What do you love about Gibbs? Whats not to love got to love the rules he has set up; he has confidence in the agents he has chosen to do their job. Got love a man who can build boats in his basement; and burns one if named after an ex wife. Always there to help a friend out even if that friend maybe Franks or even Fornell. And he gets along with everyone; well he tries in his own unique way. And he is good looking to boot

Great looks. Strong character. Wish I was stronger. I love sailboats and so does Gibbs. Wish they would show Gibbs actually sailing even if it's not his boat. I tried making a sailboat once. It turned into a night stand. He's always there to help a friend. I could use one now. The rules are funny. The writers need to write some more rules or we'll never get all fifty. I also like how he always gets the bad guy. I wish real life went that way. And did I mention a great smile.

Gibbs is a genuinely good guy with high standards. He's suffered and keeps on trying. He's private which makes him mysterious, but is compassionate and a good friend.

Why do Ilike the Silver-Haired Fox? Hmm, Gibbs is smart, tough, strong, yet compassionate, passionate and stubborn about what he thinks is right. He has honor and humor and loves his team, even if he can't tell them that he loves them. He does his job and doesn't let stupid bureaucrats get in his way. He is a Marine's Marine.

I love his toughness yet is extremely caring about his team and looks out for them. He makes the show with his headslaps, glares and his humor (best one was the quick apple cider break). He has great morels and is not afraid to stand up to anyone and the fact that he is so sexy!

Mark Harmon has acted and acts a fabulous character. It's always a great experience to watch Gibbs even when I am not fond of the plotline.

I love, to put it simply, the mystery about Gibbs. I love the way Gibbs can say something with just a look. I love his sly little smile that says, "I know *so* much more than you think I do." I love that Tony and Abby are so enamored by him and always trying to figure out his secrets; I also love the kindness he treats everyone with. MH plays him with such nuance and detail, and particularly in seasons 1 and 2 his sense of humor was really delightful, we need some more of the "secretly hilarious" Gibbs, but I digress. Gibbs rocks!

Gibbs is the ultimate leader. He treats each of his colleagues differently but equally. He shows them love in the way they best receive it. I think this is why he's a great leader. They all love and trust him but they still fear disappointing him.

His voice and his smile remind me of my late father which is kind of comforting. Besides, he is the best looking man on television!

What's not to love?! Gibbs makes NCIS. Without him, I doubt it would be half of what it is now. Not to short change the other characters but Gibbs is NCIS. Gibbs is not just a cut out boss, there as a backdrop to the other characters. On the outside, he's strong and won't back down for anything. He's fiercly protective of his people. On the inside, he's sensitive and caring. Any scene with Kelly and Shannon is a tear-jerker because you feel his pain. He's funny, in a totally modest, understanted, and slightly unappreciated way. He's the backbone of the team. To quote the amazing Mark Harmon, "Gibbs is like a good hunting dog." He's definitily someone I would want to be on my side and there's nothing worse in the world than being on his bad side. I also love his relationship with Fornell. They're like two peas in a pod. Gibbs is definitly my hero. Mark Harmon is pretty great too!

Gibbs is almost exactly like my father. My father is prior military,my father is a retired Armed Fed, my father builds boats, my father listens and gives advice like Gibbs does....I will watch this show after my father dies and see my father in Gibbs. Also my father and I have bonded closer because of this show....Thank you DB for giving me this gift that I can have found memories watching. Thank you also Mark Harmon as you will never realize how much your remind me of my dad. That is Why I Love Gibbs.

(but my dad doesn't have a basement.....)

So many reasons...

1) The Gibbs Stare: I love how team members start veering off course and he just gives them a look and they get back on track. Probably because they are trying to avoid... 2) The Gibbs Head Slap: This sign of affection which makes the team feel like part of team and what makes them more than just a team, but a dysfunction (aka normal) family! 3) His outward toughness, but inner softness, which makes him such a wonderfully complicated and 3-dimensional character.

I love Gibbs for many reasons. First and foremost he is like a father figure to all of them, not just Abby. Also like a father and friend he does not take crap from anyone. If you are out of line he will let you know, and if your in trouble he is their to bail you out or prove your innocence as the case may be.

To me Gibbs is the father I never had and always wanted. Iknow...it's a cliche...but it is also very much true. My abusive father left when I was really young and my brother and I were raised by a single mother, who is amazing by the way. But she wasalways busy making sure to pay the rent and bills, and getting foodin the house. And therefore there wasn't much time todo all the fun, outdoorsy family stuff that Ialways wanted. Gibbs is tough as nails and strict, but he is also kind, caring, tender, and really loving . Underneath that Marine is a heart of gold and I guy who would do anything for his family. I can just imagine how amazing life would have been growing up with Gibbs as a father, or stepfather. We would go camping and fishing as a family Gibbs teaching us all the cool tricks. We would build tree houses in the backyard, and boats in the basement of course. We would sailour boats allaround the world and stay up nightsstargazing from the middle of the ocean.I have always been a daddys girl without a dad, and Gibbs is definitely the dad I would choose if I could.
