Okay I have read some of the comments and I am just going to offer my opinion on some of them. There was a lot since my last post. gibbsgirl 8 I am not sure if I agree with you on Blowback because those guys were harassing her and she did try to just walk away, if I am correct I believe one even grabbed her by the arm, which I wouldn’t even stand for. However, I agree with tejasjulia in regards to Recoil, it didn’t fit with the character of Ziva, I never really understood why she was so effected…so I can really see that there are some inconsistencies with her character. Also if you were never really a fan of Ziva I can see how these things can really put you off from her for good. I really like Ziva so it doesn’t bother me as much but I can see where everyone is coming from. Also as524 mentioned her being shoved down everyone's throats in the last part of season 6 and the beginning of season 7 and with this I can also understand your frustration especially if you never really took to the character in the first place. I kinda felt that way with Tony for a while during his undercover operation which made no sense to me because really did he ever get information or become any closer to the "Frog" because of his interactions with his daughter, yes in the end but that was just by luck, from what I remember she surprised him with a meeting with her father, I never really heard Tony inquire much and never really understood what they thought he would gain by becoming close to his daughter who is a doctor and not involved in the business of selling weapons. JMO. By the way I like how even though there are different opinions on this board right now everyone is being respectful and that it very nice to see. I tried at the beginning to like her, kept telling myself that I didn't like her because I found Jenny's entrance (complete with Paris flashbacks galore) so distasteful. But for me it came down to not having the whys & hows of her presence on the team & in the agency fully vetted. (guess I know too much about Gov't). So every other issue with Ziva just compounded. & I can understand your frustration with Tony & the undercover arc. To me, SB & DPB wanted to test the waters with a major romance on screen & that was his way of doing it. Plus I was able to put it up to Jenny. As far as the respectfulness on the thread, you're right, it is nice to see. & I think it counts as a measure to those who are discussing it with each other as well as not responding to those who wade in only to cause trouble with their tone/word choice...
It's interesting that only in retrospect do we realize that Tony's undercover romp (pun intended) with Jeanne never really amounted to much except an on-screen romance for Tony. Nothing substantial, that I recall, resulted from that op, except that for us Trent Kort fans, we were introduced to the mysterious Mr. Kort; and Ducky got to do some field work in the bargain. That altogether was a strange story arc, I'm sure everyone would agree.
Just my .02 cents worth--I thought I might be watching an epi from Season 2 or 3. Really liked it and looking forward to more of the same. The old-style humor was much in evidence. Semper Fi!
It was right in there in the mid-range for an early season episode. Given that most of last season and just about all of this season has been crap, that's saying something.
Maybe I'm easy to please, but not all of S6 was all that bad, certainly not quite the same as the early seasons, but still mostly ok. I tend to overlook/ignore a lot of the Ziva "face-palm" stuff and still enjoy the episode.

”Thanks for the recommendation, stewho. I can check as well. I just asked in case you knew. But thank you
You're welcome. The links are having trouble for me here at work. But I'll check at home this afternoon. I think there's another site that carries the series on line as well, but I forget the url.
You might give Burn Notice a couple of tries in January when it resumes its winter schedule. I'm sure USA will show a series of reruns for the benefit of those who didn't catch the 7 summer episodes.
Do they show those episodes online? I don't have cable
I watched the NCIS shows on USA at my friend's house.
I'll check............
Sure! Go here for all of them:

”I'm looking forward to Burn Notice in January. Matt Nix seems to have a firm grip on the direction of the series, and he and his writers & directors know how to deliver. His interviews (on line) are quite interesting and enlightening in that regard.
”Exactly my impressions, too, julia. Keeping the alien arc on the periphery would have allowed the "Monster/weirdo of the week" story to keep the viewers interested, but never knowing when the next alien encounter was going to take place. Finally, we all, including Mulder, got sucked in too deep into the conspiracy angle and lo and behold!, after the bad guys all died, there wasn't any reason to keep watching. So they shipped Mulder and Scully and that was the end of that! I think Carter and crew just tired of the whole ordeal, frankly, and allowed the series to die a peaceful death. There were some excellent stories there, even in the latter years when the mythology arc was starting to ramp up. I still have my favorites on VHS.
I'll be surprised if it makes 9 seasons at this rate.
Iused to groan when there was a conspiracy episode coming up. They were as tedious as the Mossad episodes. Istuck around, hoping against hope, that they'd get back to the good stuff, but they really never did. I was so disgusted by the time I bailed, Inever even bought the series on VHS, much less DVD (I guess it's out on DVD - I haven't checked). .
...He would have been far better served never going there at all and sticking with the Monster of the Week format. He *could* have kept Mulder at the edges of the alien arc, but once Carter let him, and us, in too deep, we learned he had nothing to show us and the whole thing cratered as the internal logic fell apart (pretty much like what's happening with NCISnow).
Yea, they're out on DVD...all seasons. The VHS tapes had only selected epis and at that, only up until S4, I think. After that, I don't know what happened. As I recall no more VHS came out because they started issuing DVDs from S1 onwards. I didn't have a DVD player at the time, so I didn't bother. But I taped S5, 6, and 7, I think, and I still have them. As I said, there are some very good stories even in the latter seasons. And speaking of the mythology arc, I never felt Carter was very sure where he was going with that, did you? Much the same way I'm not sure SB knows where he's going with NCIS.
Exactly. That's why both are so muddy and uninspiring. There's no sense of forward momentum. The only show I can think of, off hand, where a big, on-going arc worked, was Babylon 5 and even that had its hiccups. The difference is that it recovered from its hiccups. Idon't think NCIS will. It won't see 10 seasons unless they either ditch Shane Brennen or he gets a talent transplant.
My prediction? No more than 8--next season will be the last.

Intriguing that there might be a recurring role for Mr. Wagner, Dinozzo, Sr.
