LEAP OF FATE Part 42a She felt his eyes upon her even before she open them and a smile crept across her beautiful face. He loved this part of their mornings when she would go back to bed and pretend to be asleep after brushing her teeth, waiting for him to wake her. “Morning”, said Lily opening her eyes. “Morning sweetheart”, said Cane getting back into bed with a hint of mischief in his voice and in his eyes. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?” question Lily. “Do you always have such involved dreams?” ask Cane in answer. “What are you talking about?” ask Lily. “You were talking in your sleep earlier”, said Cane. “I don’t talk in my sleep”, said Lily staring saucer eyed at Cane. “Yeah you do”, said Cane. “Okay. What was I saying?” ask Lily deciding to play along. “‘Cane, oh my God Cane, right there. Don’t stop’”, said Cane laughter in his eyes. “I can’t believe I almost fell for that”, said Lily throwing a pillow at him. He caught the pillow effortlessly and said, “Hmmm…maybe I was the one having the dream”. “Now that’s more like it. What were you dreaming about?” ask Lily. “Let me show you”, said Cane swooping in for a kiss. “What would you like for breakfast?” ask Lily coming up for air. “You”, said Cane planting tiny kisses along her jaw line. Then the phone rang interrupting them. “Let it ring”, said Lily but Cane had already reached for it. “Hello…morning Mum…yeah sure…when?” “…one hour…okay, we’ll see you then”, said Cane hanging up the phone. “I guess I’ll have to wait until later to find out about the rest of your dream”, said Lily kissing him. In response, Cane scooped her out of bed and brought her into the shower with him. A spray of cold water hit them as he turned on the tap causing Lily to giggle. Cane swallowed the laugh with a kiss while reaching for the soap to begin washing her back. Instead Lily took the soap from his hand, turned him around and began washing his back taking note of his strong muscles. She began at his left shoulder blade making her way to the right then down his back all the while planning tiny kisses in her wake. Then she turned him around and began her assault on his chest down to his manhood which she captured in her hands giving him a gentle massage. Not wanting to be left out and needing to be inside her Cane took the soap from her hand, switched position and started on her back. He brought his hands around to her breast and began to gently massage then igniting a fire within Lily. She tried to turn round to face him but he refused to let her and enter her from behind and began to move within her causing her to call out his name. He pulled out almost complete then entered her again going deeper. He repeated the motion again and again each time going deeper still. They all said good-morning then sat down to breakfast discussing all things baby, weddings and business. They had finished breakfast and were in the living room chatting when the door bell rang. Ester, who was the maid but treated as a member of the family, answered it. It was Lily’s bridal party. “Good-morning ladies”, said Jill addressing them. “What can we do for you this morning?” continued Jill. “We come to kidnap the bride for the weekend”, said Colleen. “But…” “No, we will hear no argument. Every bride has to have a bachelorette party so you might as well go pack”, said Victoria cutting Lily off. Then the door bell rang again. This time it was Cane’s groomsmen coming to kidnap him. He tried to argue the same as Lily but they wouldn’t hear of it. In the end, Cane and Lily had no choice but to agree. An hour later, the ladies were the first to leave. Jill took note of Heather and Billy as each couple parted with a kiss. Soon they made it to the airport standing on the tarmac of the Newman Jet. “Where are we going?” ask Lily. “You’ll find out when we get there”, said Mac coming up behind her. When they were all aboard the pilot announced that they would be taking off right away so they should fasten their seat belts and enjoy the flight. Meanwhile back in the kitchen at the mansion Jill was questioning Billy about his relationship with Heather. “So you and Heather are dating”, stated Jill. “Do you have a problem with that?” ask Billy. “Well, it was just the other day I saw her with Adam and now she’s jumped into bed with you”, said Jill. “Mom, forget where you’re going with this, Heather is not that type of girl”, said Billy. “That’s just it you don’t what type of girl she is”, said Jill, “you’ve only just met”. “Mom, stop right there okay. Heather and I didn’t just meet. We met years ago in China”, said Billy. “What? Are you telling me that she’s the girl who walked out on you without an explanation? Billy, why would you put yourself through that again?” ask Jill. “Listen we were both lied to and only recently found out. All I want is for you to give her a chance”, said Billy. Shaking her head in concern she said, “You’re still in love with her”. When he didn’t deny it she continued, “Have you told her yet?” He shook his head no and she advised him to be careful before letting him go to join his brother and the rest of their friends. “Everything all right?” ask Cane as Billy approached him. “Yeah, couldn’t be better”, said Billy slapping Cane on the shoulder. Then they all piled into the limo and Jill watched as it sped away. To be continued

