If I were to guess I would say it is something along the lines of the the content of the show. Observation of details despite what they want you to look at. Now, I am curious to see what the next few titles will be , but what if you removed the REDS in each of them to see if there is a message there, maybe a clue for something happening in the future. So far I read 'Hair and Silver tape Tide (or tied) women in (the) woods." But then again, maybe the movie homage reference is right? *shrugs*

Interesting conclusion Jaden. I don't think you are correct, but hey, you definitely get points for good thinking! I never noticed that, and it almost makes sense.

And the November 11th Episode is Red-Handed... how does this add to the mix? Hmm - --- Jack, --- Hair & Silver Tape, --- Tide, Ladies in ---, ---wood, and --- Handed... I'm not seeing anything here even if there is something to see... Interesting premise though to be sure... I can't wait to see the titles of the remaining episodes for this season will be! There is an entry for Deep Red in Wikipedia... I just can't figure out how to include the link here. Info reads:"Profondo Rosso (also known as Deep Red or The Hatchet Murders) is a 1975 giallo thriller film directed by Dario Argento and starring David Hemmings. Profondo Rosso follows music teacher Marcus Daly (Hemmings) as he investigates the violent murder of psychic medium Helga Ulmann (Macha Meril), which he witnesses in an apartment building." Not a movie I will be looking for any time soon... although I am looking forward to lots more Mentalist!

I think it has to do with the fact that Red Jhon haunts Jane in the back of his mind. Or maybie it's because the victim are almost always covered in blood.

My belief is simple...red is the color of blood, and blood is associated with murder of course.

There is a purpose, what it is hopefully will unfold. I like the idea though that it has something to do with Red John. The other side is that the writer's are getting a kick out of watchin us trying to figure this out.

I just think that the color "RED" is associated with "DEATH" or unfortunate circumstance. The Chinese consider this color asgood luck and since the show is a fairly new one, they mayhave thought of it in this light. I also think that this wouldalso serve to further the interest of viewers and thereforecreate a larger audience share in relation to ratings.

my thoughts:red- blood, death, angeralso, i see from this that red john is going to be a recurring theme, at least this season. i'm hoping for a showdown in the season finale, personally. the thing is, i think that red john is eating at patrick. he feels so horribly guilty that he can't recover at all, and that's why he exudes such a sad aura. i'm reading this like i would real life, though, so i may be reading too much into the actor.

red is the color of death case in point the movie "sixth sense" every so ofen they showed red things like the door knob to the celler it had a red door knob that bruce willis had trouble opening.., the director slid such things in to let people know he was dead long before it was obvious in the movie

OK, THE REASON IS BECAUSE, LONG TIME AGO HE SAYS THA HE READ THE LIES BETWEN THE FIRE THAT THE EVIL LEAVE. AND THE FIRE IS COLOR RED. IS AT THE VERI BEGINIG. REMEMBER THAT THE LIES ARE RED BECAUSE THE LIES ARE EVIL AND THE EVIL IS RED. THOUSE THAT MAKE SENCE?
