Personally, I think someone not pushy and agressive like Holly Mann or Hart. Someone that is just satisfied being Mrs. Leroy Jethro Gibbs. What are you're thoughts?

Patient, not high maitanence, comfortable with silence, more stuborn than he is, has her own life so she doesn't need him to entertain her, but is willing to accept the NCIS family, Military background or other preperation for the dangers involved, likes woodwork, low tech or closet high techie, can listen and recognise body language, willing to put the work in to understand what her man is going through, and, most important, is willing to dye her hair red if it isn't.

The woman best suited for Gibbs would be someone who inspires in him those feelings of love and affection he felt - and still feels, I guess -for Shannon and Kelly. She would be his friend first and foremost, a woman with whom they could have sex, then cuddle to sleep, then make breakfast and tell jokes the morning after. I other words, a woman he could see himself sharing a life with. . I don´t know if it´s necessary that the woman likes what Gibbs likes, but it´s necessary that she understands his hobbies, even if she doesn´t share them. Somebody he would feel comfortable with in intimate situations of many kinds. Someone who can be in a relationship with him in which they both get to keep their gonads. Also, a woman who´s affectionate to him, because he has affectionate needs as well, and because of his nature it-s harder for him to aknowledge and try to fulfill them.

Sorry, but in a word, Ziva fits. She is like a female Gibbs and they look great together.

Totally agree with this. They say opposites attract & this fits perfectly. Someone who is confident enough to want to be a wife &maybe even a mother& understands the military way of life.

I too, agree. Apparently, Gibbs and Shannon knew each other for quite a while before they were married (met in 1976, married in 1982) so they must have been first and foremost good friends. Even if they didn't spend a lot of time together, or reconnected after a lengthy separation due to Gibbs being in the military, they would have had a lot of time to think about things; they obviously didn't just jump into marriage. They apparently got a lot of enjoyment just from spending time with each other and their daughter as evidenced by Gibbs' flashbacks of camping/fishing/horseback riding. A down-to-earth military widow stay-at-home mom with a 6-8 year old daughter would be perfect for Gibbs. He needs a surrogate family for the loss of Shannon and Kelly, but a widow would understand his need to reserve a place in his heart for Shannon and Kelly. (Unlike Col. Mann - who apparently couldn't deal that issue). It would do Gibbs a lot of good to have a child in his life; many men his age have grandchildren, but that isn't going to happen and he needs a chance to be a Daddy again. Can't you see him teaching a little girl to hit a softball or reading a bed-time story with his reading glasses perched on the end of his nose?

IMHO, a relationship is made of two people. Everybody talks about who would be the perfect woman for Gibbs, and they all basically describe somebody with a personality specially designed to put up with everything about Gibbs, so he doesn't have to change at all. Why not a woman who inspires a change in him? Yeah, I don't mean changing his personality completely, but opening up, being more tender in his own way, etc...

I think Gibbs could get along with almost any type of woman who understands the impact of his job on their relationship: he won't always be able to be there, he would likesignificant solitude and time for his hobbies, and he may occasionally be down because of some horrible case. Plus, he's not a party animal so she should have her own circle of friends to go out with if she's an extravert. I would say if she has a background/appreciation for law enforcement it would be helpful, but we have no indication that any of his wives did. The most significant thing to me would be raising children together:from a joke he once made to Abby about birth control, it seemshe and his latter 3 wives did not want children. One can understand why Gibbs might not either from grief or from fear about the child's safety. But one of the strengths Gibbs could bring to a marriage is his rapport with children. Ziva was actually a good guess someone made, but I think not because they have more of a student/mentor relationship. But someone like her, a dedicated agent, would be good. If only Tony or Tim were women! Ann

I really thought he could have had something with Sheriff Charlene "Charlie" Dupray, from "The Good Samaritan". She was self-confident and intelligent, and she had a small-town down to earth quality about her. She was actually quite attractive when she wasn't in uniform. If there has ever been a guest character to whom Gibbs "caved in", it was her. He looked pretty happy when he came back late from "dinner".

Totally agree with the "Marine wife" part. It has to be someone who can accept that in loving Gibbs he is a patriot, a marine who comes with a team of surrogate kids and an immense amount of baggage as well as crazy hours and obsessive hobbying. I'd love it if they introduced a woman for Gibbs who the team loved. A maternal influence so many of them seem to need. Jenny couldn't really pull it off all the time as their boss but I do miss the softer moments which she did supply with Abby and Tony. Mann I never really liked once they made her needy and demanding. The ultimate writing challenge - a realistic female character! The closest we have is Mrs Vance, she needs way more screen time IMO.
