Ghost Whisperer

As far back as I can remember I have always had strange unexplainable things happen to me. I smell things that no one else smells. I've heard singing; I've had doors slam behind me and some in my face when no one else was in the house. I've seen faces appear in front of me, scream and disappear. I’ve looked in the mirror and seen something behind me but when I turn it's gone. I've seen shadows move through my home, I always feel like I am being watched or in the company of 'someone'. When I walk through my house at night I get this 'feeling' that at any second I will turn around and 'someone' will be there. When I am approaching the door of a house I can 'feel' if there is anyone home before I knock. I have seen shadows standing around me I have heard voices call my name or say random things. I have had things go missing with no explanation. I've seen things fly off tables or break spontaneously, the electronics turn on and off with no one controlling them. Some nights when I close my eyes to sleep it sounds like I am in a crowded room with lots of people trying to talk over each other. I've also seen lights through my eyelids but when I open my eyes the room is dark. I've felt like I was being held down in my sleep or I was awake but could not move (Although that can be explained by sleep paralysis). I have a strange connection with cats, no matter what their temperament is they seem to flock to me and follow me around. When I am out walking, all the cats that I come across follow me. I’ve had four or five following me all at once on more than one occasion. I have a friend whose aunt and uncle were murdered in their home, and their house was torched, five years before I met him. The way I found out about the murder is because I dreamed about them they told me to tell him something. I approached him about the man and a woman in my dream giving him a message and that's when he told me I was describing his aunt and uncle who were murdered five years before I met him. He took me to his mom's house after I told him about the dream and I then was able to describe the house they lived in, in detail (pre murder and fire). One night while I slept I felt someone shaking my foot and saying "Wake up the phone is for you." When I awoke my friend Gavin was standing at the foot of my bed telling me to answer the phone, I went to the phone, but it was not ringing, I checked the caller ID and there were no new calls so I headed back to bed before I made it to my room the phone rang, it was my friend Heather she was in hysteric’s telling me that Gavin had been I a car accident and he was dead. The funny thing is I have never been scared of this stuff, I guess I’m just used to it! And I’ve never had a problem with people not believing me because usually soon after I tell them about the things that happen to me they witness something unexplainable. One night I was telling my cousin about the strange things that go on, and the doors in her house started opening and closing on their own. When I was explaining things to my friend Angie the TV and stereo turned on at full volume by themselves.

I have had a few of these things happen to me from the smells to hearing strange noises

This is pretty typical for some people but only if they are among those know as "Sensitives" which is what I would classify you and the character Jennifer plays on the show as (if what your saying is true) and I do believe it is.

I really get a kick out of watching shows like Ghost Whisperer . The producers, directors and CBS as well as James Von Prague and Jennifer Love Hewitt are sadly destroying their own show. I believe they know they are destroying it now since so many people voice their hatred for killing off the character of Jim as he once was when he was married to Melinda.What they have done is dug themselves into deephole and no matter how hard they try with each show they only make it worse...even after I posted a way out for them. Lol

JamesVon Prague was hired as aconsultant to make sure this type of thing would not happen and allI can say is I know he knew better but they just wanted it their way and now, well sadlyI dont thinkthe show will be around much longer.I only watchthese daysto see how bad it gets. First off ghosts cant reenter another persons body, that's demon possession. And once a person dies their spirit, soul or ghost either moves on into the light (or dark), stay on this earthly plain as a disembodied spirit or ghost or it reenters their ownbody if the body is able to be revived (which is considered being clinically dead and having an out of body experience or near death experience).

Oh how I hate to see CBS and Jennifer destroy theirs show it started out with such promise. Now with these ridiculous story lines it's just sad. If they aren't going to listen to James Von Prague they never should have hired him in the first place because now even he is no longer credible.

Hello Callie,I agree with rdw155,your a sensitives and everyone can do this,but most haven't developed it as well as others.as I was always told follow your heart and remmeber everything happens for a reason.

rdw155 ,I think the show is doing just fine and see no cancle in the future and it's just a show.Can't have reality all the time.One thing you mentioned is about the Ouija Board and it's danger.well I've know lots of places that never had a board and has had activity and demonic enities.spirits and demons can travel this earth it's been proven without the years in lots of books including the holly bible.the board is not the doorway,we are !I've studied the Ouija board for over 25 years and the only thing I ever got out of it was stiff legs and a sore behind.Never got any activity from it what so ever.Spirits and demons can hear us and is around us everyday and if we open our minds, soul and our mouths,inviting them in, they will come.The board is nothing more then an object and there is no scienific proof that it's a doorway to the other side.

