Well they have Michael's office set in moth balls. At least they can reconfigure the loft for Restless Style and paint it, add extras to be in scenes, bring in guest star after guest star, throw a party for its opening, and create a web site for the story yet they can't manage to pull out Michael's office set once in ahwile. Instead they have him keeping files all over his front room where supposedly a toddler lives. To me it still reeks of favoritism to the quad. Look at this Paris shoot. Nick, Sharon and Phyllis go yet they haven't even had the Phick story start there yet and Christian Le Blanc is the favorite actor in France ranked closely with Nikki and Victor. They supposedly went their to celebrate Y & R's 30th anniversary in France yet did not bring the favorite actor of the French people. And the sad fact is I never doubted that some or all of the quad would go to Paris for the shoot with either Victor, Nikki or both. I knew there was absolutely no chance they would send Christian Le Blanc on a shoot like that. He may have earned the lead actor emmy's in two of the past four years, but they don't treat him like one of their "stars".

As for the office for Michael, or Lauren at Fenmore's; they are on limited space on these sets; so like someone previously posted, you have to leave it to the imagination. The only 'set' situation that throws me for a loop, is that everyone has sex on a sofa on this show. No one ever goes to a bedroom; except if they rent a room at the GC Athletic Club! It's trashy.

Michael once had an office with "Cricket". What happened to that place? Thats true about the Winter's, why don't they have a mansion? he just lives in a condo, or apt. whatever it is and he has just as much money as jack or victor, he needs a COOL mansion, not with all the fancy stuff but with modern day stuff.no old antiques.

We only see him conducting business in his apartment or at the coffee house. It would appear that Lauren is his executive secretary. Which brings up another question -- If Lauren is the head of the Fenmore chain of department stores, who is running her business? From time to time, we see her ringing up a sale at the boutique, which is about the size of a small bedroom. If Michael is a hot shot attorney and Lauren is the owner of a chain of department stores, and if Neil is the head of Newman Enterprise, and if Gloria and Jeffrey are worth at least 50 million, why are they all living in little apartments and a poolhouse? Why do we have to endure storylines with Marge, Karen and Anna, the child singing phenom......boring.
LMAO Things that make ya go hmmmmmmm....

If you can afford Paris, why can't you have a mansion for the rich? and Mrs C's living room is smaller than my apartment. Designer store worth Lauren's millions perhaps. Why such small places. We aren't that gullable to believe the settings. They are getting more noticeable to me. It takes away from the story lines sometimes.

You're all right. I also want to know why do so many people live at "the club" in what is basically an efficiency. These people have tons of dough and can't afford a house? Apparently, the "club" has an infinite number of rooms for everyone to come and go (Adam for eg) Nikki, in particular and now she's back at the Newman compound. Not only that, Nick and Victoria never even thought to leave the ranch when they were at odds with Victor. Okay, Nick almost left and then never did. It's so incestuous. Kind of like Dallas was. I love my family but hell will freeze over before we all live together.

I wonder why so much corporate business is conducted in the Break Room of Newman Towers It would be embarrassing, I think, for other staff to come in for a "break" only to be eyeballed by one or more of the Newman execs as if to say: "what the h##l are you doing in here? Can't you see we're having a meeting?" I worked in a major government company, and our break room was meant for all personnel--which, I'm assuming that the break room at Newman's is. too. Also, the last person emptying the coffee carafe should be the person refilling it--at least that's how it was where I worked! Hmmm, maybe Victor hired a coffee-juice-water-food supply refill/restock worker I wonder who makes the coffee?

What ever happened to Olivia's son Nate? He is older than Lily but the last time they showed him they had him appear to be about 10 and she was a teenager. Now that she is back on the show you would think that he would want to see his mom and cousin too.Why haven't they fixed the window at the ranch? They can get a new one from window world for $189. Also is poor Zappato suck at a kennell? With everyone traveling the world who is left to feed him. They can't reveal to soon that Billy is the father of Chloe's baby. First Billy and Lily have to get together, she starts to believe in love again, Lily is heart broken again because another man has lied to her and then Cane can come and make it all better. Then another child will disappear mysteriously from the set even though we know he's out there somewhere. Finally hasn't Heather learned her lesson. We all know how this will end. She'll be going down in flames.

Talking about sets... if Nick and Phyliis are so rich why do they live in the tackhouse at the Newman Ranch? Old faithfuls of the show will remember that Cole and Victoria lived there as young kids with no money... Not grown adults with a family... I mean get a house people... YOu are Newmans!

There is suspension of disbelief and then there is stupidity. I think the sad fact is that Lauren and Michael are a low priority to the writers and so they have taken away their businesses and for awhile they weren't even showing their home. If a person was a new viewer they would think Lauren was a stay at home mom and not a CEO of a chain of department stores. The last time we saw the boutique was when Lauren hired Gloria for two days because it involved Gloria. I can't think of another time all this year we have seen the boutique which used to be a staple of the show. Michael is a lawyer to everyone and he and Paul can share an office yet the show would rather bust the budget making a new set for the favored Phyllis, Nick, Sharon, and Jack rather than bother to bring out Michael's old office. I guess they should feel lucky they still have their apartment.

I just assume that whenever we don't see Michael and Lauren at home, that means they are at work.It is common TV kid practice that the little ones are heard of and not seen. The exception to that were the Olsen Twins' part on Full House. That's why the show hired both of them. They needed more face time with the camera, so each kid maxed out her hours to make the character more believable. But we know Y&R pioneered the kid goes to boarding school/camp/their room and comes back 13 years older. It started with Nick and Victoria and the latest casualty is Nick's son!! Next time we see Abbey, she'll be 30 years old!! What do you want to bet that Summer, Fen and Reed will be back next month as 5 year olds?As for the living quarters, I've been watching the show since it started and I have only seen the upstairs of the Chancellor Mansion about five times that I can remember. Been upstairs at the Abbott Estate once or twice. Seen the inside of a bedroom at the Ranch once or twice -- most recently when Victoria was in that coma. For all the sex they seem to be having, no one seems to have much of a bedroom. Some stuff is just better left to our imaginations I guess.

Oh, and I totally agree that Nick and Sharon have to get back together. It's in the works as we can see... But it's hilarious how upset Phyllis is getting and shocked too! I mean, he cheated with you on Sharon idiot! HE is totally going to do it again. You were the other woman, not the love of his life!

WHO is Maggie?? LOLCan't wait for that whole Billy is the Baby Daddy story to bust wide open. Can't WAIT for Lily to channel the spirit of Drucilla and get her neck to rolling so she can tell Chloe to just back up off her man!! That's all she has to do.The whole story line about having Cane marry Chloe so this baby can have a father is noble, and I'm all for noble, but that's old-fashioned as heck! He can be the baby's father without being attached to the crazy psycho witch! At least then the baby would have a semi-normal step-mother/father relationship. Also, what is the deal with Karen wanting to "give" Neil a child? That is over! Individuals do not "give" their spouses children!! A couple has a child together!! It is not Karen's sole mission in life to have babies for some man. She had a hysterectomy to protect her health. Good for her. If some man dumped her because she couldn't have kids, then she should celebrate the day she dumped his ass.And while I'm on the subject of nobility and old-fashioned story lines ... if they are going to be old-fashioned about babies and marriages, why oh why does God have to be called "the Universe"???
