Ace-the next Johnny Fairplay?

It looks like Ace is going to be the next Johnny Fairplay, one of the mostdisliked players.I even picked him for my team, he seemed annoyingenough to be named by Jeff for survivor points!Did anyone notice when he was in the canoe with Sugar and she said shehad the immunity necklace he said"we won". Hey, unless you have a necklacealso, you got a mouse in your pocket? He's interesting - I think that accentis fake too. Hope Sugar doesn't hand over the necklace. : )

I really hope she caught that one, and is also 'playing dumb' for Ace. It would be so cool if she turned on him at just the right moment. In fact, I'm looking forward to it! Carriekins

BAND,Ace is looking Dangerous to me. Not only did the others let him throw Paloma out there, but said nothing when he wanted to 'throw' the challenge. It goes back to Eppy #1, when he stated quite boldly - "I fully expect Jeff to hand me the $1,000.000.00 cheque". Remind you of anyone? I know Hatch had less to work with, but this bunch isn't proving any smarter, at this juncture.I think Sugar wanted to immediately prove to Somebody that she was NO dummy. I guess Ace, her ally, was closest. Yes, a mistake maybe, but It's early. I can understand. I think (and hope) we are underestimating Miss Sugar very much, as is Kota, and I hope she SEES Ace for what he is. The girl has a lot of heart, too. Couldn't help notice how much her 'dad' was pushing her on in Spirit.C'kins : -)

I don't think Sugar is playing dumb, she just needs an "Ace in the pocket"so to speak, someoneto help her last till the end. Ace, what more can we say-he's to smart for his own good-it could backfireon him. I read somewhere that the producers hope the interesting people last thruout the show,and so far it has.

I agree I think Ace is an @ss. I liked him at first when I watched his interview but I guess I got played too. He is so arrogant. He thinks he is the sh!t. I would LOVE to see sugar back door Ace. I hope he and the rest of her tribe is smart enough to see that he needs to be sent home sooner than later. Wouldn't they rather have him gone before he can get on the jury? Then they wouldn't have to worry about him having a vote. Cant wit to see that smug idiot go packing.

IMHO comparing Ace to the next Johnny Fairplay is going a tad too far. I don't see a comparison here at all. All this talk about how he's using Sugar, geez Sugar has all you people fooled. Sugar's an actress who was chosen to be on the show (reference the MSNBC article where Survivor doesn't pick regular people anymore). I'd be willing to bet it was her agent or manager who got her on the show for more exposure for her acting career. She was willing to spill her guts about the HII, she's the one who wants to go back to Fang to be with Ace and I think it'll be pretty funny this week after the rest of Fang goes through her belongings, finds out she has the HII, and either she doesn't use it on herself or fearing they might try to get Ace out, she give it to Ace.

Sorry, but I disagree.Maybe not in the same league as Fairplay, but still out there.Ace I believe is a real player. Without calling him out, it seems so much of him isfake.Just like Fairplay.Also, if Sugar was cast-how about Ace?Jeff's lastest blog-he said"he believes Ace doesn't even trust Ace".

Nah Randy is not the next Johnny because Randy is not smart enough. Johnny actually wasn't that bad of a player and he had his team behind him for a long time. Randy managed to piss people off within days and if that switch hadn't happened I think Randy would've been on the chopping block quite fast. Ace has been a bit lucky too though if you think about it. He could've been gone twice now. Ken and his gang have the majority vote in the new tribe, so if they had decided "bye bye Ace" he would've been gone and he didn't try to find out what they were voting for either. Meh, I think we'll never see a swerve like Johnny's dead grandma again.

I rather liked that "character"Fairplay. He was pretty funny!Maybe cbs didn't, he pulled a fast one on them and they probably didn't like it. With the next ep., they would be stupid to vote out Ace, he's the smartestand strongest on that tribe, they need him for challenges.I could see him go to the final 4.As for Randy,something about him doesn't gel.

On last nights episode, when Matty and Ace were making a pact, and Ace swore on his mother, I instantly thought of Johnny Fairplay and his grandmother. I don't love to hate Ace, I just don't like him and don't want to see him win. I haven't like him since before the show even started. As soon as I read his profile I decided I didn't like him then. He's too arrogant. It drives me crazy.

I don,t care for him either.Right off, I figured him for a real character-like Fairplay.Last ep. did you catch him also saying "who can I get to be my Benedict Arnold".I figured him for point value-love to hate.Also, yeah for Ken telling Sugar to getthe necklace back from Ace.

What people are reacting to is Ace's flaunty, arrogant personality, not his snakiness; for the majority of the Survivors ARE snaky. Examples: I've studied Kenny's gameplay choices since the beginning. Do you think he CARES?! That his choice of Kelli at the reshuffle was going to guarantee the team continuing to lose challenges and members? NO. He NEEDED (ie. USED) a 'weakest' player to keep the radar off himself as a target. He told Jacquie his vote would not make a difference in her staying or not, BUT IT DID. Those are only samplers for Kenny. He has played a selfish game in the extreme, to the detriment of his tribe. HOWEVER. It has served him (and only him at the expense of others) very well. (He's currently in process of flipping on Crystal without telling her now that she many not be needed further. So who is snakier, guys? I'm playing Devil's Advocate: Ace, who pretty much only made two promises through Week 6: To Sugar and Matty, and he claims behind the scenes he is true to both. Or some of the others, who are stringing people along and cutting ties whenever it suits them. (Another example, Corinne's original alliance: We'll bring Bob in as a fifth cos we need a fifth, and Bob's the expendable one but he doesn't need to know that.)So let's be real, people: If Ace is disliked because he wears he wears arrogance and confidence on his sleeve, that's one thing. But the irony is, he is one of the few that is remaining True to his careful word and alliance (I believe what he said to the camera, as those are times he brags and divulges other private info, when he said that he truly would do whatever he could to further Sugar in the game. He wants her to be his final 2 or 3, that is obvious. And yeah, while I think Sugar is more brilliant than they give her credit for, her goodheartedness and noncompetitiveness compared to others there will probably get her out before the end... but I can easily see why Ace thinks that taking her to the end would give him a win.Dislike Ace for his personality, but many of the players are "snakier."

I think there is a part of Ace that is also having a tremendous amount of fun "playing a role." I'm going to guess in real life he's a tad more mundane (or more!). But it's t.v., and they are all playing roles. Here is what I like about him: He plays a really great villain. Everyone loves to hate him. But having him in the game, ironically, makes it more interesting, gives people more to bitch about. Face it, he's doing awesome at getting under people's skin and making a splash.Having a variety of kinds of players, how they look, their ages, their personalities (or in this case, poisonality) makes for a more interesting season run. But no, I don't want him to win, and he won't.

Ace does not even COMPARE to Jonny Fairplay. Ace was nothing but an idiot. He never had a card to play and the 1 person he thought he might be smarter than totally kicked his butt, and outsmarted, outplayed and TOTALLY outwitted him. He will go down as nothing more memorable that "THAT GUY WITH THE FAKE ACCENT" on the almost equally boring season. He never did anything to win a challenge, Randy doesn't sound ANYTHING at all like Sugar, but Randy EASILY bossed him around in the blindfold challenge. Ace's cockiness completely obliterated him. That yoga crap didn't buy anyone. I wanted him 1st out, but unfortunately Michelle, who actually should have been a contender was. Stupid people play the game stupidly. And Ace is stupid.
