I agree with getting the show back on track. Please consider posting your concerns on the Dissatisfied Viewers thread. We're hoping to put all of our concerns on one thread so that it might draw attention.

So it has been focused on a little bit too much but Ive enjoyed watching it to be honest. If they had cleaned it all up in the first 2 episodes we would all be complaining that 'its too soon for Ziva to have been forgiven.' Ithink 'Tiva' has become part of the show now. Belissario created the sexual tension between the two characters

The focus is too much & the forgiveness is too quick & too complete....Ducky confronted Gibbs over Franks obviously lying to them & too umbrage to it...why in the world was it so easy for Ziva to get forgiveness for the lies as well then?? She shouldn't be on the team so quickly & so completely. In regards to Tiva being a part of the show, DPB also created/enabled the subtext chemistry that allowed for many other pairing to emerge outside of just that one. Yet all of the other subtext has been killed in favored of the entitled princess. Enough already!! Either write/allow all the subtext the way it used to be or kill it all but the heavy focus on Ziva is so old news....

Ialso was shocked that they had Tony quoting Rush Limbaugh and all thoseother little comments. I mean, can you say OOC? Tony's pretty tolerant of everybody for the first 6 seasons and then WHAMO!

Oh exactly! And also, it's been established *many times* during the first five seasons that Tony is extremely proud of his Italian heritage. We also learned in S6 that he has an English mother. So where did that attitude towards immigration come from?!And it wasn't funny - althoughI'm sure the Tiva folk are intepreting it as an example of their witty repartee and amazing chemistry.I found the whole convo icky and was glad they didn'trevisit it.Seriously, Tony is a RushLimbaugh-quotingbigot?Who ARE thesepeople and what happened to the characters I used to love so much?

Exactly. I don't know where that whole thing came from. Putting views on RLaside, that was really an 'out there' thing for Tony (at least the Tony I've come to understand) to say. He might have been kidding, but I just realized I can't tell when Tony's kidding anymore. That makes me really sad.

Agreed. I found that scene cringe-worthy, along with the one at Gibbs' house where Tony mentions how Ziva is trying to start over. GAG. I've come to dislike the character of Ziva so much that most of the scenes she is in now annoy the c r a p out of me. I used to be able to tolerate her, but not anymore.

well just, I agree with most of what you said, and Outlaws and In-Laws was heading back to the old NCIS. I totally loved that show, everyone had some exposure, no one character was over exposed in my mind. Okay, Okay I did figure out "who done it" early (not normal for me), but it was still a great show for me. If the rest of the season goes this way I may even buy the DVD for S7.

I'm with you!

Was he being sarcastic/Ironic or otherwise trying to pull someone's chain?

I took it as him winding Ziva up.

Umm...a little OT here--Rush L. is not a bigot, if that's what you meant to imply.

I suppose he was but I didn't see any joking behind it. I hope he was just yanking her chain.

Everyone should be happy with the last episode, then.

Since this is the 1000th time this issue has been discussed, come to any new conclusions?

I'm venting my ENTITLEMENT 101. I want more of the NCIS Igrew to love which included a huge smattering of bromance between Gibbs and Tony long before the Mossad agent who can't came along.

I'm not sure I can completely agree on all that quote, but there is that element of "bromance" (or what I'd refer to as idolizing) that I would like to see more of. Remember when Gibbs and Dinozzo used to talk about something Kate did or they actually seemed like they were partners?Iliked that.McGee doesn't idolize Dinozzo like Dinozzo idolized Gibbs. I just feel that there is a (non-kinky) relationship I'm missing since somewhere at the beginning of season 6. Iget that the characters have to grow, and after sticking with the show for 7 seasons, am more than willing to wait and see what happens. Just makes me a little anxious I suppose.
