CSI: NY

I get disappointed sometimes when I watch the show and I see the streets and alleys of downtown LA. It's supposed to be CSI:NY right? Is there a Dash bus in Manhattan? Not! I guess I can't be fooled because I lived in New York and temporarily I'm living here in Downtown LA. I like to see more of New York in CSI:NY though it must be pretty expensive filming there. I'm still a fan. It's just that when you say NY, it should be NY - same goes for the other shows.

I don't even know what a Dash bus is let alone if they're in NYC. I also know they do most of their filming in LA but I wouldn't know if they were in NYC or LA unless they specified. I guess that's the advantage of not ever living or seeing NY and LA (well, I've been to LA before but just LAX and then on to Hollywood). I read that Eddie Cahill would like to film in NYC instead of LA. Personally, it doesn't matter to me where they film but like you, I would get disappointed if I knew for a fact something wasn't actually NYC.

Well, I live in Minnesota and have only been to New York City once (for about two days), but even I can tell that a lot of the scenes are shot in or around Downtown Los Angeles. I know this because not only do I love New York City, but I also know a thing or two about the Los Angeles skyline.But, oh well. I'm not going to let one little anomaly stop me from watching this show.

Born and raised in NYC and I see the difference when filming in LA and NYC. Like the trains: the 1, 2, 3 IRT trains are shown in yellow but in NYC it is red. There are other discrepencies, but yes I would like to see them film in NYC.

Well, they have filmed in New York City a couple of times. For example, in the episode Past Imperfect, you can see Danny and Sheldon walking through a Coney Island amusement park (Astroland, to be precise) after interviewing a couple of side-show freaks. After spending about 10 minutes on Google Earth, I discovered that they did film that scene in Coney Island instead of opting for the usual Hollywood trickery.If you don't believe me, see for yourself:40°34'29.10"N 73°58'45.17"WAnd before you ask, no, I don't have a life.

I do know that they film some scenes in NYC, but minute forgetful details are a giveaway. I can tell since I live in NYC and know the landmarks and the streets. The show is excellent! I do wish they film here. There is Silver Cup Studios in NYC and the whole city to form its true backdrop of solving crime. The writers do an excellent job of inventing realistic drama.

i totally agree! its called CSI: NY for a reason and i believe that we are all being well trying to be decieved! but true, a little lie dosnt hurt anyone but this is a big lie really. i am going to move to NY in about 1 and a half years so i was really dissapointed when i read this.... stupid thing.. as i said its ment to be called CSI: NY not CSI: downtown LA for jesus on a bikes sake!!!! x x Em

if anyone believes this is filmed in ny your kidding yourself. even danny's mannerisms are fake ny. the way he talks walks and acts is beyond COMICAL, it's PAINFUL.

I know a few people from the Bronx and Brooklyn, and they can clearly say that CSI NY should be in New York and not LA. I can understand costs and such, but it really should be in NY.
