Last season, Jack suffered a major blow to his career. Do you think it was his fault? How will he handle it?

I think he deserved to be fired and, if it were real, he would have been. This show's greatest downfall is that it's become the Jack Malone Show. It got better ratings when it had balanced storylines. They need to create a great storyline for Danny. When they finally gave him a relationship with Elena, Jack swooped into that storyline as well and became more a part of it than Danny. It's not fair and the imbalance has made this show lose viewers at a rapid rate.

Unfair? Nop Idon't tink so. But having a new boss few episode, and Jack like a streat agent, it's a great thing. It'll bring something new to the show, and plus it might bring Jack and Sam back together wich is even better ! I can't wait to see this new season !

Yep I agree with Feerie. I don't think it's unfair. It's refreshing and I can't wait to see Medina as the leader of the team, even for a few episodes. [ Apple_1973 , you are right. we need more Danny ( and more D/E ) ]

He's demoted and stays in the team therefore his career, his competences, his talent are recognized else he was suspended or demoted in an another team or turned : it's a just punishment with protection. He's not perfect (happily) but like the others. On the ratings, it's general and for a change of schedule, it's often ineluctable. This show is always in the ten top (show with script).Small remark : the season 5 was fallen and there are Danny - Elena and critics ...It's difficult to please all people. It's a detective show (not forget) and Anthony Lapaglia (great actor) is the leader ...(the others plays well also :wink . They participate all in the success of show : there are a lot of complicity.Sorry for the errors : I am french-speaking.

I like Jack, don't get me wrong. But if they keep focusing so much on his character, we'll never get more Danny or D/E. Just like last season, we didn't have any Danny storylines or any follow up on D/E. And this was because the focus was soley on Jack, with a little Sam thrown in. So I'm not really looking forward to Medina...because again that will take away from the all the other storylines they've never followed up on.

That is right but I wasn't really complaining for this since Jack and Sam are my favorite caracters lol.Anyway considering the initial question : fair or unfair ? I think that what happened to him was completly fair considering all the 'bad' things he's done this season. I have to admitt that i didn't really like the fact that Danny said to the OPR Jack couldn't run the MPU anymore but after spending all the summer long thinkin about this i finally came up with the conclusion that somehow, Danny did the good thing. Now, regarding the whole J/S thing, well i'm sure they would have gotten together anyways

No, I do not think he what happened to Jack was fair. He should have been fired so he was actually given a big favor by the powers above by being allowed to keep a job in the FBI. The Jack of today is not a Jack I recognize. I want Jack the badass SAC, solving crimes by using his head and heart, not his fist. I hope this demotion allows him to figure things out with Claire so he can return to the great man we know he was and hopefully can be again. I also hope they resolve this mess and get back to quality storylines and intriguing stuff for the entire team. I am growing weary of the Jack and Sam show. I watch for Danny, Martin, Vivian and, heck, I'd even prefer more Elena time over more JS. Then again, that may be because I am still very bitter about what became of MS. I mean, come on, do the WAT PTB seriously think we have amnesia and forgot?

I too want to see the Jack we loved return. the vigilante Jack was very hard to watch and it was a detritment to the show on the whole. As much of a Jack fan as I am, I want to see the whole team involved in stories and I want to see a small glimpse of each of their personal lives. I am afraid that the whow is becoming The Jack/Sam Soap Opera. I hope that this season will see the show return to the excellent procedureal crime drama that it was in the past.thank you for this forum and for the opportunity to voice my opionion.Looking forward to the new season.

I don't think it's unfair. As feerie I think that the demotion of Jack is a good thing for the show. I hope that that is going to be of use to him and that he will not act any more without thinking about the consequences because now he has to think of Sam and the Baby.Thank you for the evolution of the relation Jack and Sam for whom we waited for a long time.

Life will change for him because he willingly offered Sam to be there for her and the baby. Even, one of the exec. producers says Jack will redeem himself as a parent by being there for Sam and her baby.

I can't wait to see the Jack (and Sam) Show, personally. Jack can do whatever he wants and it's okay with me (except bringing that silly Anne and his mullet hair style back).Unfair for Jack to be demoted? I'm okay with it as it brings in a bit of drama and it's only for a few episodes anyway, so that's fine. Nice to see Steven Weber coming in to add to the drama.

I hope that means we get to see some time with Hanna and Kate. I always get a kick of when they visit the offices. Especially since Kate seems to want Jack to be happy - as well as the way she giggles at the thought of spending time with Danny, too.

I want Jack to get "back to normal" as well. His issues on the show have been soooo redundant. I think he needs to be the healthy boss again for awhile....and even be there for Sam, but let some of the others go through trauma or something.
