KIM ZIMMER: I'm doing excellent today, thank you!

CBS.com: Congratulations.
KIM ZIMMER: Thank you so much, its always a nice day. And here i am sitting in Los Angeles in 75 degree weather, sunny, looking at the Palms Trees.

CBS.com: How does it feel to be nominated again?
KIM ZIMMER: It always feels great. I'm sure there are people who get tired of it, I don't know if Susan Lucci ever got tired of it. This is my 11th nommination and it feels just as good as the first time.

CBS.com: What scenes did you submit?
KIM ZIMMER: I submitted an episode all the cancer treatments have failed and she's having to resort to bone marrow transplant and it's being donated by Jonathan, her son, much against her wishes. She didn't want it to come down to this, but he insists. The transplant is a success. And when i come out of recovery there are some really really nice mother - son scenes and i also have flashback of a young Jonathan in San Cristobal where I tell him the story of The Ugly Duckling. They were really nice scenes. They weren't your chest beating, screaming, yelling, and crying that I've had before. So i was really nervous about submitting them because it was very different from what I've submitted before. I'm happy that i was able to win over the hearts of the voters with my submission.

CBS.com: How did you hear about your nominations?
KIM ZIMMER: Well since i was in Los Angeles, it was 5:30 a.m. when the announcement was being made, and i heard my phone on my nightstand make a sound like I had a text message. I thought what's wrong, because I totally forgot that the nominations were coming out today. My website president was calling to say, Congratulations. I had to read it like three times to figure out what she meant, And about 3 seconds later, my husband called me and told me.

CBS.com: Are you looking forward to coming back to LA in June?
KIM ZIMMER: Los Angeles has been very good to me. I had a long dry spell back in New York, so maybe Los Angeles is my lucky charm.
