Since I only smoke outside, I keep thinking that I can quit in the winter. But, I continue to bundle up and go outside...even in below zero temps. It's a nasty addiction. I have a lot of respect for people who can kick it.

The mild winters here preclude that kind of thinking. And after 40 years of inhaling the noxious weed, it is extremely hard to even leave the house without a pack.My entire family quit smoking though, so maybe it is in my genes to do so too

Ihave stood out in ice storms to get a few puffs. I don't smoke in my house or car. It was fine when I lived in So Cal cuz it's always sunny and warm there. Since I moved back here it's been hot and humid and cold and wet.

MILD?????? Well for this native Miamian and having lived in LA for over a decade, this is not mild to me! Atlanta's cold.

Well Tom, I grew up out West, in high altitude and dry cold. The 40's and 50's of Atlanta's winter are mild...........to me.

YOWSER! That pic's make me dizzy, even as a thumbnail. lol Looks like maybe our hot and muggy summers blew up your way. Hang tough on the pool... until it becomes an ice skating rink. And yesssssssss, Iplan on watching Survivor and The Amazing Race. Bummed about BB ending, but happy to have two more shows to move onto. Maybe we can discuss those shows here since they are CBS shows (unlike the Mole fiasco last year here. lol)

Hey Peanut,

Tell me about it. I love the summer. We haven't drained our pool yet. We are still having hot and very humid weather. Besides I wait until the bitter end to start draining the pool. If I had my way I have summer all season long.

Enjoy the BB finale, I hope it lives up to its promise. Are you going to watch Survivor Samoa this thursday? They are really advertising alot of hype with that. " Evil has a new name" Sounds like it may just be very interesting. Hugs

Hello there Jackie,,I'm really bummed out to about BB ending tonight. I am ready for Survivor though,,not sure if I'm gonna watch The Race or not. I'm also bummed because True Blood is over!!!! Since Patti is attempting to quit smoking and needs support, I think we should have a contest. It shall be know as The Contest. Since we all know each other here, we'll use the honor system. Everyone picks their bad habit and places it on the list. Whoever goes the longest without folding wins a major award!

1. Patti -quit smoking

2. MisterT - I vow to quit flicking burning matches at hobos as I walk down the street.

3...

3. I will stop my vicious campaign against the squirrels and the pigeons of our major cities (although they are still plotting against us).
