What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

For me, the episodes I find the most scary, are the ones that deal with someone being in the house with you, or home invasion. Because when I was a young girl, someone broke into our house while I was home. I was not hurt physically, but it sure scared the crap out of me. And now, to this day I have a hard time being home alone, usually at nighttime, but sometimes in the day too. I guess it is always in the back of my mind. So, why would I watch those episodes dealing with that subject? ...well, I figure it is like my huge phobia with snakes, so scared of them, but almost can't help but look? weird, I know.I thought this might make an interesting topic for discussion, but you tell me...

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

There are so many episodes I love, I always feel bad narrowing it down to one. But, I think this time, I can. The episode is Seven Seconds in season 3. The episode with the kidnapped girl in the mall. It's a practically flawless, emotionally charged episode. First, every team member had a purpose and did something in the episode or had an interesting scene. Minor, but still important was JJ calming down the mother and explaining why she had to ask difficult questions in order to find her daughter. Garcia demanding all the security footage and then getting the seven seconds of Katie (the little girl) walking away with the unsub. Morgan figuring out that Katie had been molested and reassuring her cousin Jeremy that he understood why he couldn't tell them what he knew because it implicated his mom. And, then, the big scenes involving Hotch, Prentiss, and Reid. Reid's interrogation of Jeremy. Hotch slow build up on intensity and disgust when he gets the uncle to admit to molesting Katie (please watch that anyone who says Hotch doesn't have or show emotion). And, finally, Prentiss figuring out the aunt was the unsub and her building up to the intense attack on her. And, people felt it was a cop out that Katie didn't die, but I feel it was an extremely poignant and not at all perfectly happy ending. (Not that happy is bad, just that this episode is much more complex than people give it credit for) I saw a broken family that would take a long time to heal and wouldn't ever completely. A father who knew that his brother - his twin, even- had molested his daughter. A little girl who would have a long way to go to heal. And, for me, the saddest, Jeremy. Seeing both his parents arrested, knowing that his mother tried to kill his cousin. Not knowing what would happen to him. And, I loved the use of music at the end. It also had one of the most devastating scenes, but one that was so simple. The image of the father watching his brother being put into the squad car. No hysterics, or screaming, they didn't even talk to each other. But, the expression on his face was just so beaten and defeated. The episode just hits me emotionally all over the place, and that emotional connection is my criteria for a great episode.

My very favorite comes at the beginning and end of each show. I love the quotes they do each time. I find them so insightful! So very applicable to each episode, it always leaves me wondering what came first the quote or the story.I also really enjoyed the episode with the torture-killer mob guy, although I don't know the name of it. At the end, once they capture him, and Hotch is interviewing him.... the exchange they have really moved me, as well as gave insight into Hotch's personality. When he told the guy he knew how he had been severly abused by his parents, and that he understood him, you knew Hotch grew up abused as well. But unlike the unsub, he grew up to catch the killers, rather than become one of the killers. If anyone knows the episode I'm referring to, please let me know, K?

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE TITLE OF THE EPISODE WAS CALLED BUT IT WAS THE ONE WHEN AT THE END GARCIA GETS SHOT. IT THAT ONE WAS SO GOOD. THE TEAM GOES INTO THE PARK AND DOES A VOLUNTEER S&R GROUP BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE UNSUB WILL BE THERE. WELL, THE UNSUB WAS THERE BUT NOT AS ONE OF THE SEARCH VOLUNTEERS, HE WAS THE ONE SERVING THE VOLUNTEERS THE SOUP. AND IN THE END, WE FIND OUT THAT HE PUT ON OF THE VICTUMS IN SOUP HE SERVED.

My very favourite episode is probably Elephant memory....I just love Reid, and I hadn´t got easy time on high school either...I specially love the scene when Hotch realizes, that Reid knew all the time about what the kid is going to do....but generally I really like all episodes when you feel sorry for the UnSub, like episodes True night or In heat or even the two episodes, when the UnSub took Reid. It always get me thinking what would happend to me when i went though some bad moments

I loved the Revalation episodes where Reid was taken by one of the teams UnSubs and was given drugs. I was so sad afterward when he relied on drug dependance . I have the biggest crush on Reid and i was so freaked that he would die in that episode but they rarely take off main charecters. The Boogeyman and then she was back in the season finale, No Way Out 2. The first was The Boogeyman, where her character, Tracy Bell became one of my favorite guest stars ever. Eight year old girl about to get killed by a murderous little boy who's swinging at her with a baseball bat, and she kicks him in the shin and runs
. I like it when the females fight back. And, it's just especially cool when the female is only 8.

