My favorite character without a doubt is and always will be the indisputable "goddess" herself Olivia Spencer as portrayed by Crystal Chappell. Crystal breathed life into the character of Olivia and made what was to be a villainess of daytime into one of the most interesting and likeable characters on all of daytime. I will miss tuning in to see Olivia wreak havoc on the lives of the Lewis and Spaulding clans (among others) and I will especially miss tuning in and seeing the wonderful storyline between Olivia and the true love she'd be seeking all these years and finally found in Natalia... what a wonderful storyline (even with all of its ups and downs). Olivia Spencer epitomizes daytime drama at its best and she and her portrayer Crystal Chappell will be thorougly missed when "Guiding Light" comes to a close this September!

Cliched, perhaps, but my favorite Guiding Light ANDdaytime character will forever be Reva Shayne. Reva embodies the human spirit - the frailities of our lives, our vulnerabilities, our passions. Reva wears her heart on her sleeve and never settles for anything less than what she wants. Reva says what she thinks and feels, almost to a fault. In many senses, I think she is the person many of us wish we could be but don't have the guts to act on it. What I love about her is her imperfection.Reva has never laid claim to being the most centered woman in the world, she admits her faults and insecurities. She knows when to say "enough", or when to say "i need more". She's been married 9 times, to a father and both his sons. She has been a princess. She was cloned and traveled through time. She drove off a bridge but survived. But she also had scares of a heart condition, miscarriage, and breast cancer. Reva has been through it all, but never lost the person she always was. She never had to lose her real identity in anything she went through. She was always Reva. Through everything,Reva never lost the essence of what made her a powerful woman.Sexy, sultry, motherly and humane. Reva has it all and will forever be one of daytime's greatest characters.

I've always been partial to India Van Helkein. At least as she was in the '80s.My favorite moment was when Lujack needed to get to NYC to see Beth and didn't know how he could afford it."But I don't have any money," he said."You have credit cards, don't you?" she asked."Well, yeah. But I can't pay them!""You're not SUPPOSED to pay them, silly," she chirped. "You use the until they TAKE THEM AWAY!"

My favorite all time GL Character is Roger Thrope. He was the villian you couldn't help but love. Even though the things he did were sometimes pretty rotten, he always seemed to bounce back and make you like him. Michael Zazlow could never be replaced in that role.I so miss the days of Roger, Holly, Ed, Blake (little Crissy).

Reva is my favorite character. She ishigh strung, free-spirited and is as gutsy as they come. I love her footloose and fancy free-take no prisoner attitude. I love the way she loves and I love the way she fights! Ijust love Reva! I'm going to really miss her!

My favorite character of all time is also Roger Thorpe. Thorpe was played by Michael Zaslow. He was the character that you loved to hate. Roger was a complicated, multi dimensional character with many sides to him. Whether it was his complicated relationship with Holly, or tangling in the board room with the Spauldings or interacting with the Bauers, Lewises and his daughter Blake, Roger was always an interesting character.

I love Edmund! He is so evil but so likeable. His schemes are so intricate and off the wall. Yet, the good girls fall for him. It must be his good looks! No matter what emotion is driving his plan, he is in it for the long haul. He is not wishy washy, flitting from one lover and back to the last. Sexy!

Phillip Spaulding. Hands down, no question. I grew up with him. I started watching back in high school. My friends and I would sneak in to the library during study hall and watch. Remember the four musketeers? Phillip, Rick, Mindy & Beth were fun! Their lives got so much more complicated as the years went by. I really feel for Phillip... Between his many marriages, his relationship with his dad, and the never ending drama with Beth... Please!

Buzz Cooper. It surprises even me that I say this, but in spite of all his flaws, Buzz remains at the center stable, loving and hysterically funny. He always gets to the right place even if his path wanders a bit. Justin Deas deserves the utmost credit for bringing to life a Buzz that hasmade me a fan for at least all the years he's been withGL.

I have watched GL since I was little with my Mom and my fav is Phillip Spaulding. I loved the storyline in high school with Phillip, Beth, Mindy & Rick. My favorite part of the story back then was when Phillip and Beth went to New York and met Nick (Santa Claus).

My favorite character of all time is none other than Crystal Chappell, AKA Olivia Spencer..I have watched Oliva Spencer wreak havoc on the wonderful people of Springfield since day one..Over the years she has blossomed into one of the most memorable soap characters in the history of Guilding Light. She has grown to be an amazingly loving person who has gone through so many obstacles in her life. She is a strong-willed person who goes after what she wants no matter what gets in her way. I'm so happy that after all Olivia has gone through, she has finally found true love in Natalia Riveria. I'm so sad that after September 21,2009 there will be no more Olivia Spencer and no more Guilding Light. I will still always KEEP THE LIGHT SHINING!

How appropriate that the first "Prize" isRiva's broach. My grandmother gave me the gift of the love of Reva Shane. She is without a doubt my favorite character. Grandmom would say I was a lot like her becasue in my youth I was fearless. Reva maintained that on the outside, even during her deepest fears. She's wild (Haven't we all dreamed of dancing on the table?), hard-headed, tender, loving, I guess she's a little of all of us rolled into one. When I feel weak, her strength reminds me of stronger times, when I'm strong she reminds me to appreciate it. My grandmother has since passed away, but each day as I watch I feel close to her. When I visit the grave I tell her what's going on. I swear I heard her roll over in her grave when I told her it was all ending. For those of us who have embrassed Reva as a part of who we became as adults, Guiding Light will forever be alive. Thank you for the gift of Reva Shane!

My favorite character (besides Reva) is Jonathan. He is definately Reva's offspring. Everytime he is on, it's electric. The actor who portrays him can convey so much just with his eyes. The pain he felt after the loss of his beloved Tammy just broke my heart. And thelove he has for his daughter, Sarah. Just wonderful. I am so happy he is back.....even though it is the end of the road.
