Very funny, Treehugs! I see now that they FINALLY posted an epi 12 thread, and tried to save face by posting # 13 and 14 in advance. Someone must have really gotten some flack over there. On another subject, I think it's up in the air as to whether Bob is promising the immunity necklace or his fake idol.Phils has a point when s/he says:
philsfan wrote: As I said before it's my opinion that Bob IS refering to the immunity necklace. Unless the Survivor gods of editing spliced parts of to sentences together he can only be refering to the IN. You know rules of basic grammer, the "it" in the sentence is refering to what Bob will win in the next IC. Correct?
Gramatically correct, yes, Phils, however (good ole' CBS editing): They might have been discussing the (fake) idol, as in, why didn't Corinne play it, etc., so "it" might have already been established as referring to that (fake) idol . So when Bob says if he wins the immunity challenge, he'll give it to Kenny, the "it" could still be the (fake) idol of the conversation prior to that sentence. In other words, Bob would only give up his (fake) idol to Kenny if he wins the immunity necklace for himself. Otherwise, why would Kenny believe that Bob would be stupid enough to give up individual immunity? I think perhaps CBS edited it that way to trick us into believing that Bob might give up his own individual immunity.
Wy , I can't argue with you regarding the spectacular talent of the CBS Survivor Editing Wizards (oh wow that sure was a crock line, lol). Indeed Bob may have meant the fake idol BUT that's not what he said, I'm excited to see which side will win this debate. Phils

Phils,You're thanking me?? I'm just glad to see someone else understands! lol - It's in the sentence, and the text below it. Bob doesn't need to KEEP his promise, hey, this is Survivor! He did say I'll give it to you.. Not "I'll give IT to you, but I think you understand. There was no editing in the sentence. I can't wait either to see the end of this debate, but I don't think there is one, although I admire the opinions and crafty imaginations of others - With Survivor, ALL Things ARE possible, I admit. I love reading most of the postings. The only problem is that I don't want to spend the time reading ALL of them. I truly do not like Susie and have a hatred for Crystal. Crystal should have been gone a long time ago. She adds nothing to the game nor the show. Kenny is a good player. Sugar is having a ball. Bob is the man. He is so smart. I would love to be a student in his class. Matty is awesome. He is no Ozzy, but he is playing the game hard. Let's enjoy the final two shows.

I agree with wyoseeker here. I think "it" could easily be referring back to something in an earlier sentence that got edited out for the preview. I simply can't believe Bob would agree to give away immunity he wins in a challenge. However, I can TOTALLY see him having a discussion with Ken where Ken is fussing at him for "messing up my game" by not flushing out the fake idol (which, in this scenario, Ken still believes is real.) So just for fun let's say Ken is saying something like "You messed up my game because now that idol is still floating around out there!" and Bob replies "Tell you what -- if I win the immunity challenge, I'll give it to you." That makes complete sense, and could be fit into what was edited and presented to us in the teaser. I respect your ideas, carriekins and phils, but I still think wyoseeker has a valid possibility here. (I'll never tell you you're wrong, though! All ideas are possible!) Just one question, though -- Carrie, I'm not sure what you mean when you say 'Bob didn't say I'll give IT to you, he said I'll give it to you.' What's the difference between 'it' and 'IT'? Are you just saying it's something about the vocal inflection he used or something?

ROTFLOL, Jackie, I acutally thought about that, no kidding. This one acutally came easier. *BAND*
Dear Band,Unless I'm way off the target here, there is a whole generation of music going on without silly songs. i guess I'll just " Take my chewing Gum off the bedpost" and think about it! Hmm..Sugar could sing "Sneaky Snake". Randy could sing "Allie Opp". Marcus could sing "Ahab the Arab". etc.JackieCan you think of others?

Oh, I did see that on the 2nd post Jackie but since it didn't matter within the context of the strategy, I just left it. I had heard her (Sugar) say bully, weak, and something! about 3-4 times, - between those 2.Carrie
Dear Carrie,I guess the question here is 'Do you dislike a liar or a bully more?' Ken is likable even with his lies, which has to do with playing the game. But a bully usually is a bully all the time regardless of the game. With voting going at one at a time I would take out the bully first wonder which way Sugar will go.Jackie

Dear madam,IMHO Carrie was refering back to something I wrote. Bob didn't say 'I will give you the II.' Nor did he say 'I will give you the HII'. To me because of how the editors have the power, the word "IT" could mean either one of the two. It was not a vocal inflection just the word'it' that I was talking about. jackie

Jackie, I wouldn't say you're "way off", but not spot on, either. The most appropriate silly song of the current decade for the game of Survivor: "If I Had a Million Dollars" by Barenaked Ladies. (link to video in Subject line, above)

(link to video in Subject line, above) Wow Fornaxus I never thought to put a link into the subject space! i guess my country/western is showing on the music! It seems like early R&R is being played there instead of the new R&R stations! The last silly song I remember was "Who Let the Dogs Out!" i know I'm way behind the times! Not only music but movies also, getting ready to watch '2001 a Space Odyssey". Most of the great sci-fi are now passed away Clarke, Assimov, Sagan, Bradbury, Bova & on & on!Jackie

Jackie, The thing that comes closest for this generation is Weird Al Yankovic. He has written parodies of so many popular songs. My son happens to be a big fan he has every CD, a couple of videos, and several clothing items. But I agree I don't think there is anyone writing original silly songs today. I will try to add a few other songs to you list: The Monster Mash. I am Being Swallowed by a Boa Constrictor, I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Cocoanuts (could have used that for Fans Vs Favs), On Top of Spaghettit, Do your Ears Hang Low?, and Puff the Magic Dragon (although I have reservations about this one). *BAND*

Jackie, There are several products that could be used to automate this process. My current and previous employers have software that captures key strokes and mouse clicks that can be set to "play" at a preset time. We use it for testing and retesting software so we can easily repeat stand tests.*BAND*
