I know. That doesn't mean he was less of a great bad guy. The best part was when H called him of his bio dad's phone and told him that the bio dad was abandoning him. It didn't matter because Clavo had H who he could always rely on to chase him. Isn't that what Clavo said to the General just before he shot him? "You should learn a think or two from this guy, pops. He never gives up!" Something like that!

When I said I wanted him in a few more episodes I was talking about Ron, not Clavo. Even though Clavo is still my favorite, I thought Ron was great. Ron made a pretty good show for himself as a fitting and believable arch enemy for Horatio. I hope that Ron is in a few more episodes (not just one) and that Eric gets to shoot him (as apposed H). I think it should be Eric because H got to knife Riaz.

Hi all and Welcome "newbies":By far, to me... Clavo Cruz was the "best" H nemesis. There was just this great tension and screen chemistry between David Caruso/H and Gonzalo Menendez/Clavo Cruz. Ron Saris is sort of a wacky, psychotic type that initially just saw H as a barrier to his goals of having Julia and her money. When Ron returns (and he will) later in Season 7, it will probably be a revenge thing. But, Clavo was this very cleaver and cocky evil type who I think admired H as his opposite and H vice versa. The H and Clavo relationship was like the classic good and evil struggle and I love watching these two play-off each other in old episodes.Do you remember this moment in "No Man's Land" #5.14?(Prison interrogation room. Clavo sitting down in chair and H standing in front of him)Clavo: You know, you got some nerve, dog. CO pulled me out of my yard time for this little visit with you?H: Turns out, Clavo... that your cousin, Pedro, killed a police officer.(Clavo claps lightly)Clavo: What does my sorry... incarcerated ass... have to do with that?H: Why don't you tell me?Clavo: Oooh. Oh, you just got me shaking in my jumps now, H.H: What are you two up to?Clavo: Blah...blah, blah. Blah, blah. 'Cause of you... I got nothing, Caine. I got no father... no home. I got no country. I don't owe you a damn thing.(H doing his typical standing and rocking back and forth from side to side)H: Clavo... if you are after my attention, you have it. So, why don't you be a man... and tell me what you are up to?(Clavo shakes head)Clavo: Hey, guard. You the one that set me up on this blind date with this hater? Bounce me up out of here, won't you please?(Clavo stands up)H: Clavo. This isn't over.Clavo: Lieutenant Caine. The master of the obvious.(Clavo stabs guard. Other guards get a hold of Clavo and pin him against wall) (H comes towards him and kicks chair across room and stares at Clavo. Ooohhh.. that H stare)Clavo: I'm entitled to a fair trial... right, Caine? (laughs)H: Take Him. (Clavo is escorted out the room, laughing with a evil tone)I just love it! Although, this scene, the characters and the acting is very different... if you’re a DC fan and familiar with NYPD Blue, you have to notice the DC/H similarity of him kicking the chair across the prison room and DC/Detective John Kelly doing the same action in NYPD Blue episode "Zeppo Marks Brothers" #18.H-COOL

Clavo was the best bad guy and I sometimes wish he didn't die just so H and Clavo could meet up again...they perform together very well. And I agree, my favorite line of all time is, "...We never close." My favorite episode of all time. H means business and he doesn't play!!!!!!

I loved this scene between the two of them. The characters were in their element, at their best here. The second best scene between the two of them is when Clavo comes to meet H outside the lab building. Clavo shows his gun. H reveals his gun from behind him. They both kind of nod to each other. At the very end Clavo tells H to take care, raises his weapon, but H draws quicker shooting him first. This scene spoke so much in under two minutes. Clavo has an admirable respect for H. I think he wanted H to shoot him because H is the only one who understood, he respected him. Clavo saw him as a formidable adversary and therefore thought, him dying any other way than at the hands of H would be unacceptable to Clavo. The ultimate scene between them is when Clavo goes and holds the Colonel hostage at gunpoint. I believe this was mentioned in earlier posts on this thread. Clavo tell Pops he could take a few lessons from H. This also had a lot of underlying emotion in it, sharing empathy, pain and vulnerability. I believe ultimately, Clavo was a lost soul, and was a product of constant disappointment and rejection his entire life. This is why he was THE end all be all best bad guy in my eyes. He wanted to end the pain and he sought out H to end that pain for him.

Yes. Clavo was a lost soul, but he was also a product of his own greed and villainy. As H said "Clavo's a big boy, who did this to himself!"

Hmmm. This thread is sitting in one place. If its alright with everyone...Since everyone seems to agree that Clavo was the best villain, I was wondering what everyone thought about the villains from just last season? The villains were Rick Bates Miranda Harton Julio Rentoria Joe LeBrock Nicolas Pike (?) Mike Faralon Mitch Pena Julia Winston (you can add her if you want. I don't consider her a villain) Ron Saris Chief Braga (in Brazil) Lou Darning Agent Sylvestri Kurk Rossi Juan Ortega Who was the most evil villain last season? (This list is of course incomplete, so feel free to name others.) My favorite was Ron (can you guess?) and my second was Joe LeBrock!

Joe LaBrock was unforgettable and Ron Saris is evil on a different level. Now I do kind of consider Julia a villian, something about her I just don't trust. Oh and Ortega, I remember him...not a nice guy either.

In all honesty, the character that Lucy Lawless played, I wish would have been more developed. She could have been a really good bad guy. They need to bring her back in another eppy maybe even involving her knowing Julia. Now that would be great!

Last season's best villain has to be by far Ron Sirus. I can't wait to see how scorned H is when he wipes the floor with him!! This is all completely personal which makes him a very wicked villain for Horatio. I predict H focuses all of his emotional fury onto Ron obliterating him. Ron is either going to go after Julia, Kyle or both; and that will be the final straw that snaps Horatio to his core.
