This is my first time watching The Amazing Race all the way through. I caught an episode here and there in the past and I knew I would like it and now I am totally hooked and haven't missed an episode. While I love the show I have to say that now that the geeks Mark and Bill are gone I don't have anyone to root for. Every other team is just so aggravating and annoying. I guess Dallas and his mom seem like good people but outside of that I just want the rest to lose! I realize that something like this would really be stressful and I'm sure that they focus on the most dramatic parts (which are often when people are freaking out) but seriously, everybody that's left is just a ridiculous snapshot of the worst America has to offer. Terence & Sarah--He has to be the biggest douchebag I have ever seen. At first I couldn't understand why she was with him until her annoying side has come shining through.Frat boys--Lame and patheticAja and Ty--sometimes they don't seem so bad and then it goes really bad.Nick and Starr--Did somebody say spoiled rotten? And something just not right is going on between them.Kelly and Christy--I can see why they were dumped--vapid, delusional, paranoid, and the epitome of pampered materialists. I'd bet they're exes were VP's of Lehman brothers.Marisa & Brook--Pretty much a ditto of Kelly and Christy except with a slightly lower IQ which means they come across sweet instead of paranoid.and finally Ken and Tina--many posts on these two, no need to beat a dead beeyotch horse, and Ken is the stereotypical jock narcissist.Do they always pick suck shallow, annoying people for contestants in the past or is this just an off year. They are the reason why America has such a lousy name around the world--and CBS is sending these a-holes out to back up that fact.

I have to agree with you on most of your assessments, except for Ken and Sarah. I don't think Ken is that bad, but he does seem to be overdoing it a bit in kissing up to Tina. And I am really liking Sarah now after having my doubts about her in the first 2 episodes.Aja and Ty--Still no real "feel" for them. I don't think they'll last long, although I hope they do because you're right, unless Toni/Dallas make it to the final 3, I don't know who else I'd want to win.And for me, Season 10 had a pretty weak cast, althoug I did love the Beauty Queens. The rest of the teams that I thought I would like from that season all met an early demise, kind of what has happened this season.Last season was a great one, in terms of casting.

Welcome to the Amazing Race. I have been a fan since the very first race and I guess I am acclimated to the many personalities that show up during this race. I have to admit though that the producers have never put so many annoying people together before. Everyone has their own unique personality and sometimes these people can get on your last nerve. But its a race...and if you had seen last years you would know that sometimes this race does bring the contestants together. (Father and daughter won).

why does everyone seem to hate Andrew and Dan? and everyone always reffers to them as the frat boys, they are awesome! I'd love so see them win.

We seem to get the same types on this show each season. I am not all that impressed with any of them so far. I am finding most of them fairly whiney.

I find Kelly and Kristy to be soooo annoying and bitchy... no wonder... their husbands dumped them!

They call them "the Frat Boys" because that is how the producers label them under their name during the show--at least they did in the first few episodes, don't know if they are anymore. What exactly is so "awesome" about them? The red head (Andrew?) doesn't have a backbone and the other one is confused and annoying (Sorry to keep using that word but there isn't a better one for most of these people--at least not a word that I can use in polite company).Glad to hear that this is probably just a weak cast, gives me hope to watch future amazing races but I'll still continue to watch. I guess I'll have to root for Dallas/Toni but I fear that his mom just isn't going to be able to keep up. Then I'll watch just for the hope of a catfight between Starr and the divorcees. "Ca-Ca-Ca-CATFIGHT!!" ~Kramer from Seinfeld.

Yes I know the producers referr to them as "the frat boys" my point is that no one calls them by thier right names they just say "the frat boys". And they are aweosme cuz I think they are awesome...they are funny, they make me laugh. And I just like them. I do admit that Dan does get a little annoying. And yes Andrew does have a backbone...if Dan would let Andrew get a word in edgewise you would see his capabilities. And plus they never show any of the exciting things with them on the show...but if you watch the videos that got cut out you would see. For example when they got the flat tire. Dan would have never been able to fix it if Andrew wasnt there to fix it. Maybe I should rephrase it and say its Andrew I think is awesome. And plus I think Andrew is a cutie.

There have been some outstanding people in the past seasons. "The Hippies" come first to my mind and Joyce and Ushenna (sp). I don't appreciate the cattiness we are seeing. It seems many shows on TV and even the US news media are catering to that and sensationalism. I want to see where they travel to and the different cultural challenges they face. I don't want to see the conflicts they have at the airports. For Crying Out Loud!

I think the point is to keep us watching, so the more annoying, the better in terms of the producers minds perhaps. We keep watching, we keep complaining, so their casting must be working. The truly annoying people season was the family edition. That mother and her 3 kids should have received a consolation prize for being the most whiny, annoying, lying bunch in the race ever.

Actually, last year's race, TAR-12 was one by a dating couple. The finish line was in Girdwood, Alaska and the finish of the top three teams was:1. TK and Rachel (dating couple in their 20s)2. Ronald and Christina (Father and Daughter)3. Nicholas and Don (grandson and grandfather)It was about the only race that I didn't care who won. All three teams had raced good races.

Yeah they are. That Tina I just want to yell "shut up woman." Also Dan, I just want to yell "grow up, ya big baby." The only one I really like is the mom and son. And then he didn't know where Cambodia was? You go on the Amazing Race and you don't know your Geography pretty well?

In response to "Are the teams always this annoying?", the answer is yes. If you are new to the show and you think this season has too many annoying, bickering couples, then check out Seasons 5 and 6. Terence and Tina are very annoying but I think Jonathan, Colin and others from those seasons were far worse.
