More Sara Rue on 'The Big Bang Theory' Fans of Sara Rue have not seen the last of her latest character Dr. Stephanie Barnett on The Big Bang Theory. The 29-year-old actress, who is perhaps best known for her role as Claudia Casey on the sitcom Less than Perfect, made her return to primetime TV last night as she made her debut on the sitcom created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady for CBS. But according to TV Guide, the well-regarded comedian will be lingering The Big Bang Theory for quite some time as she has been tapped for a multi-episode run as Leonard's brand new girlfriend. "The Lizard-Spock Expansion," the most recent episode of The Big Bang Theory, saw a smittenWolowitz, who thinks he's found his soul mate until the woman, Dr. Stephanie Barnett (Sara Rue) meets Leonard. More comedy are in store for Sara Rue on The Big Bang Theory so fans will just have to stay tuned every Monday at 8pm ET/PT to find out.Prior to The Big Bang Theory, Sara Rue played the recurring character Naomi on CBS' Two and a Half Men. She also appeared as Amanda McCafferty on several installments of the action drama The Division. Furthermore, she made her mark on television with roles on the teen drama Popularas Carnen Ferrara and as Joyce, the compulsive overeating sister of Grace Adler (Debra Messing), on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace.Apart from the small screen, Rue has also acquired work on the big screen as she has been cast in Not Since You, an upcoming drama film about a tight-knit group of college friends who graduated from NYU the year of 9/11. In this movie, Rue co-stars with Desmond Harrington, Kathleen Robertson, Christian Kane and Will Estes of American Dreams fame.Additionally, Rue is also working on For Christ's Sake, a comedy flick written by The Guild's Jeff Lewis. Slated to air in 2009, the movie also stars Alex Borstein, Will Sasso, Kyle Bornheimer, and Armin Shimerman, among others.Last but not the least, Rue can also be seen in Spaced, an American version of the British show of the same name that features a pair of strangers posing as a married couple in order to rent an apartment.

I kinda like the idea behind Sara Rue on the show. It gives the audience to see what Penny is to think now about her relationship with Leonard. It's a little uneasy to take in the fact that the Sara Rue character was taken away from Howard when Howard is very loyal to Leonard in their friendship.Howard as the person he is was respectful enough to bring the idea about Leonard being available after his relationship with Penny went where it did for the moment to Leslie. And of course shortly afterwards Leslie followed on Howard's text. Also Howard was respectful by saying to Leonard when Sheldon's sister was in town that you have Penny and Leonard made his comments that he doesn't really have Penny, Howard asked directly if he could have Penny and Leonard in return said "Hell No!" and backed off right away.In additon Leonard even mentioned to Sheldon friends don't take dates away from their frends. About the date that Raj was having with Lolita.Even though what happened happend between the Sara Rue character and Leonard I think it was just in bad taste to follow on this relationship without being respectful to Howard about what was happening. Leonard did make up for it by trying to hook up Howard with Sara Rue character's roomate but I think that was just to throw him a curve ball off of him and her.

When did Howard back away from Penny? Every episode is another attempt at her.I only like the Sara Rue introduction if we do, in fact, get to see some jealousy or adverse reaction from Penny.

Don't really like her - she's not interesting or believable as someone that Leonard would be attracted to. Leslie Winkle is more believable, as is Penny. I don't see any sparks between her and Leonard either. The whole episode, I kept asking myself, "what would he see in that????"Sara was much better as Berta's loose daughter on 2 1/2 men - intentionally or not, she comes across as a dim bulb with no ambition and no interests. Casting her as a doctor is a real stretch.

I would really love to see more of Dr. Stephanie. I think she's great. Leonard having a new love interest is very enjoyable to watch. I'd love it if she'd stay longer. But NOT so long. I want to be patient with the whole Leonard and Penny thing. I wonder how and when it will all tie in. Not just yet...I love this show :]

i was sad to see the writers cut penny and leonards relationship right from the start of season two.. a^reaciated how penny seemed uncompfortable with leonard "hooking up" with other women although I found she hasn't had real reaction to to stephanie.. i would like to see her start to realize she likes leonard more and more.. especialy considering sheldon in episode 9 is clearly trying to have it happen.. opening up this part of the discussion... penny's reaction to the facebook status issue at the end of the 9th episode.. at first she seems cursious at the fact the he "switched his status after only two weeks" categorising it as "bold" .. but they finished the epidose without giving her anytype of reaction, sheldon having the last laugh... in episode 10.. should they hint at it with her going towards happy or unhappy? i say unhappy.. give us a little hope she will come back to him.. which is what i hope although please please.. dont start the second date at the end of season two and start it up again on season three.. mozougly

I just realised i made a gross error.. sheldon's attempt to see what went wrong between leonard and penny was to know what leonard musn't do again.. hence the line repeated by sheldon.. leonard must stay with stephanie !!!

I like the Dr. Stephanie character. She's a great middle ground between Penny and Leslie Winkle--both great actresses in their roles. We all know that the Penny and Leonard characters still care for each other on some level. I enjoy seeing their reactions to the people each other are dating. Also, I keep waiting for Sheldon to really hook up with someone. It may take some sort mind-altering situation (like Star Trek's "Shore Leave" episode where Spock gets hit by the spores?/pollen? of some flower that enables him to get in touch with his human/feeling side). Loved the "teaser" episode where the female grad students had a crush on Sheldon. I hope they have an episode where Sheldon finally meets his match and loses control and flips head over heels for someone. What kind of woman could get Sheldon to let go and be a regular human being? It that even a possibility?

I don't like Stephanie as a character. The relationship between her and Leonard seems awkward and unnatural. I'm not necessarily an advocate of the Leonard-Penny thing, I'm just not a fan of Stephanie's character.

It's great to see Sara Rue again I loved "Less Than Perfect" Why that show was cancelled & so many other crappy "Reality Shows" continue to exist is beyond comprehension (Although I do watch Survivor, but I would give it up in a heartbeat to have Less Than Perfect back) I wish I would have saved it on tape.I thought it would come out on Dvd like everything else I did have a few episodes taped but I would love it if they put the whole series on Dvd in the U.S.I hope they keep Sara Rue on the show permanently. She is so funny. It's good to see her getting so much work.
