Big Bang Theory

Belarus television channel STV (the former USSR ) makes a teleserial "The Theorists" which is a clone of a cult serial "The Big Bang Theory". It being known that "The Theorists" is a history of relationship of young scientists and blonde-barmaid Natasha who becomes object of general adoration.

Serial action is developed in small town of atomic scientists. "According to script writers it, probably, was a unique place where it was possible to collect both the scientist-physicist, and the atomic scientist, both the chemist-biologist, and the mathematician, and the simple expert who can repair everything that breaks, and to add to them the blonde who dreams of the prince" »

Apparently the Belarus TV men have stupidly stolen the idea of the original serial, not having paid thus to the creators a penny.

Haahaa brilliant !. I have this image of the Chuck Lorre Productions lawyers choking on their cornflakes and then reaching for their laptops to Google. Belarus.STV and finances. Shortly afterwards a Belarusian dictionary will be found and legal documents translated, with a cover letter signed off simply "mwahhahhh Chuck Lorre Productions"

It wasn't a clone,,,,, but there's that show over yonder, in Paul's territory about the tech support dept that works in the basement..... it was a help in getting thru the summer..... is it still on? What is it called? I liked it until they got to the secret freak in the backroom.....

That's a comedy called, THE IT CROWD GG and its still on, new episodes due next year I think. Its written by one guy though so we don't get as many episodes each year as a group written show like TBBT.

I might be wrong, but what I've remember as long as the names and title is different and

the episodes are not exactly alike ours, then they can do this. And not sure if infringement

copies apply to other countries, but see what CBS say first.