The Big Game/Revelations (which I count as one since it was a two parter). I loved the way that Emily very subtly took care of JJ. The way that she seemed to be the only one that treated JJ like an FBI Agent rather than some civilian that was in the way. Everyone else either ignored her completely or just told her to go rest, like she was too fragile to deal with the job. Though, I do have to say that I hold a good deal of love for the wardrobe department in this episode, Emily's blouse at the bar and the black suit later on. Very nice. Anyway, back on point, it was one of the earliest examples of Emily's incredible heart. She was there for JJ without making her feel weak or as if she blamed JJ for Reid getting taken. Instead she let JJ help them try to get Reid back.

Currently watching Red Dragon on USA. Which reminds me, they should have Anthony Hopkins as an Unsub. Anyways, too many great episodes to choose (thought the last two, Angel Maker and Minimal Loss, were both excellent). Agree with what LuvtheJEm said about Revelations, the interactions between JJ and Emily were good (but I have too many issues with that episode for it to make the favorite list). It was good, but it wasn't anywhere near the best, at least in my opinion.

My favorite one is: Machismo, where the team goes to Mexico. And they found out that the Unsub is a man that wears womens cloths. Like I said in the other forums. Mexico's police departments don't do anything to stop crimes. They don't do anything about nothing. Just waiting for the people to give them money for a coke. Well the point is that the victims (by the way women) get together kill the unsub and its there that the governer of the state realizes that there really was a serial killer. The funny thing was that when they went to get the unsub he had the body of his mother in the sofa "watching tv." What I like is that they didn't wait for the police to take action but they took it in their own hands. That's what really happens in Mexico.

I watched Machismo on A&E a couple of weeks ago. I had seen the ending before, but that was the first time that I caught the whole episode. Pretty good episode, but it doesn't make my favorite list (there are just too many great ones). On a side note, after watching Hannibal and Red Dragon today, I have decided that Silence of the Lambs crushes them both! They weren't bad, but it is hard to compare to Silence, which is probably my all-time favorite movie. Also watched some Final Destination movies on TNT, but they are coming on against next Saturday, so I'll watch them all then.

Forget the Emmy's, they have no eye for talent. If I was involved in CM, then I would be insulted by an Emmy nomination.I originally started watching the show because I heard it was good and because profiling it very intriguing. But once you start watching, the cast is so good that you get addicted. So addicted that you start thinking of the characters as real people, and start wanting to know all about them. It isn't the only reason why I watch, but I do like to learn about the characters (their pasts, why they are the way they are, etc.).

What do you mean theyve no eye for talent??!! And it doesnt even have to be the show that gets an emmy, the actors can get one too. But if this show had no talent, the show wouldnt be any good. If the show had no talent, then the cast wouldnt be any good. just because you would be insulted by an emmy nomination... i dont think the shows crew would be insulted by an emmy at all. An emmy is an icon of achievement and success. I think theyd be honored to recieve an emmy. But no one that ive ever met since 2005 loves and knows Criminal Minds like i do. Im not saying that nobody does, but this show is my saviour and those actors are my extreme idols. I know those actors, and those writers. Trust me, theyd totally be up for an emmy. And btw, every good actor are the ones that make you believe they arent acting, that theyre real people. Theres alot of them out there...but yeah, i agree, these actors are amazing... i just wish they got more credit.

