Let me first start off by saying this, being on the west coast due to a business trip I was finally able to see TU at it's scheduled time. unfortunately seeing as my body is still on east coast time I had to wait an extra three hours before I could watch it. But now that I have...I really liked this episode. Now I am not going to say that TPTB have been listening to us but forgive me if all those scenes having the team run through the mission in planning mode did not give me the feeling of background on the mission. Something that many posters have stated that they wanted. The first time they all "died" my reaction was "ok, whose dream is this??". I loved it the way they worked out the plan, the way they walked in knowing some of them were not coming out, and them all on the helo thinking of their brother's as if it was the last time they would see them and finally Jonas getting his epiphany. But one of the best parts was when Jonas ordered the DoD doctor into the mission. I cannot wait until 2009 when we will be able to see how this plays out. I just hope we will not have to wait through too many episodes for it to happen. And is it only me or do anyone else think the Bravo team survivor would be PERFECT to solve the replacement for Hector. He is already TU and his team is gone, so they could add him to Alpha and then replace the entire Bravo team. Although I am sure RC will be back, this looks to develop into an interesting story. I was a little afraid the Colonel would be caught sneaking her off the base when those two MPs gave each other the "look".I hate two-parters, and especially two-parters that occur before the holidays and the fear of a SAG strike. They better return after the new year.Nyn

Argh!! To be continued?? Nooooo...The Unit should be on 24/7 so that we fans don't have to go through torture trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I cannot wait until the next episode. I'm going crazy. What a great show! I agree, I loved that Jonas took over in the helicopter. Like someone mentioned earlier, I wonder if they are going through an exercise to show the doc a lesson. How infuriating it is to have someone else (who has a degree and really no real world experience) tell the Unit how to run their game and to not say anything about a captured soldier! The only PhD who is excused is Jack Ryan but he's not in this show. I loved how they played out the different scenarios in the beginning. When I first saw them get killed..I was like..what??!! hehe. It gives me a better idea of what the team goes through before they execute their plan.I would be so pissed if I was Bob and knew that my wife was almost killed for doing more undercover work. I usually can't stand Kim but loved her in this episode. She definitely used her smarts...putting the nail in the tire. I would have never thought of that especially since I would have been scared. I thought that she was going to escape through the window before getting caught in the closet. Oh and the baby is soo soo cute.Glad that Ryan tried to protect Red Cap...I wonder if she'll be in the future episodes. LOVE, LOVE THE SHOW!! I can't wait to find out what happens next! Keep up the great work.

Is it possible for this show to get any better? Awesome.....outstanding,,,,,on e of the best episodes yet!!!!! Jonas was tooooo cooool in how he handled Dr Death! I've known guys like that. When it's their butt on the line they fold.PS: Kim's little double chin seems to be getting bigger........or was it just a bad camera angle?

Love the show and loved this episode. Without question the best show on TV right now. That said, one think stuck out that as someone with a lot of trigger time (all civilian) that I found rather irritating. The Glaser frangible rounds they discussed. It is a copper jacket but instead of a solid lead core, it contains very very small buckshot. On impact, the buckshot is released into the target. It was designed to break up in things like drywall so that you can shoot in say a building and not shoot all the way through it. Used to keep some in my personal protection weapon when I still lived in an apartment. Make no mistake, this stuff is extremely lethal. It wont punch through body armor, which none of the BGs were wearing. That round dumps every bit of kinetic energy into the target on impact where a full metal jacket round takes some with it as it exits the target.I actually shot a deer several seasons back with two 10mm Glaser Blue rounds. At about two inches apart into the chest of the buck, they pretty much liquified the heart as well as the lungs. I've never seen anything else do that sort of damage. But, hey, it's Hollywood and that doesnt change that this is still the best show going. Great cast and its the one show I make sure I dont miss. Also, I want more Redcap. I've heard others say there arent women in Delta. Unless you are in Delta, who knows. I love what they do with her and I'm glad she put it on the line for the team.

I believe Kim's third pregnancy was real. I mean it's her real baby in real life. She might have gained little weight after giving birth. I also think that the bravo team guy, i believe his name is Beau should join Jonas' team. I was rolling on the floor when I see him push the Doctor against the wall. I see some new faces on the forum, welcome! Yes, it was a pretty decent episode indeed. Glad we all enjoyed. Here comes the wait for a month

Great episode!!! Absolutely loved the behind-the-scenes, planning of the mission, part of the storyline!!! I liked that they addressed the consequences of Red Cap's actions in lying about authorization to extract the team from Syria. And they brought the Bravo team into the storyline as well...looks like they will carry over this episode into the next one...Anyone seeing that TPTB are giving us what we have all been complaining about lately!?!

