No one is ever as impressed with Laurence Fishburn as Laurence Fishburn. I have no clue as to why he took this gig..maybe he got tired of waiting for them to make another Matrix movie As I have said before, I'll watch until Billy's last episode, then I am done. I, in no way, begrudge BP his wish to return to stage work...but I will miss him as Grissom. He brought humor, warmth and depth to his portrayal..qualities LF doesn't appear to possess. I'll leave it to you guys to keep me up to date on how the series is progressing ( or not ) once epi 10 is over.

He's suppose to make some guest appearances. Not sure how many. But it would be good to know if he goesto be with Sara.

It's definately going to take some getting use to not having Grissom/Peterson around. I didn't think I would like it when Liev Schrieber filled in, but I was mistaken. I liked Liev and his charecter, but it did help knowing Grissom would return. Peterson has stated that he will make occasional visits and after the play finishes...who knows? At least give Fishburne's charecter a chance, we might get suprised again.

Slam me if you will but CSI will no longer be my favorite if Grissom leaves. Sara's already gone; Warrick has passed away. What makes them think that CSI will ever be the same without three of the major characters? Why couldn't they just keep Grissom? He is the epitome of the CSI existence! CSI will never be the same ever. It wasn't even the same when Sara left the first time. And while I'm here, Lady Heather is not good for Grissom.

Laurence Fishburn is an excellent actor. He's played a range of very diverse characters in his career as an actor from Boys in the Hood to The Matrix. He has presence and a voice that gets your attention. He can easliy fit into a series such as CSI. The question is what type of character role will CBS put him into?In any case the writers of the show have done great with the current and past characters that have come and gone. I agree he will bring a new fan base to the show.

Laurence Fishburn is an excellent actor in his own right. One of the beauties of a show like this (& smart writers & producers take a queue from successes like Law & Order) is that just as in real life, attrition happens. I don't care if you work at Jack in the Box or for a government official, personnel changes. That brings in new personalities, just as in our lives. Nothing is ever constant. That is the human variable. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the table. Don't be a naysayer just yet. Again, he is an accomplished actor, so he deserves a shot.Yep, let's do this revolving door thing JUAN MO TIME!!!!

So what kind of problems is he causing? Some of these big stars do show a lot ofaggression for their own good. Their head swelled too much.

Grissom/peterson chose to leave on his own, so there is no if they replace him choice, they have to. So whining about not watching is only going to rob you self of a good show but hey that means 40 mins more to spend with kids, animals, shopping or w/e else you may do. The only constant anywhere is change and some of you must not deal with it very well but thats ok you can quit no ones stopping you. Gris will leave. With sara who knows, with heather? who knows till thurs. Riley is a good young start and she gets along well with greg he needs a pick me up after demetris's crap. This is CSI not the Grissom and Sara show so the writers will write for the crime drama because that is the reason for the show. New people will come in just like in real life there are very few who stay in the same department for 30 yrs or more, most leave to go on to better positions, different cities or to change careers entirely. The show is just mimicking life and its sad to see griss go cuz he is one of my faves, but i wont deny this good show just because he left. I'll watch it until the end which if it lasts through this season it'll probably only make it to a season 10, that seams to be the happy ending number for series shows.

He won't be Grissom. Nobody can replace Grissom. As a loyal fan for many yearsI won't watch if he leaves the show! It was bad enough that you killed off Warrick!

I am going to give LF a chance. Although he seems over qualified for the role. I have no doubt that he can and will do a good job. But Riley has not impressed me at all in fact I have not been into the show since they found Warrick in the ally. So I had no idea that WP was leaving or LF was going to join the cast.He is an actor and a good one .BUT it's still not Warrick( Gary). The actor brought something to the show. I wish him well....
