Christmas arrives on both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles on Dec. 15. As an early holiday gift to fans, the franchise’s executive producer, Shane 'Santa' Brennan, has dropped a sleigh-load of 2010 scoops down my chimney. The most exciting tidbit: after a longgg dry spell, Mark Harmon’s Agent Gibbs is finally going to have someone to kiss in the new year! So hang up that mistletoe. “It’s snowing for our nostalgic Christmas episode on NCIS, with Agents Gibbs, DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and McGee (Sean Murray) all involved in personal stories,” previews the EP. “For Gibbs, it’s the return of his father (Ralph Waite), who has a secret. Something’s clearly wrong, and what is discussed will offer insight into the way Gibbs lives his own life.”

Along those same lines, in January, DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) will learn an unexpected truth about the way his dad, Anthony Sr. (Robert Wagner), made a living. But don’t expect DiNozzo to receive much comfort from Ziva (Cote de Pablo), as their relationship will remain “status quo,” says Brennan. “There won’t be any long-term arcs for these two.

” Now for that Gibbs kiss news. Brennan let slip that “there is a kiss in Gibbs’ future – his first since Col. Hollis Mann back in season four.” This new female will stick around for a while, but Brennan warns her kiss may be “romantic or a Judas kiss” - meaning that mistletoe may be intertwined with hemlock. Beware Gibbs!

It could be the Rene Sofer character. & something wrong with dad? Poor Gibbs, hasn't he had enough heartbreak, give the guy a break. & I thought Sofer's character was a lawyer & Gibbs didn't like lawyers.Could Tony's father be in the mob?? & what could be up with McGee (The ICE lady or Ziva's therapist)?? The suspense is killing me. & hooray for SB not starting a TIVA arc!!

No tiva is always a good thing. Would be interesting if Daddy Dinozzo was in the mob, could be the reason he didn't want Tony to go into law enforcement. They should just bring Mann back for Gibbs.

Sounds interesting. A holidays get-together can bring out family secrets, sometimes. Can't decide how I feel about the Gibbs' kiss. Conversely, I can live without TIVA. Don't really care one-way-or-the-other.

That would be a great twist. It could also serve as a freeing experience for Tony, in the sense that he was right about himself & his abilities & dreams. Bittersweet, but giving nonetheless.

Always a good thing. Still hoping SB grows a brain & kills the idiotic pairing. Although the Daddy DiNozzo mob connection seems a bit too contrived given the italian background thing. Right up their alley though (just as Tony suddenly being an alcoholic would be). Mann = UGH...much too hard nosed for Gibbs....although I'm doing cartwheels over the thought that it's someone new & *not* Ziva he'll be sharing the screen with.

So happy about no TIVA. Haven't seen any thing there this season, thank you lord!!!! Gibbs can kiss anyone he wants, Idon't care there either. I'm a Tony fan. I hope that Tony finds out his dad borrowed money from his mom or mom's family and dad has to pay Tony a big hunia money. Hope it's not MOB, that's too stereotypical. With Tony's luck, he'll find out dad is an arms dealer and was good friends with La Grenouille. Maybe Jeanne will turn up as his dad's newest wife.

Ihope Tony isn't an alcoholic! Ithink that would be something that would kill him emotionally....Tony likes to be in control of his emotions and his actions. Even when he does something stupid, it's because he's made that choice.

I wondered if Tony's dad was going to be involved in something illegal. In one episode Tony mentioned his dad living in a place where rich people go to hide assets. It was the episode where the woman lawyer wouldn't tell who her client was. Tony thought she was a man when talking with Ziva in the lawyers' office , Seems to have been the episode about selling body parts, but I'm not sure,

Switzerland, then, I would presume; though people started hiding money in Dubai some time ago, as well.

The episode centered around Gibbs' kiss is Faith or can it be another one as it is mentionned "the new year "(Mistletoe) I found a redhead for the episode faith. I hope it will nother.
