ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Police confirmed Friday night that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Kandi Burress' ex-fiance A.J. Jewell was killed at an Atlanta night club. Police said Jewell died after a fight at the Body Tap club on Marietta Boulevard. Police said Jewell suffered a severe head injury during the fight and was taken to Piedmont Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators said they had no suspects is in custody Friday night.

She's my fav too -- she seems like the most "real" of the housewives. I did notice it said ex -- I had no idea they had broken up. Maybe her mom finally got her to break things off??

Idrive by the club all the time. It is not in a very nice part of town.

Maybe that's why they called their engagement off?? He was hanging out in places like that.... I had no clue they had broken up. Here's an update to the story.

The ex-fiance of Kandi Burruss -- who stars on " Real Housewives of Atlanta " -- died tonight after a brawl erupted at a club in Atlanta.

Cops say A.J. Jewell suffered severe head injuries during the fight at Body Tap and was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, where he later died ... this according to myfoxatlanta.com . Cops currently have no suspects in custody. UPDATE -- Atlanta police spokesman James Polite says Fredrick Richardson has been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ashley "A.J." Jewell. Richardson was hospitalized after the alleged fight and will be taken into custody once he is released.

I know, Sp0nge, its very sad. People don't realize how easy it is to cause severe head inj uries that can kill a person during a fight. A year ago a college student left a bar and was ganged up on by a couple people -- they shoved him down and he hit his head on the cement and died. He was only a freshman in college -- they weren't planning on killing him.... they just got into a fight and it happened. I was watching some reruns today and saw Khandi talking about how she and her fiance were having problems. I must have missed that episode before..... I never even realized they had broken up. She must be devastated, though!
