I just finished watching today's show and was so sick!! Why do they have Lily getting mad at Cane for telling her in a nut shell that he was letting her go...is that not what's she's been asking for!?!? Don't get me wrong, I am a total Lane fan, but COME ON!!! Lily didn't stand up and fight for Cane and she ran away every time he tried to get close and NOW she gets mad at him, WTF!!! This writing makes no sense at all and there better be a big turn around b/c I was, like it seems a lot of folks are, seriously pissed tonight, this just put the icing on the cake for me tonight!!!! But on a bright note, they bring back Daniel and Amber, BLAAAAHHHHH!!! So freakin boring!!

I have been saying all along that Hogan Sheffer was nothing but trouble for this soap. Thus far he has only proven me right! The man thinks just like Lynn Marie Latham. Right now NOTHING positive is happening on this show, it's all gloom and doom! I'm sick of these writers playing with this show and it's characters with complete disregard of how the fans feel! You're right I thought the same thing. Lily didn't fight for him, and she was a dumb a$$ for letting Chloe hang around her and Cane, and for letting her move into her place. Now she gets mad. I am a LANE fan, but come on.

There are only two couples I care about on this show....Lane and Shick and there better be a HUGE turnaround after November sweeps! These two couples better be reunited or I'm done with Y&R!

I'm with you Triny...I was always a SHICK fan and just when I lost all hope of a true romance on Y&R, they brought us Lane...only to break them up!!! WHAT THE HELL!! Just reading these posts on the board, it seems alot of the Lane fans are also Shick fans, that's kinda interesting, I guess we're the true romantics at heart!!

Exactly! It's unfortunate that Y&R which is owned by Sony, and these new writers that Sony employed.....they know absolutely nothing about this show! Y&R was built on romance, intrigue and cliffhangers. Up until Lane none of that was happening! And now it's all gloom and doom, nothing positive is happening on this show! LML the last head writer was doing the exact same thing and it got her fired! And as it stands the current s/l's are being presented in a similar manner to the fans and it's crap! I've posted it so many times now that I feel like I have carpal tunnel syndrome! Kay Alden is the TRUE writer of this soap and Sony made a HUGE mistake getting rid of her and her writing team. Under her the ratings were in the 7's! Look at this soap now, it's mediocre! Jack forging Victor's diary is retarded, Nikki leading the FBI on a wild goose chase is doubly retarded, Victor in hiding....I can't say enough at how ridiculous it all is! These writers are pulling crap out of their azzez because they aren't creative enough to write something compelling! It's very disheartening to see this soap that I've been watching for over 2 decades be reduced to this!

That's my problem, D! I'm a total Lane fan, but it there was some other s/l that I thought was worthy of my time, I'd continue to watch. Some thing Lane fans are opposed to the breakup. They think we don't want "angst". The thing is we would've welcomed angst, but this is "contrivance". This s/l was concocted to destroy Lane. Now, that they've gotten the backlash from hell, they're trying to fix it. But the MFer's broke it---and not just Lane. They've destroyed this entire show w/ their lack of vision and nepotism. And they're wasting a setting like Paris on some damn kids? I used to get angry, but now I'm LMAO as switching the station. Hell, I was watching Rachel Ray the other day cuz I forgot that Y&R was even on! Didn't miss it one bit. Once you snatch the bandage off, it's easy sailing from there. I refuse to be held hostage in hopes of a Lane sighting, or the fact that I've been a fan for decades, or in hopes that the writing will improve. It won't. Not as long as these three are around.

FRANKLY AS LONG AS CANE IS THE WAY HE IS NOW.....CHLOE CAN HAVE HIM. LILY DESERVE FAR BETTER. WHEN HE WAKES UP....IF ITS NOT TOO LATE....THEN HE CAN WORK TO WIN HER BACK!!

The writers sure have done a number on our couple. I held on to the hope that they would be together again, but I'm about to give up. I wanted Cane and Lily together, but I wanted Big Daddy Cane and his Tiger Lily. What we have now are two weaklings that I hardly recognize. Lily fighting for Cane one minute...then giving him away the next. Cane wanting to be with her, but then giving up...forgetting what a liar and a cheat the un-named one is. Yep, the writers are driving the fans away and they don't care. Please don't forget to sign the petition. Since our outcries have not had an affect on the writers, maybe we need to direct our outrage to Sony.

You'll need to send me the link for the petition. I never got it from the last person that told me to sign it. Something needs to be done about this. If it isn't the next petition we need to start is a petition to fire MAB and Hogan Sheffer!

I've been watching this show for 14 yrs I remember when Y&R used to have wonderful storylines that were drawn out just right. What we have seen the last couple of years is trash. I hadn't watched this show for two years then came LANE and it was as if something special had returned. Now they've broken them up with this cheap, stupid, unimaginative storyline. If you're gonna break them up at least do it in an interesting way that will have viewers on the edge of their seat rooting for the couple. I fear this show is going into the toilet! No wonder people don't respect daytime television. This storyline needs to end ASAP.

Hi,This is my first post, all the way from Sydney, australia. We are about 8 or 9 months behind over here. Cane and Lily have just gotten together. Cane and Lily studying was just aired today. Have been so looking forward to them getting together. I guess I had better enjoy it while it lasts. Hate the way this s/l has gone. Bring them back together. Sooner rather than later.
