The UNIT is my favorite show on TV and there are a lot of CBS shows I watch. The last episode where the women of the unit were discussing married life and the acting was like sitting around with a bunch of Marine wives. Those of you who do not know the milityar spouse life should watch this again. and again. and again.

We at home can sit and discuss the Unit because we are at home. There are thousands of military wives across the country that could relate to every word. You don't hear from them, you don't know where they are or for sure when they will be home. You rely on the others in your group to help you out when there is a problem. Like the (hopefully) new gal on the block considering marriage to the military she got the raw truth.

This show however not the real deal is very similar and I love it. The Col. this week was a real jerk and played it so well!!!! Please stop making negatives about this show leaving. I know hundreds who watch it and we gab on the phone about it too.

Actually I'm an ex military housewife myself and I think these woman really do portray the wives. The ones that are doing what they're supposed to be doing anyway. Supporting and loving the guys that have a really hard job. Some of the younger ones, yeah there's problems just like any marriage. Anyways these women are strong and make me miss being a military housewife...of course I'd pick another husband this time

That's another good point. People who have not lived the military life, base housing, deployments etc, cannot understand that this is reality for thousands of Marines, Navy, Army, Coast Guard etc. The women of the unit do remind the military families of what was, what is and what will be in the families of military members.

I'm a military wife and I agree that the wives (most of them) do an excellent job portraying life in the military (minus this season). I use to laugh when they would be dealing with some type of red tape with getting their household goods, or a problem with their husbands pay because I have dealt with that kind of stuff for 20 years in military. Some of it is so true.

On another note, we should be seeing more of Joss tonight. Not sure how I'm going to like her, but it is too early to judge. Got to see how it all plays out.

I'm a military girl friend and I agree that's how they act ... except that it's not just military wives, it's females in general when they get around each other.Guys certainly can't get any enjoyment discussing how the cable company ticked us off ....(lol) My only issue with this show is that some times the women are portrayed as fuddy-duddies. The first season Tiffy and Molly worked, Kim was a mom, a student and worked a full time job. This season, Tiffy works, I don't know what Molly does and Kim has turned into a secret agent ... and tonight's episode all they did was stare at modern bride and try to plan Joss' wedding?? (yuck!) Not very exciting. I was more into Red Cap's story line and I don't even like her that much.

I watch this show all the time and love the women. We all have our crosses to bare. I am tired of reading how these women don't live up to others expections. They are people not object who should just do as they are told. They all have thier husbands backs. I would love to see a man who is supporting a woman who is a member of the unit and see how the writers will play that out. That in itself would be a real challenge.

Actually, I really liked the scene with the women working on Joss' wedding. I never knew that when they get married they have the 6 soldiers with swords and that the one hits the new bride on the behind and says "Welcome To The Army".

What an interesting tradition.

I really agree with this quote. I mean , who says that anybody is "supposed" to act any kinda way? I can't stand Charlotte and maybe if Ryan (Ryan's writer) would stop thinking he should be with a woman like blah blah blah, he would finally find a woman to be his match. A real woman, not some ole fakey skank. I will not let any man, woman or child make me be what they want...I am who I am...and I'm a LADY that cuss', d a m n it! Well, not often, just online... mostly.

It's great to hear from the military wives and the former military wives! I've never been in the mliitary and never been a military wife. But I can sure appreciate and thank you for YOUR sacrafices. I know you've had some.

An AF wife told me that you praise in public and complain in private. I think the wives on this show were doing that in earlier seasons whenEric Haney was involved.

Keep watching! Scroll down to the bottom of this window and click on User Feedback and tellCBS that you are a mlitary wife and that you want the show renewed. (If you want it renewed.) They NEEDto hear from you!

I understand that the writers of The Unit want to show a complete story (i.e. the men having families and the on going problems military families face) but it's ho hum. Boring!! As a woman I would love to see all of the Unit wives being portrayed as always strong, tough, loyal and faithful but we all this isn't so in the real world. I would still like to see less of the home life and more of the away life. The women all come across as being needy and insecure, especially Tiffy. She makes my blood boil, I don't understand how an intelligent man like Mac wouldn't want to let her go at the first offering, but here he is buying a house with her and thinking it's okay. Even the female unit member is coming across as a victim and a sex pot. She doesn't go on missions unless it involves her being shown in a sexual way, like as a piece of arm candy on the arm of a Unit member. Then when she gets attacked by Whiplash, she can't defend herself. Where did all of the Army training go? She wasn't even shown as having a chance to fend him off. Kim also irrates me because she whines all the time and can be overly self righteous. Molly is two timing people constantly now. She's doing undercover missions for Col. Ryan now and having to betray people she seems to care about. All of the women of the Unit are irrating, maybe they're supposed to be. I don't know. But I will continue to watch and hope that the writers will flesh out the women better. We don't need to see them every episode, not even every other episode but sometime during the course of the 22 episodes.

Come on now, we've established that they are an integral component of the show and pretty realistic. I would add that they are great actresses and Ienjoy every minute of their stories. And get off of Red Cap. He tried to RAPE her and you're criticizing HER? Ugh. Poochie will be much more interested as a rogue on the run.

it is cool to see "history and tradition" portrayed on TV even if it is just a tv show and we know that's not all reality.
