Part 2 The cool air felt good against her hot skin. She didn’t know why she felt so hot, it wasn’t warm in the ballroom. Then she remembered the touch of that man’s hands on her arms and she knew why her skin felt so hot. Even with the mask on she could tell the man was gorgeous! She slipped off her shoes to feel the grass under her feet. She playfully kicked at the grass loving the feel of it under her naked feet it made her feel like a kid again, when life was so fun and carefree. She removed her mask and headed towards the water fountain in the middle of the garden. Cane stood at the entrance to the garden and watched Lily trail her fingers through the water in the fountain. He knew she was beautiful and graceful and that he had to meet her, the moment he noticed her with his brother, but looking at her now so uninhibited and innocent, he knew he could spend the rest of his life with this woman without even knowing her name. As he made his way towards her Lily looked up smiling and the words died on her lips. “Oh, I thought you were someone else.” “Billy?” “No, I’m waiting on my father to join me.” “Oh, I hope I’m not disturbing you, but I saw you come out here and I thought I might get a chance to respond to your apology and introduce myself.” Cane reached the fountain where Lily still stood and extended his hand. “Hi, I’m Cane Ashby.” Lily placed her hand in Cane’s and once again they felt that jolt. “Cane? You’re Billy’s brother!” “Yeah, that’s me.” “I saw you dancing with Billy tonight and you seemed like such good friends, so I thought I should introduce myself.” “So, I’m Cane and you are?” “Oh, I’m so sorry, I got so caught up in the fact that you are Billy’s brother that I completely forgot.” “You’re doing it again,” Cane said jokingly. “Sorry, Lily. I’m Lily Winter.” “Nice to meet you Lily Winters daughter of Neil Winters, I presume.” “That is correct.” “How do you know my Dad?” “We deal in the same business circles.” “Oh.” “So Lily, are you and Billy really good friends?” “Yeah, we all kinda grew up together, his niece Colleen is my best friend.” “Well that explains it.” “explains what?” “the familiarity I saw between you two, I thought for a moment that little brother had been keeping you a secret.” “Billy and I were never romantically involved, I’m like his little sister.” “So you’ve lived here all your life, but I’m just meeting you tonight. How is that?” “Well, I moved back to Paris a couple of years ago and I haven’t visited much during that time. My family and friends always came to see me.” “I can imagine, who wouldn’t want to be in Paris with you.” “excuse me?” “I mean I hear its such a beautiful city, who wouldn’t want to be there with a beautiful woman.” “maybe I can visit you there and you can show me all the sites.” Lily blushed and said “thank you for the compliment, but I’m moving back to Genoa City at least for awhile.” “My assignment is up and I really miss this place.” “What did you do there?” “Modeling.” “Wow, I could definitely see that, you have a face that looks like it was carved by angels.” “I think that’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. Not true but very sweet.” “Well either you are very modest or very blind.” Lily smiled and laughed. “So, how long have you been here?” “Well, I left Australia in search of my birth mother, stopped here, found her and never left, that was about 2 years ago.” “Wow, we probably just missed each other.” “Yeah, unlucky me, I could have had an angel bump into me 2 years ago.” “Okay, stop calling me that, I am far from an angel.” “Maybe, but you still have an angel’s face.” “Do you hear it, I love this song!” “Lady in Red? That’s your song?” “Yes! I hope to have someone feel that way about me one day.” “I think I feel that way about you now. May I have this dance?” “Here?” “Yeah, if we walk back we’ll miss half the song, plus out here I have you all to myself.” Cane held out his hand and pulled Lily to him, when he held her in his arms, he knew that he would never be able to let her go, he was glad she wasn’t Billy’s girl because he had every intention of making her his.

Ok I am not in the position to read the new stories but I love that we have new writers coming aboard especially now when everyone is so fustrated with whats on the screens.

WHENI FIRST SAW U I KNEW YOU ARE MINESLily had been gone almost 3 yrs before coming home she was living in paris and she was missing her family very much so she decides to take a min vacation and go home and to suprise her family evey year victor has this big family get to together and eveyone who is eveyone this going to be there lily had called victor and karen that she was coming home and staying a few days.it was neil's brithday and the wanted to give him a brithday bash so victor rent out the ballroom so that he and the winters could their partyand lily was the sepical present noone told him that she coming and evryone who is eveyone was gonig to be there. everyone started arriving at neil's party they were waiting on neil to show up lily's flight had been late so billy was going to pick her up later jill had sent cane on a bussiness trip to ny city and was coming to neil's brithday party because he and neil went in and bought another club and it was more succcesful then indgo had every been but he told karen that he's flight was late getting there but he'll be there. because he wanted to see what's neil's daughter looks like.lily and cane was at the same airport trying to get home cane was looking for he's suitcase that when he saw her a vision of beauty that took his breathe away

It felt so good being in his arms, too good, Lily thought to herself as visions of the past flooded her head. As she started to pull away Cane twirled her around and pulled her back into his embrace. Lily couldn’t help but laugh. Cane leaned over and whispered in her ear, “I love hearing you laugh.” “thank you, that’s sweet.” Billy stood a few feet away watching Lily and Cane dance. Billy hated how happy she looked with him. He wasn’t about to let Cane steal anything else from him and with that thought in mind, he cleared his throat to get their attention and started walking towards them. At the sound of someone approaching, Lily started pulling away from Cane and this time he let her. They both turned to find Billy looking at them with a face full of questions, neither one of them wanted to answer. Billy spoke first, “Lily I thought you promised me the last dance.” As Lily looked past Billy into the ballroom, she saw that it was almost empty. “Sorry Billy, I didn’t realize this was the last song or that it was so late. I have to go, I need to find my dad. See you later Billy and it was nice meeting you Cane.” “Same here Lily.” Lily started walking back towards the ballroom and both brothers couldn’t help but watch her walk away. All the way back to the ballroom, Lily felt a sense of loss like she had left something behind. She hated to admit it, but she knew she was feeling that way because she wasn’t ready for her time alone with Cane to come to an end. He made her feel so alive and beautiful. But before she could explore those feelings further someone popped into her head and stopped her cold. DANIEL. Then it hit her, it was her and Daniel all over again, the instant attraction, the pull to want to be together all the time. It would be so easy to fall for this guy, the truth was she was already falling for him. No, she had to stop this, she could see she was headed down the same dangerous path. “God, I must be a masochist or something. Colleen was always telling her that with men and dating it was always either feast or famine. Well she was choosing famine, she turned to take one last look at the fish she was throwing back, she waved, turned and went in search of her dad. Once Lily was no longer in sight, Billy turned to Cane and asked “So, what’s up?” “What’s up with what?” “Lily, that’s what. How long have you known her?” “Just met her tonight.” “So, you dance in gardens with every girl you just meet?” Cane smiled, “No, just the really pretty ones.” “Well Lily’s more than just a pretty face and I won’t see her hurt again.” “Well then you have nothing to worry about because I don’t plan to hurt her.” Cane walked away leaving Billy’s head spinning with unanswered questions and plans to keep Lily and Cane apart. He had always thought Lily was beautiful and sweet and if he could just put his bad boy ways behind him, she would be the perfect someone to build a future with. He didn’t know if he was ready to or even capable of throwing out his little black book, but he knew one thing for certain, he would go to any lengths to keep her away from Prince Charming.
