THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST NEW PROGRAMS ON CBS. I COULDN'T HARDLY WAIT FOR IT TO COME ON EACH WEEK. THOSE TWO ARE ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN A PROGRAM AND THEY ARE BOTH GOOD LOOKING AND HEART THROBS.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT WAS TAKEN AWAY. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. PLEASE PLEASE.

I admit that, after a couple of episodes I wasn't really that much into it. However, I do private duty nursing, and my patient at the time wanted to watch it, so I was forced to.

As it went on, I began to find myself more and more fascinated by the Science, andDr. Hoodgrew on me, too. By the time I saw the last episode, I was Eager to see more.

There are probably a Lot of people like me, and 10 or 15 years ago the network would have given the show the time it needed to get its legs. The Best shows are sometimes the ones that an audience needs time to work into; if the whole thing can be understood at one look the First episode is Interesting, but theaudience fallsoff quickly because it looses interest.

I don't know who the Suits at CBS are, but I'd Bet they're MBA types, just eager as all get out to pick up that bottom line. Their attitude is, If the product isn't Moving, get it out and put in something New.

It's a Shame. So many of the Classicss are shows that needed time. Fortunately, they got it. Unfortunately, times have changed.

20 years ago, I, and many people that I knew, fell in Love with a t.v. show called "Beauty and the Beast". We Loved it; we joined fan clubs, went to conventions, and talked "B&B" 24/7. For 2 years we were privileged to live in it's alternative universe.

Then it was cancelled.We wrote letters; we begged; we made phone calls. Finally, all this extreme effort (up all night licking envelopes, etc.) seemingly paid off in a 3rd season. We were overjoyed.

When we saw the 3rd season opener it was a Shock. Our beautiful visual poem had been turned into a Chase show. Vincent as Urban Vigilante! His new female partner was a Cop, for crying out loud! That was when we found out that the show hadn't been cancelled because of low numbers. The ratings were Fine. It just didn't get the right Demographic that the Advertisers needed in order to justify their expense. It seems that Males between the ages of 25 and 40 are Golden. Advertisers are convinced that they have all the money in the world and, if you can't get them to watch your show, why waste money on it?

Our show was cancelled because the vast audience that loved it wasn't made up ofpeople who made enough money! One of the Suits involved with the show even said contemptuously "The show has Nuns who are fans! Who has Nuns?!" It was Not a compliment on the quality of the productions.

That was the day that I learned Never to become emotionally involved in Anything owned by Anybody else. Never again have I Loved a show. Never again have I allowed myself any more investment in a show than would cause an "Oh darn" if it went away. The fact is that we Do Not Count. We are only the Product that the makers of the show deliver to Advertisers. If there aren't enough Butts in front of the set, and/or if they're not the Right butts, you might as well give it up easy. That show is going down the tubes. Unless you can figure out how theNetwork canget enough Male butts between 25 and 40towatch the show (mixed metaphor), you might as well save your time and energy.

I don't say not to make an effort. I Do say not to expect much. And I sincerely hope that the show will be renewed.

Just read this am that Harper's Island is being moved to Saturdays. No word on what is replacing it for the summer.

Last ratings I saw were 7.5 million.