LEAP OF FATE Part 42b Meanwhile, thousands of feet in the air, the ladies were getting to know each other better. They talked of their childhoods, their families, their careers, their dreams, their aspirations and the men in their lives. “So, Heather how did you and Billy meet?” ask Mac. “Um…well…um…” began Heather. “Listen Heather, everyone here knows what happen with me and Billy if that’s what you’re worried about. Don’t be, okay. We’ve all moved on and gotten passed it”, said Mac. “Are you sure? I just don’t to say something that would upset you”, said Heather. “You won’t”, said Mac reassuringly. “Alright. Um…we met at a restaurant in the middle of the afternoon. A friend of mine from school and I were touring the city when we got separated. Of course, I started to panic when I realized I didn’t speak the language and no one seemed to be able to point me in the right direction. Then I saw this restaurant and went in to ask directions back to the hotel which was a mistake because all they did was stare at me. I was feeling really uncomfortable so I started backing out and walking right into Billy. I apologized and turned around to walk out the door but he stopped me and asked if I was alright. It was such a shock to hear someone speaking English that it took me a while to realized what he had said. Anyways, I told him what happen and asked him if he could help me get a cab back to the hotel. He agreed but instead of finding me a cab he told his driver to take me to the hotel. Then later that evening he called to find out if I was okay and invited me to breakfast and it started from there”, said Heather a smile appearing on her face. “So what happen? I mean you came here and he was still in China”, said Jana. “Someone told me a lie and I believed it. I only found out the truth a few weeks ago when I saw Billy again”, said Heather. “What about Adam?” ask Colleen. “Adam? Adam is a jerk. Sorry Victoria, I know he’s your brother”, said Heather. “Don’t apologize; I happen to agree with you. There’s something about him that I don’t completely trust. I don’t know what it is but it’s there”, said Victoria. “Alright, you know what this weekend is about having fun so what do you all say we start having some?” said Colleen changing the subject sorry that she had brought it up in the first place. In another plane, also in the air Cane and his groomsmen were having a good time. They had talked about a variety of topics since take off but had settled on discussing the Philadelphia Phillies finally winning the World Series after a two day delay and the upcoming weekend NFL matchups. “Now Cane when you get married there are only five words in the English language that can prevent world war three”, said JT. “They are; ‘yes dear’ and ‘you are right’” said Adrian. “You’re joking right?” said Cane laughing. “No”, said Kevin as serious as can be. Then seeing the look on Cane’s face they all burst out laughing. “Yeah, we’re just joking. Seriously you don’t have anything to worry about. Lily’s a great girl”, said JT. “But the look on your face was priceless”, said Billy continuing to laugh at his big brother.“Ladies, welcome to Atlantic City”, said the pilot as the jet landed. Instantly Lily thought of Cane who had promise to take her there one day when she had told him she had never been. She missed him already. In a short while they made it through customs to their hotel where they deposited their belongings into their rooms and headed to the spa where they had an afternoon of pampering. Later they came back to their rooms to shower and change then made their way to the dining room to dinner. Meanwhile, in similar hotel rooms across the country the men were also getting ready to go to dinner. Cane was just about to leave his room when his cell phone rang. Looking at the display a smile crept across his face as he answered it. “Hi sweetheart”, said Cane. “Hi Baby. I miss you”, said Lily. “I miss you too. Where are you?” ask Cane. “Atlantic