I like the idea of Gibbs and Ziva. I don't know why since on some levels, I just don't think he would involve himself with someone he works with so closely. Yet I like the idea of Ziva and him. They make an interesting couple. What do others think???

I like the idea of Gibbs and Ziva too

Well there's 2 of us anyway who think it's a good idea! Have you read any good fanfic about them as a couple?

I like the idea of Gibbs/Ziva too.I have to tell you that I'm a hardcore Gibbs/Kate shipper,but like Ziva and Gibbs-very much.KIBBS is attraction by the differences and ZIBBS by similarities, Ziva and Gibbs are "pairs": both are soldiers, are strong and skilled, both have in within the altruism that bring this type of people, (warriors) to sacrifice themselves for the others wellbeing. Both have lost family and have a pretty similar concept about life... YES, they definitely match!This Ziva/Gibbs fic is very good. "Desperate Measures" by Rainne

I agree with what you said. I started watching NCIS after Kate died, so I don't really know her and I can't say anything about her, but as far as Ziva and Gibbs, I think you nailed it: is attraction by similarities...I like the fact that Ziva and Gibbs are pretty much always on the same page. There have been episodes where they literally ended each other's sentences (re: Corporal Punishment). There is an amazing level of trust between them...Desperate Measure by Rainne? But it looks like Tony has a thing for Ziva, don't you guys think so? The way Gibbs treats Ziva is more like he does to Abby, you know, as a daughter or family. This idea of Gibbs and Ziva as a couple seems a little bit akward to me....

Gibbs told Ziva he trusts her. I havent heard him say that to very many people. He worried more about Ziva while they were separated (I think)because she was the one put in the most mortal danger of them all. And he worried about them all. Ziva saved his life when she killed her brother Ari. They really care for each other, but it is a father daughter relationship. Even Ari said Gibbs reminded him of his father. It is probably the same with Ziva. Trust protection and a love for each other, yes, as father daughter. Love trust dateing sex no not in there lifetime,way too wrong.

I guess it's a matter of a perception. To me the only woman on the show Gibbs ever treated like a daughter was Maddie in Requiem. I'm not Gibbs/Abby shipper and the relationship he has with her is way different than the one he has with Ziva. It's a bit simplicistic to label the relationship between Ziva and Gibbs as "father and daughter" IMHO . Wrong? What is wrong? Is there any blood relation between them? Has Gibbs ever said, "Ziva you're like a daughter to me?"Has Ziva ever said, "Gibbs, you're like a father to me?"Nope...The only way they have addressed to each other is like " friends " (Shalom)When the serial killer in Recoil asked Ziva who Gibbs was she didn't say, "A relative" , she said the first thing that came to her mind, which was, " an ex boyfriend "Ari said lots of things...but Ari was, to put it mildly, crazy. And besides we have seen now Ziva's father...in which way is he similar to Gibbs?Anyway, as I said it's a matter of perception...to me the idea of Tony and Ziva together, for example, is wrong on so many levels.

I think Gibbs is too old for Ziva... and he just lost Jenny... Gibbs and the Army lady were doing pretty well together... both tough asses and worked for two seperate entities. That's the kind of woman for him... a little older, tough & strong. Gibbs & Ziva work to closely together... besides Tony & Ziva have chemistry!!!

To Nina1976. Ziva and her fathers relationdhip is very volatile. In Silver Wars she called him a stengali(not a compliment), You could tell when her father held her face that there were issues. Maybe it is just Ziva but I dont think so. Ari was crazy but he did believe his father had his mother killed. Like I said before Ziva trusts Gibbs she doesnt her own father. He wanted her back to protect her. To her father she is the sharp end of a spear he said it him self(a warrior) with many talents. Her father will use that to win Isreals wars not a protecter. When Jen and Gibbs were argueing in one of the episodes Abby said the children dont like it when mommie and daddy fight. That should let you know a little. I still think Gibbs and Zivas relationship is father and daughter. Not blood relatives same with Gibbs and Abby father daughter. To put them together romanticaly would not be believeble.

In generaly,to deny a relationship because of the age is unfair-if there is a chemistry,the age is out of the question.Slaveathome and Nikkiroxon,since you talk about a lack of sexual tension between them, interesting thing for me is that IF there is not a chemistry, HOW Ziva knows Gibbs' six-pack is better than Tony's?! For the record-I know that could not be mean "chemestry",but to know that,Ziva has to look at Gibbs's six-pack-it's very interesting fact.