ShiningHorse wrote: [size=18][color=bla - k]Thanks for the info HuggSnok. Everybody is not active or ex-military. As far as the wives on undercover missions, Kim's is over for now. And looks like Redcap is gone for a little while, off to the Philliphenes. Hooray! I am not military in any way, just read alot and pick up tons of useless info along the way. Or well, I did my conscript time where i live i figure, but asides from that i'm not very much military. I actually don't quite like guns to begin with. In shows and games its all fun perhaps, but real life i prefer not having one. ShiningHorse wrote: Taz, I was wondering why the shooting was so loud. That's like announcing to everybody where you are. The silencers would have been great and seem like something SF would always use on sneak attacks or recon missions. Again, i dabble into this, but using a silencer comes with a bit of drawback. You loose range for one thing, if i remember correctly a silencer slows down the velocity of the bullet, making it travel slower and shortens the range and impact power of the bullet. in CQB (Close Quarter Battle) that does not matter much, but when you put a bit of distance between the team and opfor then a silencer would become inconveniant. Then again, im not 100% expert on the matter, but this is some of the useless stuff i picked up in books and what not. Could be i got the silencer thing mixed up with the other stuff, but I believe this is one reason they don't use silencers that often for sniping missions and such. ShiningHorse wrote: I also think they should whisper or talk in low voices more too. Did you hear how loud Grey was when they found the heroine? I was like shut up man, you want the enemy to hear you? This i can agree with you on, they seem to have throat microphones on them, enabling them to be able to communicate through just whispers. Might be its more for the show though. Gets a bit hard having an entire dialouge made in whispers.

And yaaay! This episode gave me all warm fuzzy feelings inside again, it seems they found the right track to tumble down upon once again. And I am soooo glad this whole wife thing is over now! This episode was a mission well done!

That round dumps every bit of kinetic energy into the target on impact where a full metal jacket round takes some with it as it exits the target. Hm, I think they actually werent that far off the mark if you think about what they discussed. For one thing, they had no intel as to wether or not the opfor was going to wear protection or not, thus one issue about the Glaser round, second, he mentions a shot to the head for a kill, as in if they wore protection. Most rounds fired from a weapon are leathal, even the so called non leathal ones. Hit at a bad place and you die no matter how non leathal the round is. This even goes for some of the training ammo used. Hm, again im not expert, but the rounds used by the military would be 5.56 rounds rather than 10mm would they not? Atleast since they were using the M4 system. Not sure what rifle you used either, but weight and size of bullet combined with a higher velocity leaves for more damage if i dun remember things wrong. I think the round you used was specifically meant for hunting. (I doubt you were out shooting deer just for the fun of shooting something ) DarkGunman wrote: Also, I want more Redcap. Hey HuggSnok, squash that Redcap crap! You just wanna see those headlights of hers. Did you see that shirt she was wearing as Ryan was trying to sneek her offbase? Too low cut for base wear. She's dresses like a tramp, just like the writers want her to be. Showing more skin does not equal sexy! You learned all that stuff about guns and you don't have some sort of fetish? Well, I think The Unit is back on track. Finally! I am going to watch that one again just so I can see Jonas take control...makes me wanna blush thinking about it. Something about a big man in charge...umm. And he is not a meany, just in control. Now if they can just get Ryan back to telling the gov't squares to f*ck off when they mess with his men and back to badazz, I think it definately will be back on the road again. I still respect the man/character. Y'all notice Bob is getting a little...smart alekee and rolling his eyes? What's that about? Rookie tryna be a smart butt. ShiningHorse

Now this is the kind of episode I'm talking about. It had everything. Laying out the mission plan, rescuing a Bravo team member, Red Cap in trouble for her misuse of her position, continuing the storyline over into the next episode, and a plausible wrap-up of Kim's homefront mission. Hooah!

Ryan was keeping Red Cap in his office. He wanted to have an attractive woman around. He should've sent him back to his house just kidding..If you're saying why Bob was rolling his eyes in the video conference room, I really think that he must be saying to himself 'Is this a commercial? What's all these CISCO stuff?! It's so darn cool'. His look was funny just few seconds before he left the room.