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

I was referring to the Emmy's having no eye for talent, not CM (CM has plenty of eye for talent). I'm sorry, but when shows like Grey's Anatomy, Lost, and Gossip Girl win award after award, I just don't see what they see I guess. As for the cast, part of the reason that I like them is that they seem to do the job because they love it, not for recognition and fame. Part of the reason that they are great at acting, it is a lot easier to work hard when you are doing something you love. And they get plenty of recognition from all of the devoted CM fans, which they are always very gracious for in interviews. My favorite things about the cast is that they seem so normal, they don't act like they are better than anyone else just because they made it to Hollywood. It is refreshing to see intelligent actors that do their jobs well and then live their lives like everyone else does. So, in case I wasn't clear before, I was taking a shot at the Emmy's (and any other reward show, for that matter, since I really don't like any of them), not CM.

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

The only reason why I watched the Emmys this year was because Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert were up for awards. As for Heigle, I don't know a lot about her and didn't no that she pulled her name, but I'll take your word for it. Good for her. Here's how I see it, the Emmys awards shows that focus on shallow things (most of these shows are on ABC, for some odd reason). So, if the Emmys nominate a show (this is my opinion, by the way, so don't yell at me if you disagree), it is almost an insult because it is like saying that you are down to their low standards. Intelligent shows like CM don't even get nominated (probably has to do with the Emmys not being smart enough to understand the greatness of the show). In fact, there is only a couple of awards given out to crime dramas, and it is always one of the CSIs or Law and Orders (because those are the most popular crime shows when it comes to fan bases). I'm sorry that I don't see a point in Survivor, Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives, among others, but I don't (and yet, those are the shows that get award after award). So as far as I'm concerned, the cast and crew are doing exactly what they should be doing, which is showing lots of love to their devoted fans by thanking them in interviews and coming out with great episodes instead of worrying about the stupid Emmys. As for the boards, I'm not having too much trouble, even though it did keep on moving to the top of the window a little while earlier (so then it stopped, so no big deal).

I love award shows (except the music ones - unless you count the Tony's, which I also love). I'm a total junkie for them. But, I do think there are some silly reasons why Criminal Minds isn't recognized. For one thing, it's a crime show, and a lot of critics and people who vote on the awards look down on crime dramas. Network crime dramas, mainly. They figure it's just the 500th version of the same old thing -crime committed, cast comes and solves crime and rattles off things about evidence or profiles, in this case. That crime dramas don't require anyone to actually write good stories (the belief that people will watch no matter what, because those of us who do have no discerning taste), and that the characters are all cookie cutter without any personalities. And, that view (from the award people and critics) is especially true of CBS shows. I think the only reason Law and Order and the spin offs are an exception is that Emmy's are more comfortable with sticking to the usual. L&O got in before the turn around in opinion of crime shows. Back in the 80's/90's law shows and crime shows were just as likely to be nominated as "character dramas" (even though I see every show as a character drama). And, it's a lot easier to win if you've won before. Or to get nominated. And, Criminal Minds had the misfortune of coming in way after the tide turned on how crime shows were viewed. And, it's not flashy. Which I like, but is another reason it doesn't get noticed. I wouldn't rule out that some of the people voting actually believe that the shows they nominate and vote for are good (and I do think season 1 of Grey's Anatomy was good), but it's true that awards have pretty much always been about other things besides talent or even their personal views of talent. So, I think I'm a junkie who's also aware of the flaws in what I'm addicted to.

Anyway, it is all based on opinion. The teams, or in the Emmy's case shows, with the most prestige are higher rated and get more votes (prestige coming from winning games/awards). It is all based off opinions from certain voters who notice the more prestigious things and ignore the rest, so it is very hard to become noticed.

I don't understand why they think Lost is so original. It's Gilligan's Island with a supernatural twist, just substitute a plane crash for a boat crash and there you go. Instant hit. Of all those people, no one can get a cell signal? Has anyone tried crafting a coconut phone yet? I do have to agree that the first season of GA was rather good. It started slipping in the second season and in the third season it just completely lost me. I don't watch soap operas, daytime or nighttime. Which is why I was never a fan of Desperate Housewives. I heard that Mad Men won for best show or whatever, but why wasn't The Wire even nominated? I've never seen it but I hear nothing but great things about it. I have noticed that they tend to get in an award giving rut. For years they gave the best show award to either West Wing or The Sopranos, even when both shows had clearly declined. Until those voters get some taste in television I will continue skipping it.The award show that irritates me by ignoring CM is the SAG awards. They're voted on by people who are supposed to have better sense. They are supposed to recognize great scripts and great acting and yet they too ignore CM. What is wrong with people?