City. You?” ask Lily. “Vegas”, said Cane. “So we’re both gambling this weekend. Want to make it interesting?” ask Lily. “What do you have in mind?” ask Cane. “Well, if I win more money that you this weekend you owe me a massage. If you win, I owe you one”, said Lily. “It’s a deal”, said Cane laughing. “Okay, I have to go, the girls are waiting. I’ll see you tomorrow night”, said Lily. “Okay, tomorrow. I love you”, said Cane. “I love you”, said Lily. Then they both hung up.They both made their way to dinner with their respective groups. After which they made their way to the casinos where they spent the rest of the night until the wee hours of the morning gambling. Then it was off to bed. Next day, they all spent some time shopping, gambled some more then it was back on the plane home. It was a great weekend. Lily and Cane missed each other a lot but each had to admit that it was great just spending time with their friends free from worrying about the wedding and the two big Jabot launches later in the week. Cane was the first one home. And since the nights were getting chilly he built a fire in the hearth and waited for Lily to get home. Half an hour later, she came home to find him dozing on the couch. She smiled at the image he presented then tip-toed over to him and kissed him awake. “Hi”, said Cane against her lips. “Hi”, said Lily. Pulling her down on the couch with him, Cane asks “How was your weekend?” “Great! It was great. The company was good. So was the food. And the gambling was excellent”, said Lily. “Sounds like you had a good time”, said Cane. “Oh I did. But I missed you”, confessed Lily. “What about you?” she continued. “It was good. I had a lot of fun with the guys though I wouldn’t say the gambling was excellent”, said cane. “Hmmm…could it be that I won the bet?” ask Lily. “That rather depends on how much you won”, said Cane. “Would I be the winner if say I won ten thousand?” ask Lily. “You did?” ask Cane in surprise. “I did. Playing poker no less and it’s all thanks to you. You taught me how to play”, said Lily gushingly. “How did you do?” continued Lily. “Not as good as you. I only won twenty-five hundred”, said Cane. “So I won the bet”, said Lily smiling. “It seems that way”, said Cane. “This calls for a celebration”, said Lily tugging at Cane’s shirt and reaching for the buttons. “What about your massage?” ask Cane. “There will be plenty of time for that later. Right now I want to celebrate our winnings”, said Lily. “Next time I go to Vegas, you’re definitely coming with me”, said Cane just before their lips met. To be continued...

Hello TrishGreat update to your story. Chapter 42a was hot, it's fifty two degrees here and I had to turn on the fan LOL loved it. I loved how you had the ladies in the east and the guys in the west on gambling excursions and not in a club with strippers jumping out of a cake, not that anything is wrong with that but it's just typical. anyway I enjoyed the update these fanfic and you tube is whats keeping me going these days since Lane are not together anymore. FACING WHAT I'M FEELING Cane has been trying to work all day but he just couldn't think stright because he just couldn't stop think about lily the way she smiled and the she moves the scent of her hair,and her performe that she wears .Cane tried everyrthing just to stop thinking about lily but not happening at all .he tried holding a meeting , working on his compter but nothing was working . the thing that he could do is remember the he ask her to married him ,and the wayshe said yes . so he went to vist his grandmother just to how she was doing but the thing was he just could get her off his mind kay knew what was worng so she ask him to her out to eat just to get his mind off f lily. but when they got there Billy was already there and waiting for his date to show up that's when he saw his graandmother and bother he thought that this would be the perfect time just to stick to cane. kay had ask him what was he doing there Billy said that he was on a date and that she was meeting him there so kay ask him if he colud join them for dinner . cane was wanted to what his brother date look like. that when it happen cane look at and found out who it was his love of his life and she got both brother attention right away she had took both brother breathe away when she walk in. she waer a sliver and blue dress that was to die. lily came and said hi to everyone that when both of them couldn't remember therir names at because she took there breathe away that when Billy spoke up and the you look perfect that breathething cane had agree to . but lily's phone rang she I've got to anwser this I's be right.
