Omg Mac looks so old and frumpy i think she is the least attractive person on Y&R. And she is so moody.And why cant they get a prettier Eden the last one was ugly this one is ugly and frumpy too especially with that nasly croaky voice.Abby isa beauty at such a young age. Just change Eden and Mac PLEASE!

And also get a new Noah that doesnt look too dorky looking! and there is so many hot teens out there in hollywood!.

I said basically the same thing in one of your other thread but I'll say it here again. Why does everyone have to fit into the same "drop dead gorgeous" slot? Why can't Y&R have some cast members that are only slightly above average rather than the ultra-skinny over made over "jaw droppers" that plague other shows. It is not realistic that every single person be absolutely beautiful, even on a soap opera. Maybe Y&R is trying to be more open to having a vast array of looks on the show other than the tall blonde and gorgeous types.

There is absolutely nothing ugly about Eden or Noah. They are great looking kids. We can't all be as gorgeous as Abby. Just give them some time to grow up a little. On the other hand the new Mac is done growing and she still needs a makeover starting with the hair.

Sorry but i am used to seeing beautiful women on Y&R this is the only time that i noticed it with the late casting Y&R has done. If i wanted to see average looking people i would go to walmart but of the acting industry is that looks get you a job and that is why there is attractive people on TV as shallow as it is.

Eden and Noah are not ugly just not attractive enough for TV!

But you are right having average people is realistic but Y&R always had good looking people that is hard to accept it. You notice it more. Eastenders is a british soap and it has ugly/average people but it is more realistic.

I actually think that Mac's current look is completely intentional on Y&R's part. I think that once she gets back with Billy she will suddenly transform so everyone will be able to see this marked improvement upon Mac. Just my theory, because there is nothingthere that a better haircut, make-up job and wardrobe couldn't fix.

The thing is though, that the TV/MOVIE/acting/modeling industry has been taking major hits these past few years for only hiring extremely beautiful people that the average person can not hope to achieve. I think that some of the people in these industries have finally gotten the message that the media has a very powerful affect on the minds of young people. Magazines and TV shows filled with beautiful people are one of the main reasons there was such a sudden rise of eating disorders among our youth. I think maybe it's time we stop expecting everyone to be beautiful and just accept people for who they are, not how they look.

Yes but the media is not going to go that way ever. In real life we are attracted more to personality and then looks but when we are watching TV people want to watch women and men who are easy on the eyes. If a show was filled with ugly or average looking people, viewers would find the show boring and the ratings would be kind of low!

Yes, but Y&R is not filled with "ugly or average looking people." Most of the cast have stellar looks. They hire 2 people that you classify as "average" and you want them fired and re-cast, no matter how great they are in there parts. I just doesn't seem fair to me. And I'm not saying the industry will go the way of "ugly or average looking people" just people with a more attainable beauty, like Eden and Chloe and many other actress and actors on the show. Not everyone has to measure up to supermodels like Tyra Banks.

One of the main reasons why i watch Y&R and American drama/soaps is because of the eyecandy!. I live in the UK and we have a British soap called Eastenders and i watch more for the storylines because i can relate to them but the people are so ugly all of them are and that is why i sometimes have to change that channel! there is also a fat obese person on eastenders called Heather

I feel bad that you put so much stock in how people look. Looks fade. And what is the big deal that Eastenders has an overweight person? I say more power to the BRITS for keeping things realistic.

Yes in Eastenders all the characters are ugly they dont even hire even one good looking people its like the casting goes out for ugly people only and its such a moody atomsphere that i dont like watching it sometimes. The heather on Y&R is beautiful but the heather on Eastenders is a obese character, and she doesnt really have a storyline just insecurity's about her weight and how she cant find a man.

Why does it bother you so much that there is one show on TV that tries to depict a realistic looking cast? As for Heather on Eastender, I think that her storylines about her insecurites about her weight and her inability to find love would ring true for many women who are in the same situation that she is. I commend Eastenders for reaching out to those women and letting them know that they are not alone. I just don't understand why you think that everyone you see on TV must live up to your standards of beauty.

Can you imagine seeing a soap where people look like this and seeing men and women like this on screen everyday? you wouldnt like it! not a nice sight

Frankly, my dear, I wouldn't give a flying f!ck, as long as the stories and acting were good I don't care if everyone on the screen has the ability to turn me on. If I wanted that I'd watch a porno! LMAO! =)

Well i do watch eastenders but the acting is too intense for me if you watch that video clip its annoying,i like watching Y&R because it has nicer, kinder character, Seeing rudecharacters in Eastenders just boils me up lol!