Once again, it is a prestige thing. At least CM isn't alone in the struggle, though, there are a lot of other good crime dramas that get very little recognition. I don't think it bothers the cast, because they knew coming in that acting in a crime drama just doesn't get you a lot of recognition, at least in the media, any more.

My minds going blank, I may have to look at some recaps and get back to you on that (sorry, long week, not a lot of examples off the top of my head). I thought that the Unsubs in Minimal Loss and Angel Maker were both very complex. My point is that it is ok to have an episode that focuses a lot on one character, but it would still be nice to have an interesting Unsub/case (and they have managed to do that before). Some of the better episodes, like Revelations, focused on one character and still did a solid job developing the Unsub. My point is that you don't want to forget to develop the Unsub because you are focusing on one character too much (not saying that CM has really done this, I'm just saying that that could happen relatively easily, if you get too caught up in one character). I just don't like episodes with Unsubs that are boring, like Frank (I don't know why he was on two episodes, their was nothing special about him at all). I don't want the Unsub to be dull, and I would like to come away feeling that I know a tiny bit more about profiling/psychology than I did before (and if I can learn more about the characters at the same time, then even better).

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

Well, to me, the show has never done anything to make me worry that they'll forget that the show is about crime (which I find a simplistic definition and not the full extent of what the show is about) because of the focus on the characters. Any time you see them at home, it's either after a case has been finished and we've watched them investigate it or we see them at home (or out somewhere) because a case is about to interrupt their time. But, every episode there's always been a crime and an unsub. Everything we learned about their personal lives ties in some way to the job. Anyway, the episodes mentioned as being about the characters (Penelope, The Fisher King, Profiler, Profiled) were about the jobs. Yes, we saw Garcia's apartment and she got a boyfriend. She also got shot in the first place because of what she does for a living and they profiled a guy with a hero homicide complex. The Fisher King (I assume both parts) had scenes of the team at home/vacation but it's only because their vacation was cut short by a case. We found out that Elle's dad was killed when she was a kid and Reid's mom has Schizophrenia, but this info came out through the working of a case. And, yeah, Profiler, Profiled is focusing completely on Morgan. But, only because Morgan was accused of a crime. And, this time, they concentrate their profiling on the character we know is innocent, but victimology is also a part of their jobs. And, from my view, this show doesn't come close to being a soap opera. (And, I've actually heard people say that, although I haven't said anyone on this thread has) To me, soap opera isn't a show that focuses on characters. When everyone on the team is sleeping with everyone else, and they're all switching partners and cheating on each other, and there's a lot of melodrama and betrayal and backstabbing (and not from the unsubs) - only then does a show deserve to be labeled soap opera.

I know a lot of people love them, but it wore on my nerves. I picked up watching it near the end of this last season for the Callica storyline only. Hopefully, it won't get messed up.

Yeah, the only things that kept me coming back in season two of GA were the Izzie/Addy moments. Ah, yes, you speak of the holy trinity: Revelations, Penelope and Children of the Dark. The blatant clothes sharing also made for squeeable goodness. I can't wait for AJ to come back from maternity leave so we can get some of our adorable scenes back.

YES!!! Children of the Dark! That's it! The clothes swapping's great, but I'll just be glad to get JJ out of frumpy maternity clothes.

I think he was great in this episode. I watched this past weeks episode on CTV which must have been a repeat because of the elections here in Canada. Mr. Mantegna was not in this episode and was not among the opening credits. I don't recall the name of the episode but it took place in Oregon and a psychiatrist was offing newcomers to the area who were suffering from various fears. Also the members of the team seemed to be upset because apparently someone from the team had apparently left without notice, except for Reid who for some reason received a note from him. May I say that the actor that plays Reid is a cutie pie. A question if I may, what is an unsub?

bessie_mae wrote: Well, to me, the show has never done anything to make me worry that they'll forget that the show is about crime (which I find a simplistic definition and not the full extent of what the show is about) because of the focus on the characters. Any time you see them at home, it's either after a case has been finished and we've watched them investigate it or we see them at home (or out somewhere) because a case is about to interrupt their time. But, every episode there's always been a crime and an unsub. Everything we learned about their personal lives ties in some way to the job.

