just don't like the girl not good material, horrible in this series, Michelle Rodriguz, katie Sattathe, these are girls who could play the part and add something new to the unit that would be good. It was so bad i quit watching the unit. Thought they got rid of her and then she's back, which was a horrible episode

red cap was not even in all of the episodes in season 4.

Good grief, she has only been in like three episodes and she played a necessary person in all of them. No there are not any female operators in the USSOC, but she is not playing the roll of an operator, she is in the support staff like the lady Kayla in the command center with the Coloniel. Have a little faith and let the writers do there thing and see how it turns out.

I agree too, she does not belong!! the show is and has lost all creditablity. The end of last season and this season is like the hindinburg, Going down in Flames! My wife gives me greif about it because SHE THINKS they have made the wives over step their rolls in the show too.The writing is on the walls, the show has been pushed back out of prime time and airs on sundays, use to follow NCIS on Tues. which use to be my faviorite nite, now football has screwed up the times too, by running over, not going to go there now, This show use to represent the special forces, NOW it is as said earlier, a nite time soap.

But it is still The Unit with our favorite actors and I'm going to watch it no matter what. But would like to see a few more special forces ops because they are really intriguing and edge of your seat with action. I like that.

this season is progressing very very slowly..andgamanda212 said it already. Red Cap isn't even a field operator. You see her in undercover missions but not in those hardcore covert missions. I think there's a distinction between the types of missions and roles she's in. We still haven't seen her firing a SMG or anything bigger, that's a good sign!

... and it's probably a good thing she hasn't shot with anything bigger than a handgun. Hate to see what she could blow up with her eyes closed. Even so, it would be interesting to see if they give RedCap some decent storylines so we can have more concern for her as someone mentioned in another thread.

Black Thorn always welcome people like Red Cap too I wonder if Blackwater (the real mercenary) takes a lot of combat contracts for people??

ok I havent started season 4 yet cause I wait for the dvds, but the reason I was attracted to the show was the realistic aspect of it. Formerly serving in the Army myself, especially serving in the infantry its easy to spot the innaccuracies but for the most part its realistic. I recently heard they brought a women on to the unit and I think it is absolutely absurd. NO women in combat arms PERIOD. the fact that they even interviewed her makes me laugh. they would have read her app. saw female and thrown it away in a heart beat! the fact that they moved it this way says they want to pick up women viewers but seriously they lost major credit and it really does piss me off. In the infantry the men would have nothing to do with a women if she were there and I mean NOTHING.

draw,Red Cap is NOT in the unit itself and has not been in any combat scenes. She works for the DOD with the unit. Whatever she said in her interview, I would take with a grain of salt. She is more often than not in a support position. Hope that helps ease your mind a little. Any may I add: THANKS for serving our country and making me proud to be American on your side. Roo

Okay, I find those 2 statements interesting. Women are trained to fight and may be placed in a combat zone. Right? What do you mean the infantry men would have nothing to do with a woman in their unit or whatever? They would have to intereact and work together. Right? Please explain your comments for us non-military people. And, what does infantry do? I think I know but I want to make sure. Thanks.Edited part: I'm not advocating for Redcap.
