The NCIS actors MH, PP, MW, have been desensitized to the point of shear boredom. Its like they go thru the motions but are not really there. Im new here and to posting but have read many of ur comments . I agree with alot of u. Its like the writers dont care and most certainly dont care how the fans feel. I just dont understand, and dont understand why they are push the Ziva charator on us. I cant stand it. They should have just kept her as a reacurring role in small doses and kept the team and there dynamics the way it was. Im not understanding the coldness between Gibbs and Abby its so painful. Why dont the actors and writers and staff ever read the forums. NCIS is getting sad, so sad.

I would say that means they need new material. These actors may know their characters, but they can't do anything without a script. MWmakes this very point in the Bounce commentary. You should watch it if you haven't already--eye-opening & great fun.

Iwant to see it so badly but I don't have the DVDs. Is there any way to watch it online?

I would have to disagree. I love season seven- every episode makes me laugh and sit on the edge of my seat and want more! I always can't wait until next week. I think that if you are unhappy with how the show is going, don't attack the actors. They put their heart into every episode. They are family on that set. Why does the so called fans attack that family so harshly on these boards? It dosn't make sense to me. If you want to blame somebody blame the writers or the directors. Leave our family alone please.

I agree totally. If you read many of the posts few ever blame the actors. Shame on the few that do - the actors deserve a standing ovation for having to play such conflicted, complicated, and confused roles. I do blame the writers and the executive producer Shane Brennan for turning NCIS (from mid-season 6 to most of season 7) into a multiple ring circus of twisted emotions, a public portrayal of past pain and tragedies. Incomplete story arcs and plot holes galour are what many are complaining about. More time spent on supposed character development which has turned into character assination is a reoccuring theme among many fans who have the courage to speak out. And what has become of NCIS as a Navy/Marine Crime investigation "Team" of 7 incredible actors ?

Why did Shane Brennan choose to do this and to what end ? That's what a lot of long term, NCIS, Team Gibbs, fans are asking.

As to the definition of "entertainment" then I say it is indeed a personal choice. So long as the happy majority continue to show up among the 19+ totally satisfied fans then SB and his selected writing crew will stay his course. The master puppeteer will pull the strings and our Team Gibbs will do his bidding. It remains a universal truth that you cannot please everyone. If you are happy with all of it - great - okay with a few episodes - equally okay. And not so with anything in season 7 then maybe you should just channel elsewhere. The remaining universal truth to TV is that until such time as the numbers fall and the ratings go down with them we will have to enjoy or endure as the case may be the path that NCIS, Team Gibbs, has been set upon for the remainder of season 7. The cast is NOT at fault and cannot be held accountable. They are paid to do the master's bidding until contracts expire and new opportunities for them are presented. For what they have done and maybe have had to put up with I salute them.

Not that I know of, no. Now that's a commentary worth the rental price.

*Most of the other ones are fun, too, IMO, & are so informative. The best pairings for commentaries are DM/BD & MW with just about anybody.

As I have said before, the only actor I would put some blame on is M/H (not all). He is also a producer which should have some pull. I have always blamed the writers and s/b. I feel s/b has his heart and soul in LA and could care less about the mothership. After all, he inherited NCIS. I know they all say they love the show and where it's going, but lets face it no actor would put down it's bread and butter (only because I can't believe they'd still be happy this is show now). I'd love to hear what the actors have to say after it's cancelled.

They don't have rentals at blockbuster or the university or public library. It's driving me crazy. I have every season except 6 and 1. I plan on getting 1 soon but 6 is still very expensive.

I'm with you abs. I do put some of the blame on MH as he is one of the producers. I'm not sure how might weight that is since there are many. But if the Ausiello's Blind Item is about NCIS then it appears that MH is having a problem with the way the show is heading & is butting heads with SB - we can only hope so.

it appears that many of the stars of CBS' hit shows became producers over the last couple of years possibly in exchange for foregoing raises since the network is fairly fiscally challenged. How involved each star gets witth the show is probably more specific to the show, star & showrunner. For instance, we know that Gary Sinise was instrumental in putting Danny & Lindsay together and marrying them off once the actress's pregnancy was written into the script. I believe that Mark Harmon is as involved as he possibly can be with the show and has been since its inception. Like any job though he is probably required to pick his battles when it comes to the plans that Shane Brennan has for the show. I also believe (as is well known) that the blind item from Ausiello is about NCIS so hopefully if it does come to a showdown, Mark Harmon will be as successful as he was with DPB.