My main thing is that there have been other shows that have forgotten about the purpose of their shows. I make fun of the writers for focusing on Reid a lot, but they are excellent at their jobs and I don't think that they will forget the purpose. I guess in other words, I'm saying that the writers of CM are better than that of most other shows. As for soap opera, I think that is what happened to Grey's Anatomy (I'm basing that opinion off of commericials and clips, since I never actually watched the show), but I don't think CM is anywhere near soap. CM is true to its genre, and it just keeps getting better!

It is another word for the suspect. I know what episode you are referring to, it was very good. The guy that left was Gideon, who was played by Mandy Patinkin. He was a legend in the BAU, but his girlfriend had recently been killed by an Unsub and he just couldn't take it anymore, so he went soul searching. Mantegna took his place as another legend in the BAU, David Rossi, who decided to come back to the BAU from early retirement to take care of unfinished business (a case that hadn't been solved for twenty-one years).

Yeah revelations a very good episodes its one of my favorites. But it won't make my top ten! LOL. Welcome to the boards Tonnerre123. You can tell that I am a big fan of Hotch. The episode you are talking about is Scared to Death. The unsub is killing his patients by their biggest fear. Much people here don't like Rossi because he entered in the show very fast and his like very cold person like his heart made of stone.I am answering to Bessie's and Falcon's message about the soap opera. I think that CM is not based on a melodrama. It's not like, "I am going to kill you." Or "why did you do it to me? You went behind my back and cheated me." No, it has their stories of the characters but somehow it is based on the storyline. What I like about Penelope. Is that when Penelope wasn't talking about something and why the attacker wanted her dead. Rossi and Hotch were about to get into hysterics because she wasn't talking and you could tell that Rossi already had melted his heart towards the team. But i like when he told her: "Look at me at eyes and don't look at them." From the time Hotch and Rossi were outside they were both fuming. Hotch was holding his anger. You could tell it in his face. I like this episode too because of JJ how she didn't blink an eye to kill him and at the end when Penelope said to her "I didn't want you to go through this" What was JJ answer: "You do whatever you have to do to protect your family." I was speechless.

Told ya JJ was tough! LOL!I don't think that it is a soap opera at all, I'm just saying that there are other shows that have gone from being good to being melodramatic (I'll probably take some flack for this, but I think that CSI would be an example of that). CSI is still decent, but they focus more on personal stuff now than they do on their job.

Penelope.Garcia and Morgan are the BEST! Their friendship and flirtation carries many episodes along. I love them so much...when Morgan said, in this yrs season opener, "Garcia, you are the God given solace in my head"I was balling. The more they dig into the personal relationships of the primary characters, the better the show becomes.Heck, I should write for them! But seriously. I know what to run with here...keep it comin' writers...more personal dialogue. More Garcia too, clearly the team IS her family. In many ways, they all are each others' family. BAU is their whole life. I LOVE this program. Love the addition of Prentise too - she rocked on HUFF.

Diva-- I have to agree, Paget Brewster was amazing in Huff. And the only thing that makes me glad the show got canceled is that CM was able to scoop her up. Do you know if they're ever planning to release Season Two on DVD? I've not seen it yet and I soooo want to know what happened.Falcon-- I'll go there and say that CSI is closing in on soap opera status. Though it's not as bad as Miami. I had to stop watching when it seemed that we couldn't go a week without someone's personal life dropping trau in the middle of work. As if Horatio wasn't bad enough alone, that irritating Marisol woman kept showing up with some sort of issue. The war with the Mala Noches, the vengence trip to Brazil, the dead but not dead brother...it just goes on and on. Ugh. Thank God that CM isn't showing any such inclination. I would have to cry.

That is the Horatio Affect (or effect, I don't know which). Anyway, the only ep. of Miami I watched recently was the premiere, because I was excited to watch Horatio go down once and for all, but then it turned out that he was like Jack Baur and faked his own death. That alone is way to soap operaish for me. Definitely sticking with CM, and don't understand how so many people can even stand watching Miami.

