Gibbs, Abbs, & a Golden Retriever puppy > I must see this episode later. If I had a TV, I would do a running commentary.

www.fancast.com/blogs/2010/tv- news/the-big-tease-scoop-on-n c is-good-wife-and-more/ (1) Have you got any ‘ NCIS ‘ scoop about our favorite Goth? – SolisticeDreams Yes, and you best read it quickly, because it concerns this week’s episode: Ducky has a secret, and Abby is on a mission to find out what it is. This begs the question: What does a Goth wear when going undercover – a frilly pink sundress? (2) I can’t picture Mark Harmon “with” Rena Sofer on ‘NCIS.’ They just don’t go! – Mary Ann Calm, calm…. It’s looking like hot romance isn’t necessarily in the cards for Gibbs and no-nonsense attorney M. Allison Hart. As reported by Fancast’s Nicholas White, Harmon said just the other day, “I know people are talking about… where that is going, and I can guarantee you it isn’t going where people think it’s going.” The ‘NCIS’ lead added, “I know [Rena] will be somewhat involved in the arc as we head toward the end of the year, but I don’t know what she’s doing.” (3) ‘NCIS’ should tread carefully when making changes . In the past if the powers-that-be felt a change was needed, there was a pregnancy. Now there would be a big change – Gibbs getting ****. Crazy, yes, but have you watched TV lately? Nothing surprises me. – Diane I have watched TV lately, yes, but I must admit: Mark Harmon’s character getting **** would very much surprise me. ‘NCIS’ boss Shane Brennan is a crafty man, but I am betting that is not where he’s going with the season finale/” life-changing decision .”

OMG the drought is over in DC---finally a scene with rain. No seriously it's not over yet, but I'm really enjoying this so far. Okay it's over now and I must admit I really loved it---need to check out the writer, missed it in the beginning. Sure hope we're going back to basics.

Frank Cardea & George Schenck, who wrote "Flesh & Blood" together (& a list of others, of course).

why didn´t ducky tell gibbs that his mother died?I remember the scene of the episode where he reproach gibbs that he never told him about shannon and kelly - so why is this old prudent man didn´t talking about his mothers dead? - also a new character change?

What a lovely surprise! This is one of the better episodes this season. If you're not watching it "live" any more, do catch up with this one.

Just because you expect something of someone else doesn't mean you hold yourself to the same standard. Also, Shannon & Kelly had died some time before, whereas Ducky's mother hasn't been dead long. Likewise, Ducky is used to being there for everyone, so I'm not quite sure he'd want the mothering treatment. Besides, they *finally* addressed what happened. Maybe everyone brought it up so much that they finally listened. But they did it, & that's what's important.

Okay. Here's what I liked about this episode. The Tim - Tony goodness. From beginning to end it was banter and fun and awesome. Nothing too harsh, they made me laugh. I feel like this hasn't happened in a while.I love howTim was so against it but couldn't help himself showing Tony the technology and of course Tony takes full advantage ofit. Love Tony teasing Timatthe beginning 'How could you?'. . Ziva used crime solving and didn't have a fight scene. Nice change of pace. . .Gibbs. Awesome as always. . Okay, my favorite was the Tony - Tim goodness but who can blame me? I'm a sucker for their big bro/ little bro relationship . The converstation between Gibbs and Ducky at the end. And the look Gibbs gave him. . Most of all they solved a case. A regular case. No ship anvils, no obscure relatives with twisted secrets. Just plain ol' crime solving. . They finally put the Ducky's mother storyline to rest although Imust stay Ichoked up watching it. I had a feeling they would take this route - Ducky's mom having died a while ago but Ducky not saying anything. I'm just wondering how long it's been. What Ididn't like: Tony interrogating the guy and then the guy dying. It just didn't sit right with me. . Abby and the puppy. Random and not funny random. Just random. I'm also wondering how long she had the little guy since she's not allowed to have dogs in her apartment. But she's a substitute (I think she said) so Iguess the puppy isn't stayin for long. *shrug* . I figured out it was the PIpretty much at the beginning. . .Itseemed like most of Ziva's lines were countering something Tony had said or criticizing it. Though I'm starting to think I'm ultra sensitive to it now. It was probably nothing. . Ziva's'He thinks I'm hispersonal assistant' comment didn't really bother me, but Ithought it was kind of funny cause when Tim was probie he's was grabbin everyone coffee regularly. Oh well. . No Palmer? *wibble* . Overall, what I didn't like wasso insignificant in comparison to what Idid like. Nice episode. True to NCISform. I liked it.

When your a doctor - specifically an ME death is understood. So if your Mom lived a long and generally happy life why not accept it? I can relate to that - my Mother died this year at 93. She had a long, happy, and lived and loved. Everyone reaches their end-why not a gracious one ? As to Ducky's very surprising ending minutes must admit I was shocked ! Everyone else (less Abby) has a story arc with a romantic twist and tease. Now we have Ducky with a chance. Loved this episode. Nicely balanced, all characters (favorite ones especially) were front and center. A nice crime show for a change (with the ending Ducky moments as the only shock and awe moments). Doubt we will be this lucky two weeks in a row. But it would be nice. We do have get on to the march to the grand finale for season 7. Somehow Ducky's romance would qualify as the shocking exit for season 7.

I really liked the episode. The case was intriguing and held my attention. I loved Tim and Tony's interactions. Abby and the dog were adorable (when he pulled on her pigtail I absolutely awww-ed). . The Ducky mom storyline wasn't unexpected. I really loved the last scene with Gibbs and Ducky.

The puppy was cute, but that was one of the few things I would have preferred hadn't been there. The dog has no business at work... especially not in a lab. I still give the episode a B+ teetering to the A- side, but that was one of the few things that was out of place.
. It was very nice to see them actually SHOW Ziva doing something they've always *TOLD* us she was good at. . Great to see some Mid-Atlantic weather, though gotta wonder how Ziva's lived in DC that long without learning about the need to wash the deicing gunk off her car. That was about the only awkward bit of writing. There had to be a better way to lead into her realizing there was a problem with the PI's statement. . And we got Smart!Tony! And Geek!McGee! And GrownUp!Abby! (And I only wanted to slap Ziva twice. That's something of a record of late.) And Gibbs on the table in autopsy to talk to Ducky! Loved the quiet goodbye to Victoria. He was all she had and in the end, he kept her to himself for as long as he could. Very poignant.
