I recently got satellite and have been watching NCIS like 2-4 times a night! Crazy, I know, but it is so good. I didn't understand some things, so I went online and started watching from the beginning. I like the fact that the humor helps relieve the drama (I am also a fan of BONES, which I think has the same quality). I didn't really know what to think of the end of season two, but I got through it, because Ziva instantly grew on me. I love Mark Harmon (yummy - lol), and the Tony/Kate & Tony/Ziva banter is so much fun. I like the character of Jenny Shepherd and how there is a history between her and Gibbs ( I think they should have gotten back together - another sad ending to a season). Anyway, I love the show!I did have a question that has been bugging me since I saw season one, episode one: Do we ever find out who the mysterious red-head is that continuously picks up/drops off Gibbs? I love the whole idea of it, it keeps us wondering! And seriously, why did 'they' constantly have Lauren Holly changing her hair styles? I loved it long/shoulder-length, but the short-do didn't work for her. I understand 'they' like to mix things up and most women change their hair - Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) from Law & Order: SVU gets a new do quite often too.Well, I hope to hang around here - I am usually on TV.com but decided to try a new board.

Welcome to the "fan club"! It's really not crazy to watch so much NCIS. When I was recuperating from a recent surgery, I watched my DVD's almost non-stop (even in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep). You have a LONG way to go to get to crazy! The mystery redhead was never identified, and she seems to have gone away. (I think she may have been originally put in so that fans would think Gibbs had a girlfriend and wouldn't get too caught up in the notion that Gibbs and Kate should become a couple). Some have also surmised that she was a distant family member since Gibbs always gave her a "kissing cousins" peck-on-the-cheek kiss.I liked Jenny better with the long hair, too. Did you catch the first episode when it was cut short? She kept playing with it in front of Gibbs, but he wouldn't acknowledge the change! He notices everything, so it was kind of funny. It was like he didn't want to say what he really thought, so he pretended not to see it.

I haven't seen the first ep when she cuts her hair. I will DEF. have to check it out! LOL. I am already classified as crazy - this is not the first show that I have become obsessed with. First there was Remington Steele (1980s - and I bough the whole show - five seasons and watched them all within a few days), then there was CSI, and SVU, and Bones. It's fun being crazy. Even though i liked Kate, I don't think I ever wanted her with Gibbs, mostly because I had seen later eps and knew that I liked Jen better.

Welcome to the "dark side" as some of us call it. We are not too happy with this message board CBS just kinda tossed it at us and said go to it. For the most part the people on here are a little left of center but seem harmless enought . We just like to post our thoughts and sometimes fansaty about the crew of NCIS.If you have not read some of the other threads do so it will help you to get caught up. And maybe you will see something you missed when you watched the show. I know I have and it has made me appreaciate the show even more. Most of all HAVE FUN !!!!

Remington Steele.. ....... mmmmmm there's one I haven't heard of in a long time. I loved that one, too! Brosnan was soooo (still is) killer handsome, and wasn't Doris Roberts hillarious always running around in that little white Rabbit convertible??

Hello & welcome to NCIS! The mysterious redhead is one of the many inside jokes as she is actually thereal-life wife of the series creator, Donald Bellasario, & also the mother of Sean Murray. McGee admitsin an episode that he doesn't have a 4.0 GPA because he flunked a fencing class. His mother was thejunior fencing champion of Australia as I recall. Mark Harmon's grandfather was once the Secretary ofthe Navy; there are many references to the Ted Bundy case; Michael Weatherly's family made a fortunein the Swiss Army knife business; Man from U.N.C.L.E. references crop up from time to time. These littleoff-hand remarks make watching the show even more enjoyable.

Hi Agent Mouse!! Cute icon you got there. You're right about the references making the show more enjoyable. There are lots aren't there?

Hi--one of my favorites is when the redhead pulls up to pick up Gibbs and McGee asks who she is and Ithink it's Tony who replies "not a clue." That went right over my head as I didn't realize that she isactually Sean's Mother. Also love the way that DP gave his daughter & son recurring roles on the show too.Even Chas. Floyd's wife has a walk-on cameo in "Yankee White." Tony's father disinherits him just as MW'sfather does him. Tony jokes about his chances of hooking up with Jessica Alba. Abby's fake website ismydarkangel.com. I don't always get the references the first time around unless they are as blatant asthe Ted Bundy/U.N.C.L.E. stuff but it's sure fun to look for them!

I didn't know any of that - how cool. That's what I love about this show! So, I have been sitting in the library for the past 6 hours working on a paper and watching NCIS. My fingers are cold - lol and laughing keeps me warm.BTW - I am known as CC (ClassicCouples) but that name was too long so I went with TV_Couples.

In a few episodes, Don Bellisario appears as an extra. Almost like Alfred Hitchcock did in his movies.