I did like Jones. Just having a female Unsub was interesting (since they are rare), and I actually enjoyed Will's character. Saw a lot of different things out of him, from a sense of humor, to an interest in JJ, to bravery and smarts at the end when he manages to stop the Unsub from killing the guy without taking her out. It would take a lot of composure to pull that off, and probably some training too (training that local detectives might not have, but I'm not sure about that).

Welcome to the boards! Yes, the United States and Canada just started off Season 4 about a month ago. I think the episode with Owen was Season 3, so you aren't too far behind. However, if you don't like spoilers for future episodes then you might want to be careful about which comments you read, since a lot of them will give away info on episodes that we've already seen but you probably haven't.

yea ive learnt my lesson!! but im too much a fan to keep away from CM sites!!! i new about Penelopes shootings way before it screened. Season 3 is just about finished here and the tv broadcasters are trying to catch up with America becuase it has proved a great hit NZ after the second series. we have had CM non stop for ovr a year now (61 weeks), a first for any international show. After they played Season 2 they replayed Season 1 and they played Season 3, so mayb they will carry on with Season 4 (fingers crossed).

Well, of course you can come but you will run the risks of spoilers. That ruins the episode for some, but others don't care. One thing that I wouldn't do is click on any recaps that you haven't seen, because that is going to tell you most of what happened in the episode. If they continue to show it week after week, and then go straight to season 4, then you should catch up by the end of this season (in the U.S., the show takes a week off sometimes because CBS wants to show something else, so that would allow you to catch up in NZ if you take the opportunity to). I think it is pretty cool that CM is so popular internationally, not just in the U.S.

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

Well. First off, I own all three seasons, I can watch each episode time and time again because Criminal Minds is my favourite show, and I love every episode. But I have to say. Reid is my favourite character, and the season 2 episode "Revelations" is my all time favourite CM episode. That and the season 3 finale, "Lo-Fi". "Revelations" is my favourite because it proverbially dipped our toes into the water about Reid. There are other episodes, scattered throughout the seasons, where we learn bits and pieces of Reid, but I think that "Revelations" really started to delve deeper into who Reid really is, how he got here and why. It was one of those things where it didn't have to say much to show a lot, you know ? We got a couple of flashbacks into Reid's past with his mother, and it showed how he felt about sending his mother to a center (I believe it was a center. I want to say rehab, but I don't believe it was technically that?). This episode really touched me, because seeing someone like Reid so vulnerable and open like that was just a hard experience. You really grow with the characters, you know ? And even though Reid has that cute, young attitude about him, along with an air of poise and knowledge that most people don't have; you tend to forget how young he really is, and how he's just a kid, out there in a completely disgusting and inhumane field. I think we really yearn for the episodes that let us see the weaker sides of the characters, because even though they try to show strength and confidence in every case, we know that they really are deeply affected by each one. Every day they act calm, focused and organized. But in reality, we know that they're fumbled, confused and searching. So back to the point. "Revelations" really showed Reid's weaker side, the one that's affected by life. And since he's my favourite character, I kind of like episodes that revolve around him. We all see Reid as this highly intellectual, meticulous youth who has more going for him than most people. But I think we don't see the destruction and chaos that lies behind that painted exterior. "Revelations" also lead into Reid's drug habit, which was his way of coping with the guilt for sending his mother off, and other problems I'm positive we weren't told of. Anyway. That's a little hard to follow, I think, but I'm not sure how to really word any of it. I've grown so attached to these characters, that seeing them in those situations really affects you. "Revelations" is an episode that I've watched countless time, yet I can continue to watch again and again. It never stops having that effect on me. And with "Lo-Fi"... The ending was brutal. Seriously. How can you leave us like that ? That was pure torture. But I love to go over the episode again and again, watching and observing and scrutinizing to see if I can make out who was in the SUV that blew up (even though I already know, now). And I love that they showed a case where the team had no idea who was doing it, where the information was constantly leading to more questions and less answers. We never have that; in the end, the team always gets it, and while that's a good thing, I think that sometimes we need a little bit of angst and drama, both from and with the characters.Either way. The team has become like a second family to me, and I constantly wait impatiently to see them again every week (even though I can see them any time I want). <3

