They need to get out Matty to make the teams even if Suzie's with the others now. In order to do that, they will have to lose to get Matty out. That's the only way they can get their power back.

Or Sugar. The only sort of alliance she has is Ken. Mattie might go with Randy.

yea because losing challenges seems to be the best way to win in the game. How utterly boring next thing you know people will fall over themselfs to lose as fast as possible.

Seems to be the case since Ken and Crystal have done nothing but lose for the most part and now they are probably the most powerful people in the game because of all the twists.

It really seems so, from what i see in the previews for the next ep.Randy screaming at Matty to drop the ball, and Matty shushing Randy. It sure looks like Randy, Corrine and Charlie will want to throw the challenge again next week.but i sure hope the producers noticed that in this episode, and planned the next Immunity Challenge to prevent such game play.

I thought the producers did not change there plan mid-season HAIts frustrating me to no end that they seem intend on letting the biggest losers in the game get far with dumb twists and give the most annoying, lazy people a clear advantage

HAHAHA of course they do! Makes for great TV story telling!! For e.g. the Cook Islands season, alot of the challenges involves swimming, and everybody knows Ozzy is King Poseidon! Did you point your fingers then? No? hahaha I like Ozzy too but I can't help but noticed the challenges (especially after Jonathan Penner and Candice jumped over to the other tribe) are mainly water-based. Sure, some of the challenges were planned before hand but i can't help but notice the producers always try to add in some twists. It prevents the players from trying to outplay the game and also gives the viewers something new all the time. This is what makes survivor interesting - all the unexpected twists and surprises! With that said, the basic rules are the same. The social aspect of the game has tremendous part and you cannot fault the producers when the players don't play a good social game (e.g. Marcus and Onions treating Susie badly and expecting her to vote their way). However there's a problem if the producers know that (both) the tribes are trying to throw the challenges, it not only shows bad sportsmanship, it destroys the show and they have to worry about this!

Absolutely, or my Bob will be gone. I really hope that Crystal and Suze do not go far. Crystal is so mean and Suze is just a coattail player.

If they wanted to avoid this, they shouldn't have done a late game swap like this. An alliance was bound to outnumber the opposing alliance and want to eliminate as many as possible before the real merge hit like 1-2 episodes later. Whereas an earlier merge like the first one, throwing challenges is a bad idea because who knows when you'll actually merge and what the situation will be then.

But then was is fair about it that would mean that if you are playing a good game producers will change the rules so that you are at a disadvantage. If there are no rules then there is no social, strategic game anymore and then they may aswel give the top price to whoever they like. Maybe i think that way because i play semi pro tennis and in sport there is only one rule the strong win the weak lose there is no middle road

I also remember a season where most physically strong players were voted off early. Suddenly all challenges were mere puzzles than physical. So, yes, challenges are probably changed to fit the production teams favorites.

I think there is a good chance that BOTH tribes want to throw the challengeKota to get rid of Onion-Bob and to save Sugar and MattieFang to get rid of Mattie and save Bob.It will be rather exciting to see who manages to "win the battle for TC"

There are some basic rules, such as immunity idols protect the person holding it and every episode somebody will be voted out.The other twists add surprises into the game, not only for the viewers but it also serves to prevent the players from trying to "out-smart" the game too much. Because if the game is too predictable, the show gets repetitive and is similar to the previous season. Why would anyone watch the same thing over and over again?Survivor is never a purely physical game, unlike sports, and it is way more complex because of that. I enjoy the show because I like the strategies more than anything else. The challenges are fun and exciting too of course. In this episode, you can't fault the producers for "unfair" game.- The re-shuffle was purely random. - Old-Kota had the numbers for both new tribes, so Marcus had an advantage at the beginning. - Marcus didn't form a good relationship with Susie back at old Kota, and he didn't manage to persuade Susie to vote with him.- Marcus lost at the Immunity Challenge. If Marcus managed to change any of the above, he wouldn't have been voted out.On the other hand, say they do merge at 10 as they usually do, and Susie didn't flip, you'll have Kota 6 vs Fang 4 and for the next 4 episodes you'll probably see Fang being picked off one by one which is really quite boring IMO. In some seasons, players even quit immunity challenges for food because they are so confident of their alliance that they can afford to let the minority win. Is this fair? I don't know, but that's definitely boring and predictable. Glad they did some changes this time.