I've Had a few experiences of smelling things that no one else can smell or I smell them before everyone else does. On one occasion I was walking down the science corridor at school and I got a strong smell of peppermint that no one else smelt, I thought no more about it until I got home and found out that a family friend had brought home a stick of peppermint rock for me from her holidays. I also remember going to my friends mothers house for the summer and went round the corner to the local shop. On the way back to the house I got the distinct smell of summer berries (I was at this point the full length of a playing field away from the house!) I mentioned to my friend but she never noticed until we got to the house and found that her mum had been polishing with summer berries furniture polish. This has happened a few times maybe my nose is just really sensitive to certain smells or maybe it's something more!

i have also smelt things that no one else can smell.. it really puzzles me. also i was home alone once with my little sister and we were both asleep, but all of sudden the light changed under the door like some one had walked past the door. which is also strange because the bedroo was in the corner so their was no were to go.

we have had lots of strange things happen in our house, like me and mymum heard some one whistle but my brother didnt.

and also something locked me out of my house!!.. i am the last one to leave of a morning and we always use the back door because its easier to get to the main road. and i was the first home on this day and thankfully we have one of the backdoors were the top of seperate from the bottom (hope you no what i mean).. and i opened the top bit but the bottom wouldnt open. so i had to climb over the bottom half of the door and as i looked the lock across the bottom had been pulled across,

iv heard foot steps and things like that.. but thankfully nothing has ever screamed in my face that would scare me to death!

theres alway strange things happening but they dont worry me ....

I have had similar things happen to me. I answer the phone before it rings, know things before they happen, and feel the presence of deceased people. I used to be a prison guard and worked on the site of an old indian burial ground. The inmates told me of a indian that roamed the dorm they were in. The nights Iworked they felt safe, I am a Native American myself and often thought that was the answer. A devil worshipper once tried to hex me and she was very upset because there was an aura. She claimed I was a very powerful White witch and she could not hex me. There are forces out there that we cannot control nor should we try. I use the things I know for good and wish the best for those with the same gifts. To be a sensitive isa great gift.

Some of that has happened to me I had a sleepover with my friends and we were out in a tent and we were talking about ghosts I saw someone enter the tent and screamed my friends seemed confused I asked them "look a woman, look, WHY CANT YOU SEE HER!" I was screeming and shouting my friends probably thought I was having a fit and they started to worry but the woman asked me to give a message to my friend so I did it turned out her gran always said this to her "goodbye, see you soon there will be a place here one day" and pat her side the woman wanted me to tell her that. My friend started to cry.

As the things behind me yes i always see something in the mirror or the corner of my eye I always run down the stairs because if you stand still on them you feel like your bieng pushed I even tested it out on my friends (I had to catch one because she got pushed by thin air) !?

So some people do get it considering this list maybe some of us are 'gifted'?

I have seen spirits/ghosts many times but the one that I have seen the most is of my son who I miss very much as does the rest of my family. We hear him too and it does not scare us as we feel he just doesn't want us to forget him but how could we!

I have had many encounters with John Jr. but the one that comes to mind is one night my husband John Sr. told me he would be coming to bed soon and I laid back down on the bed and I saw a figure in front of the bed and the vision looked like my son John Jr putting his shirt on and I looked and said "John" and the vision diappeared. It looked like my son as he was a bit over weight..

John Sr took pictures of our new place in FL and when he printed them out one of the pictures looked just like John Jr in the back yard We have a wooded lot and further back it looked just like him behind a couple of bushes looking at the house. Other people that knew John Jr. said it looked like him too.

John Jr passed away on June 27, 2002. My mother's birthday was June 27th. Our Aunt Toni who I lived with when I was 17 when I was going to the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago died on June 27th, 2006.

So m an y stories so I truly believe in spirits /ghosts and I always will. I think of my John Jr as a Free Spirit.

I would like to hear from anyone that has had the same experiences as I have or similiar.

Hi Patti,

There are so many of us out here that have had similar experiences. Mymother bought a new house here in Florida. No one had ever lived in it before she moved in. One night while she was in her living room she heard voices coming from the kitchen. She was the only one in the house. Another night while watching TV one of her wall decorations went rolling passed the doorway. Again, she was the only one in the house. She had an alarm system so there was no other explanation of what happened. One day we were talking about a newspaper article she had cut out of the paper. We searched for it for days. One night we went to bed and the next day it appeared out of nowwhere on her stove. These were just a few of the things t hat have happened in her new house. Last year my uncle died after July 4th. He stayed with my mom for a year. We had to put him in Hospice for his last few days. Recently we have smelled cigar smoke and figured out he must be visiting us. He is the only one that smoked cigars at her house. I think he is just trying to tell us good-bye. During his last days he needed to be sedated due to severe pain fron cancer in his bones.

I live alone and have never been visited by spirits. My mohter passed away 10 years ago but I don't recall her presence being around. I have a friend who insists he smelled her perfume on occasion, and this was after his mother passed away.

Anyway another friend of mine insists I must have had some visitor and she would get a little flustered when I said no. She felt the presence of her great aunt around her. Her response to mewas that I must close off that part of myself, to not allow them to come in otherwise I would sense them (or one). So, if what she says is true does that make me a soulless person and any "spirits" won't come around because I close the door on themas it were? And, conversely, that would explain my friend smelling the perfume of his mother? Or, is it the imagination playing tricks with them?

I'm not particularily religious so could that have something to do with it as well? Please keep in mind that I don't necessarily beleive in this but I leave it open nevertheless.
