And I wouldn’t even say her relatives — I’d say more of her personal life. The audience loves Abby and I think there’s a lot of rich detail to be explored with that character, so, yes, it will happen.”

Question: You recently fielded NCIS questions regarding potential romances for Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, Abby and McGee, but what about Ducky? What does the future hold for everyone’s favorite chatty British medical examiner? —SR

Ausiello: “Ducky is hiding a secret that the rest of the team is determined to find out,” teases Shane Brennan. “And it’s not what they think it is.”

Question: Are we ever going to find out what it is that Vance shredded on NCIS? —Troy

Ausiello: “The fans just won’t let that one go, will they?” laughs Shane Brennan. “We actually addressed part of that — almost all of it, in fact — in ‘Knockout.’ We’ve put a lot of that to rest, but there is still one more question that will be posed and then answered about our hard-nosed director. It won’t be this season, though.”

Why does SB have to be such a tease? My dislike for him is growing constantly.

Thanks for those! Abbys personal life may be a little intriguing! Cant wait for that one!! Ducky's hiding a possible girlfriend, she has to be an old lady of course! Vance I think will have a major arc in the next season, his character needs it. We havent had a director storyline for ages, excluding Endgame.

I assume that the Ducky secret is that his mother died? I don't know why he wouldn't tell the others though. I don't know what else it could be. Maybe he has a son/daughter or got married to Jordan?I'm excited about more Abby though!

Ducky is old school and would not want to burden any one .He may reach out to them when they are down but he hides his own issues.

SB usually likes to give teases in many episodes & the only thing he's been "teasing" about with Ducky is about his mother. Unless someone has seen something else in previous episodes???

I agree with the whole more questions than answers were raised with Vance in "Knockout", but maybe I missed the answers? Would anybody be able to shed some light on this? Because i'm totally clueless, and I have watched the episode a few times.

Actually, considering how TPTB have successfully shown how much everything is weighing on Ducky, I'm beginning to wonder...

I think (just my opinion, based on the eps seen this season) that his big secret is that he's already put in his retirement papers and he's only waiting for Jimmy to graduate, so he can hand over the reigns of autopsy to the young man. The actor's doing a brilliant job of showing the stress of taking care of his mother, and taking on everything handed to him at NCIS. But since the start of the season, I've wondered...

But like I said, that's just what I'm thinking.

It´d be sad if Ducky left ...

In 'Knockout' didn't the Sec Nav say something about it being unimportant or nothing? I can't remember. .I hope that Ducky doesn't leave but it would be nice for him to hand over the reigns to the autopsy gremlin if he did ever leave.

While I hope that DM doesn't leave I realize that he isn't young and might want to retire. I'll sure miss him if that happens. Not anytime soon DM, we will miss you alot.
