I agree with most of you - it is possible that Warrick's death was made to look so believeable that the avid viewers and his co-workers actually think he passed away after being shot in the head. However, since he had not family left, it would be easy to put him under witness protection so he could get those corrupted law officers out in the open who are and were connected with the "Legas Mobsters." It is possible that once Grissom leaves (which is unfortunate as well) that he might be back to to testify against under - deputy sherriff and anyone who may be involved. They had him bring down one of the judges after a newbee got killed because of his betting habit, so why not this one as well even though this was a little more dramatic.Gary may wanted to get out, especially after his latest (real-life arrest for drug usage) episode but there is a chance he might come back, which would be very nice and hopefully that will bring back Grissom and Sarah as well. I miss his green eyes as well, as someone else has written and his witt, too. If not - maybe they will have a reunion (if CSI continues to be successful with the changes) at one point - well I hope at least if it does ever go off the air - they will have a reunion for their avid fans in that last two or three episode to bring everyone back (including Warrick - from the dead as a surprise to even his co-workers) to end their long lived aired careers. Good luck to all of the avid viewers and the Show to continue its success. BY THE WAY - CBS - If you read this remember that it was this avid fan's idea for this reunion and hope that I get some credit for it - not kidding either. Remember if it it wasn't for the fans this show would have not lasted as long as it has and that includes any other CBS show that has gone as long as this one and even longer. I understand that at times certain shows are cancelled because they can't be fitted into the schedule or you want see if you can get younger viewers attracked to watch a new show - but this station has taken away over the last year or so a few too many shows from the fans that you hook in line and sinker and then either delete them all together such as Moonlight and then Dexter - sell that one to Showtime - which not everyone can afford to buy those specific pay channels.

I agree with MidNite 17 - there were too many open left unanswered questions - I forgot about him finding out that he had a son - that there was a family invovlved, but his immediate family (grandmother that brought him up passed away). So what happens to his son and the mother of his son (wife ? - forgot if it was his wife or a girlfriend after the divorce). So he has to brought back at one point or another to close these loose ends as well.

I would love to see Warrick return. His wife was at the funeral, don't know why TPTB cast the same woman on Criminal Minds as JJ's temp replacement.

First off, yes a person can live through being shot in the neck. In CSI Miami one of the agents was also shot. He was shot in the head and lived and returned to work. It could be possible that he could return to the show. If I remember correct wasn't he shot by one of the detectives that he was about to expose? Maybe that is what is going on here, maybe he is still with us but not until that chapter is closed and the detective is caught.

I would love to see him return. I was unaware of his real life situation. Like I have stated some where on this board, I always expected him and Catherine to hook up at least once. He played a great part, and had a nice body.I miss him, and with Sara gone, Grissom leaving, some thing has to give to keep the series going. William Petersen is fab. Grissom WAS the show, with a fantastic cast, Warrick Brown being one of my favorites. I liked Sara, but never felt she and Grissom seemed matched as a "couple". Lady Heather seemed more like Grissom's type, but who am I to decide who goes best with Gil. lol

cski4k stated my feelings also. I know that there are always other good actors, BUT after 9 seasons you don't lose this many "main" characters, and see the series survive. I guess I will sit back and wait and see. I hope it does, but for me Grissom and Warrick were "da bomb" ('s)

The writers showed us that Gedda plotted to get rid of Warrick, but never showed us any other menace behind Gedda. So we were led to suspect that Warrick would get framed by Gedda's crew for something really big. Now with Gedda murdered, who is the person seeking to frame or kill Warrick and for what reason? If the plot for killing Warrick is centered on hindering an investigation into the death of Gedda, then the only logical step forward would be to continue knocking off CSI investigators one by one, so that the police coverup can continue unchallenged. Better way of ending the series would be a disappearance of Warrick, then the series Without of Trace could have continued the story. Personally the two characters that kept my interest for 8 seasons were Grissom and Warrick and since both of them are gone, well no need for me to tune into CSI anymore. I will buy Season 1 to 8 on DVD and watch the original cast and crew. Love Fishburn all the way, but not enough interest in him to keep me watching CSI. Eads, Dourdan and Peterson brought sex appeal to forensic lab TV's shows. Really not interested in another Quincy type show, which is where CSI is right now. And the humor and joke episodes of Season 8 seemed to mimic the writing of too many other criminal type shows. Thanks but no thank you. Not watching CSI LV anymore.Either create a totally new show or put this one to rest. Don't we already have enough CSI's? Oh well, I guess all good things must come to an end.

Warrick's character in CSI got the best of that brother. I was sad to see the brother shot down dead like some mangy dog in the back alley, dying like a bum in the gutter, with blood flowing from his skinny neck. That brother should of never messed with the BIG BOSS MAN, Undersheriff McKean, who shot that brother deader than a mackerel. I didnt want to see the brother die, but that dude had lots of personal problems like popping pills and drinking cheap whiskey, like his character did on the series. That brother lived life in the fast lane too long and he got busted for being a doper in Palm Springs, so I guess the big wigs at CSI headquarters told that brother is was nothing but a loser and didnt want that brother messing up the profits at CSI so they canned him like charlie the tuna.

If they do bring Warrick back it would probably be a Ghost episode like they did for Miami and Delko was thinking he was seeing Speedle alive but it was his ghost. Warrick could not have survived there was too much blood on the ground and the medics did not get to him in time. He basically bled to death. There was no open casket because Gary Dourdan was not there only his photo. The beginning of the episode was filmed at the end of season 8 and the rest was filmed later and Gary Dourdan was not around at the time to have an open casket and that is why no autopsy either. I just wonder how long after Grissom leaves the show that CSI Las Vegas will last. Dont get me wrong I like Larry Fishburne but CSI without Grissom would be like CSI Miami without Horatio and that would be nothing. I am still going to watch the show because I like CSI and I have been there from the beginning and will be there until the end.
