A flashback is often used on both Miami and NY to give a visual explanation of what the detective or ME is explaining. Sheldon wouldexplain his theory of how a person died, and then we'd see a visual demonstration of that explanation. Horatio would explain how a murder might have happened, and then we'd see the visual demonstration of that.

Yep. And I think that's exactly what they're going to do to show what really happened between Flack and the perp that shot Angell.

I'm kind of curious about Angell & Flack's family trees. Maybe some of you can fill in some info for me....

First, what is Angell's dad's name?..... For some reason I thought it was Douglas, not even sure why.

Also, what about Angell's mother? ..... remember in either episode 2 or 3, when Mr. Angell came in to the precinct and asked Don to come to Sunday dinner for what would have been Jessica's birthday? When Don agreed to come, Mr. Angell said something like "I'll tell_____." Was it Sherry? For some reason I always thought Jess' father was a widower, but that could be just because she never made reference to a mother.

I know Flack is a junior, but beyond that he (that I remember) has only made reference to his mother. Is his father dead? Anyone remember Flack's middle name? One more thing, he has a brother.... younger or older?

Well, technically, her answer was "Anythig you want me to be." But it came with 4 options, which is what I'm after.

That is exactly what I was getting at, Gidzmo. Producers are going to bring this back up later in the season and need something to work with. They showed a limited shot on purpose. I spent 10 years in tv production and am convinced that we will see more flashbacks of that scene.

I'm hoping that Flack didn't do what the camera angle makes it look like he did. Flack is too good of a cop for them to ruin his reputation like that. Yes, it does look like he murdered the guy that shot Angell, but I'm hoping that in some relevant future episode that they'll re-show that scene from a wider angle and hopfully the guy will be going for his gun or something to rationalize what happened. 'Cause we all wanna feel sorry for Flack, but none of us wanna think of him as a bad cop, either.
