Exactly! Everyone on this show has been redeemed. For heaven's sake, Kevin burned down Gina's and tried to murder Colleen in the process; while locking her inside the freezer. Then Victor, in my opinion, is responsible for Colleen's death as sure as he had drowned her himself. And his granddaughter's brain damage. Yet Victor is still a fav of most posters. I say they can redeem Adam if they write it correctly. Until that happens, I'm just going to enjoy MM's talent. And I'm really going to enjoy his chemistry with Sharon. Can't wait.
You're wishing a "character" dead??? Zowie! You really get into your soap. LOL Yes, he's done horrible things. But a monster? I don't think so. Not unless you're willing to call Victor, Jack, Phyllis, Kevin and so many others on there monsters. Adam is no worse than any of them, in my opinion. He's not nearly as bad as Victor, however, he's much more interesting and fun to watch. 
I totally agree about giving Sharon her baby back, but leave Nick out of it. He's only a father by genetics. He's a lousy husband and not much better of a father. Sharon and Faith are better off without Nick.

I don't see Adam any more evil than Phyllis, Victor, Kevin, and on and on and on.
But, now that EB took the cut he said he wouldn't take and is now staying on as Victor, we can all sit back and watch the same old boring Victor and Nikki....or boring Nick and Phyllis.....or boring JT and Victoria. Zzzzzzzzz
Personally, I like a little excitement in my soap operas. Give me evil if that what it takes but just entertain me. And Adam is definitely entertaining and Michael Muhney is phenomenal!

Let's see, we have Victor and Nikki back together; living happily ever after. Let's put Nick and Sharon back together, too. Then the viewers can all sit and watch the same ol' same ol' we've been watching ffor 30 years. Zzzzzzzz
Adam is new. Adam is different. Adam is exciting. That's why I watch this soap. Not to be bored with the same old married couples all the time. I have that in the real world. Give me evil and excitement in my make-believe world.
I guess I just don't see him as evil. I think he was a good country boy raised by a wonderful mother who put himself through Harvard. He didn't start doing evil things until he met up with the Newmans. None of them welcomed him nor gave him a chance to prove himself. Then, unfortunately, he got involved with Jack and that started the Diary fiasco (which he paid for and Jack never did). After that, everything he did he considered payback and it just snowballed and blew up in his face; the domino effect, leading him to do something else.Yes, he's done some really awful things; I'm not making excuses for him. I just don't think he is evil. Not one person on that show has clean hands and they've all been redeemed. I hope Adam will be, as well.

In other words.....TGAN! Can't wait. Why Adam? Because Nicholas is brain dead and Victoria (as much as she's like her daddy), could not pull it off, either. There has to be someone left to spar with Jack. That would be Adam. 
I didn't realize it was a new format so that makes it easy for me. I don't have to retrain myself. LOL
”I used to be a devout Shick fan but not any longer. I wouldn't wish Nick on my worst enemy; much less Sharon, whom I adore. Nick is a jerk. He doesn't know from one day to the next he who loves or wants to be with. He is the one responsible (well, he and Phyllis) for pushing Sharon over the edge. Nick is a spoiled Newman brat who has never grown up. I'd rather see sharon with Adam than with Nick. However, my preference would be for Sharon to stay on her own for awhile and get stronger and stronger. She doesn't need Nick OR Phyllis in her life. Or Jack, for that matter.
