Just think of how hard it must be for him to try and fit in with the young BB group. He is fromthe old time so some of his views are odd, but he loves his country and is a devoted husband. Do I wish he will win? No though I am proud of the 75 yr old man who has held his own. I feel bad for him when they exclude him or walk out a room when he enters. They all need to remember that one day they might reach that age. I hope when I'm 75 i will have his spunk or drive. He is a good guy and it must be hard. ps. What if they had a BB with only senior citizens?

I totally agree with you! I mean, imagine how he must feel all the time. He has not one person he can talk to in the house, on a regular basis, not one! People totally avoid and completely ignore him. He must feel so isolated and alone, and on top of it all he's cut off from the outside world? Cut off from the people who actually like/love him!? My heart just breaks every time I see him alone, or crying. I am so glad he won the phone call, I think he really needed it to remind him that there are people who love him out there, and they can't wait to see him!P.S. I think senior BB would be awesome, but probably not very popular.

I believe he has a good family to take care of his wife. If he won he could afford to keep her home with him forever.

Some of Jerry's circumstances are self-inflicted. He is a belligerent bully at times and has many times become verbally abusive, especially to the women in the house. I don't care how old you are, watch your words. He holds Dan up to a standard that cannot be upheld in the game yet he doesn't seem to understand that some of his behavior is unchivalrous, rude or even downright threatening. I'm sure Jerry is a nice guy outside the house - if you overlook his obvious flaws - but he is NOT a nice guy in the BB house.

i agree with you completely!! I think the game overcomes him! I do think that he will apologize for what he said at the end of the game (i hope) but while he has been in the house he has made himself look like an ass. His opinion of dan may be that of a followers and he might have said all that stuff just to agree with april and michelle but he needs to watch who he agrees with in the house!!

I do agree with most of what you all have stated. He also probably needed a break from his sick wife and if he could return with $500,000 would help the cause with nursing 24/7. What I dont like about Jerry is his abrupt manner. I didnt like when he would tell the girls to "Shut up" while he was trying to speak, was rude and obnoxious. He forgets when girls get together, you have to jump in and get your words in. He is unable to communicate with a group of women and he gets frustrated. Red flags went flying for me...I wonder how he speaks to his wife or children! When Jerry gets any power, he becomes a general! When he is on the block, he becomes a lamb and you kind of feel sorry for him. But when you give him any small portion of authority, we see the real Jerry, which is unlikable.

I agree with you completely.I was taught to respect your elders, and I will give him the respect he deserves. However, I cannot understand why he thinks it's acceptable to act the way he has been acting. Keesha is the only one who has tried to treat him well, but when Ollie tells him to make up stuff in order to get Dan to doubt him, what does the fool do. Runs right up there and commences to throw the one person in the house, BESIDES DAN, who has treated him respectfully.Give me a break.

Look at what Jerry is up against. He is just trying to fit in. Him being there as long as he has only inflates his ego more and gives the message he is okay in what he is doing. I say shame on Renny for not actually sitting down with the man, talk like adults and let him know how is being perceived. What he does with it would be his decision and the consequences that may come along with it. It is too late now; that should have been done long ago. I say Renny because of her age and the maturity that comes with it. Enough said. Jerry is no threat to anyone in that house. Neither is Ollie and neither is Michelle. The alliance of 4 is with each other. I do admire though if it turns out as planned that at least 2 strong players would be at the end making it competitive and well earned. Nothing is just handed to you. You have to work for it.

I think he's a sad individual that has basically sold his soul to try to fit in. He keeps talking about honor and not lying. But the biggest person that he's lying to and dishonoring is himself. He should stop to represent the Marines. He's pretty much an embarrassment to what they stand for.
