimination they face. They didn't go around shooting off their mouths, dissing the folks they worked with.

I think VR's problems did not stem as much from discrimination, but from her attitude and inability to address the discrimination problem in a smarter method. From what I understand, she has had this Diva attitude almost ever since she got her first job. IF that is correct, then I am more inclined to believe her problems are a result of that attitude rather than her race. She was fired by Bill Cosby because of her attitude, NOT her race.

There are just too many black actors - some very good, some not so good - working today for VR's problems to all be race based. Did she face racial discrimination? I am sure she did, just as I am sure all the actors I have mentioned did - but they are working and she is not. WHY? Could it be her behavior and attitude and not her race at all. I am inclined to think so.

First off get your facts straight. VR was never fired by Bill Cosby! That was your first lie. She had a recurring role on the Cosby Show that ended. And Bill has had nothing but nice things to say about the actress at the time and to this day. I work in the media so when you lie I can call it out! No body knows African Americans in the media more than I do. Next, There are not a lot black actors working today. Are you nuts? In fact Black actors have been speaking out about the lack of roles out there especially for black women. Halle is the only one who gets any roles in Hollywood and primetime ain't no better. There are no African American themed programs on any network television channel and 2 shows on cable out 500 + channels. 1 Program on CBS features an African American male lead. If you count the number of films featuring black leads male and female out of over 150+ movies a year you come up with between 5-7. That's not a good number. So your idea that Denezel and others are getting a lot of work is not even close to the truth. Denzel speaks out today about Hollywood not grooming the next generation of black actors. He also speaks out about having to fight to get the same access to roles that his white counterparts are afforded. Same with other black actors. Spike Lee is an outspoken director. Angela Bassett is an out spoken under used actress.

So before you trying to speak on how black actors and actress deal with discrimiation in the indusrty then educate yourself or you end up being CHECKED by me!

Your name says it all!

You had me as a fan. I loved you as dru and thought your job as dru was awesome and yes lml should of nominated you but, your behavior was unwarranted. You treating ms and pb and anyone else who did not kiss your **** was wrong. I do not feel you deserve to be allowed back. You have caused too much drama. You refuse to own up to what your part was in all of this. the non stop bashing of the show that made you an star, the former people you worked with and then twittering lies.... sorry but you lost me as afan for good. if they let you back on as drucilla, I will hit mute when your on and unmute for the other people. I will fast forward every scene your in and I will watch you. I think they should recast dru. I hope if they do they get the actress who subbed for you when on maternity leave.

I do not think you fully get this. That you and you alone brought on this. You could of easily gotten your job back had you stayed on good terms, not blamed everyone for your own mistakes and waited for lml to **** up.yes she did alot fo damage, they know this. But they had to wait for some loop hole to come their way and that was the wonderful blessed writer's strike. when she screwed up she was terminated along with her hatchet group of writers. You chose to blame everyone and everything for you leaving instead of you. a true performer takes responsibility for their own actions. Instea dof begging for your job which I hate to tell you your not going to be rehired, riling up the fans to have them beg for your job back you should be owning up to your fans who deserve this. I am fed up with the race card being used an as a way out. If you had truly been treated this way then you would of filed a suit and all know this. why didnt the n.a.a.c.p do anything about this? why do they keep giving this show you claim is racist awards? I think you are full of it and I think you need to act like an adult and say hey I screwed up and move on. You are not getting your job back... your sorta blew that one out of the water with the book you wrote, the non stop bashing for three years and twittering lies. Like I said you had me as a fan for many years and then you blew it!

Lisa

She never had you as a fan. You can't even get your lies straight. You need jesus! Your postings have been nothing but one lie after the next. And your biggest lie to date was the I CONTACTED THE NAACP. Now that was a classic lie. So we know you what your deal is. We know what you are all about. And you haven't a leg to stand on. And so may God or a therapist help you.
