dyneemoThat's precisely why I watch this show. You hit it on the head. The characters are not that different from someone you might work with or meet up in the grocery store. Just normal everyday folks. No glamour.Which is one of the reasons why I am turned off by the Miami and New York CSI. Everyone is too "pretty" or too "suave"You are right about Peterson being an attractive man--but I think he worked really hard to make Grissom look like an average, everyday, man. If he had played up his physical attractiveness, it would have been very hard to take the Grissom character seriously.

...add to the "pretty" and "suave" those sleek, bright high tech labs as opposed to the dark, somewhat bleak, functional CSI (LV) sets...bad acting, set arrangements and plain old terrible writing have really turned me off to the other CSI shows.

I am sorry I don't like the Sara character at all. I don't think they are a good match and each epasode that drifts that way I feel like, Ok, she sqit, What the heck do we need to do ti be rid of her. I would much rather see Lady Heather, or Cathrine, or bring in someone new. Anyone but Sarah.

Well, some of us got our wish and some people didnt! I really doubt that we will see Jorja Fox again as Sara Sidle, and we might see Petersen return briefly as Grissom--in season 10.

HI I TOTALLY AGREE BUT I REALLY DONT WANT GRISSOM TO LEAVE AND I ALSO DIDNT WANT SARA TO LEAVE. ITS SO UNFAIR ALL THE GOOD CHARACTERS ARE LEAVING. I THINK THAT BILL P IS REALLY HOT AND I WILL HAVE AN EVEN WORSE TIME NOW THAT GRISSOM IS LEAVING. I JUST WANT GRISSOM AND SARA TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING AND BE AN INTERESTING COUPLE. I HOPE THAT THEY MAKE A CSI MOVIE.

i think that grissom and sarah are great together and when i saw at the end of csi 2 weeks ago that they were together it made me so happy. i was so sad that sarah left the show in season 7 but i guess that it was here time to go. but when grisson left i was extremly sad to see him go. i cried for 10 minutes and couldn't sleep. it was horrible

I think that the Grissom and Sara storyline is one of the reasons that alot of fans tuned in weekly, just to see what little bit the writers where going to give us each week. Some people may not have liked it, but to each his own. ALOT of fans did and I think we where very satisfied with the way they had Grissom exit. I do believe that Jorja Fox will be in future episodes, as will William Petersen later in the future seasons if the show can make it without him. It took a nice ratings dip from the usual 21.9 million viewers down to 17.6 that is over a 4 million viewer loss just from Billy leaving. I am hoping the show hangs in there just to see him come back for some episodes in season 10 but I think the writers are in for a rough road. I don't feel Laurence Fishburne was the right person to fill Billys BIG shoes. We lost to many main characters to fast and that is a hard road to tow. I hope tptb have some big ideas up there sleeves to keep us interested because I'll be honest I did not feel it last week. The show needed Grissom and Sara even the idea of them when Jorja left. I guess we will have to wait and see.

yeah i totally agree. we really did lose to many main characters, like warrick and sarah and now grissom. the show just won't be what it was before.

I agree Grissom and Sara characters added interest to the show that people tuned in every week to see weather the GSR storyline got 5 minutes or 15 seconds.

CSI actually averages 17 million viewers a week. The 24 million was a much bigger audience because Grissom was leaving. If the ratings go down from 17 million then they are losing ratings... Personally I think they will start to go down after this week. I think people watched last week just to see what it would be like. I was not impressed. LF was a little flat to me...

I agree, he was a flat, but I see potential in his character development and his acting ability, as well as a new spin on the original CSI.

I WAS SO GLAD TO SEE SARAH SIDLE AND GIL GRISSOM END UP TOGETHER EVEN IF IT WAS THE JUNGLE. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THAT SHE RETURN TO VEGAS AND THEM BOTH STAY. PLEASE FELLOW CSI WATCHERS LET'S GIVE MR. FISHBURNE A CHANCE.

Can someone tell me the season/episode that Sara found the letter from Grissom quoting the Shakespearean sonnet?