I'm not sure what my favorite episode was, but my favorite interchange was a scene at the end of the episode where a girl is kidnapped and her father -- a former mobster -- goes after the kidnapper with a shotgun. The father has the shotgun trained on the kidnapper, and his daughter is screaming at him to shoot. Meanwhile, Reid shows up and tries to talk the father down. After a few minutes of the usual talk-down tactics, Reid reminds the father of his murderous past and asks him, "When is the violence going to end?"The camera cuts to a close-up of the father's face. "Tomorrow," he says. We hear a shotgun blast and the screen goes black.

I'm surprised the Fisher King hasn't been mentioned more. I really found that episode intriguing, and even a bit of a departure from the normal unsub chase. Despite the fact that Elle was still on the show (sorry, I'm afraid I absolutely can't stand Lola Glaudini), I was really caught up in watching the whole thing develop and unfold.Of course the fan faves, such as Revelations, are fantastic. But I really like The Fisher King because it was very well written, and was a bit of a departure from the typical script of crime -> profile -> capture.Don't get me wrong, CM is among my top few shows on tv that I take time to watch. It's been one of my favorites for many years. But after watching The Fisher King, I actually wrote a letter to CBS telling them how good I thought it was.And interestingly enough, the episode Machismo was probably my least favorite episode ever. There have been a few weak ones (hey, nobody anywhere bats 1000%), but that one is at the very bottom of the list of episodes I'd watch on rerun. And my media center catches them all on rerun.

Just watched Part I of the Fisher King on A&E last Friday (Part II will be on tomorrow, 11:00 Eastern time), and I really liked the first twenty minutes, when the team was on vacation. It was kind of cool to see what the profilers do on their off time, even if it didn't last long. The rest of the episode was also good, looking forward to Part II tomorrow.

Profiler, Profiled was an excellent episode. It was great that they delved into Morgan, to show that he's much more than the gorgeous brawn in the BAU. Shemar Moore was brilliant in the episode. He played scared and defensive so very well, didn't he? It was actually kind of painful to watch Morgan forced to expose his secrets like that. Wonderful episode. They really do need to explore Morgan more thoroughly. He's a very complex character that's too often overlooked because he's so seemingly happy-go-lucky.

Profiler, Profiled was a very good episode, although it took a couple of rewatches to appreciate for me. But, minority opinion on it. The cop who arrested Morgan was practically every negative thing people have said, but I don't think he was racist. He had it in for Morgan, and I could see Morgan and his family assuming that it must be because Morgan is black. But, the cop seemed to have a very high opinion of Carl Buford (and remember, no one, not even Morgan's family really knew the truth about Buford. They all thought he was a neighborhood hero). He also seemed to be very upset about the murder of the young black boys. His negative attitude was concentrated only on Morgan, which made him wrong and jumping to dangerous conclusions, but doesn't make him racist. To me, anyway, but I realize I'm in the minority with this opinion.

I agree, which is why I avoided the racist comment. I think he arrested Morgan because Morgan had a criminal record when he was a kid, and apparently the cop held a grudge on him and couldn't accept that Morgan could change. I don't think that him coming to that conclusion had anything to do with Morgan being black. But he was still a dirtbag that ate too many doughnuts, no doubt about that.

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

My favorite episode is from Season 1, called "Compulsion". A college had experienced 3 fires where other students were burned. Gideon (I miss him) saw a video taken inside one victim's apartment. The victim's roommate was running his video cam as the incident took place. Gideon noticed that the door knob was turned 3 times then the fire was started at the door. He began to notice clues about the fires that came in 3s. It turns out that one student at the school had survived a terrible fire when she was 15 and was told that God had tested her by fire and she passed. She had a mental breakdown and came to believe that she was doing God's work by testing others by fire. She actually had a "split mind". One part of her brain didn't know what she was doing. This episode was frightening in it's simplicity. It's very well written and compelling and I can watch it over and over.

I wish I had known that A&E was showing it in syndication, I would have been able to catch the whole first season, all the way back to episode 1 (they started season 2 last Friday, with the Fisher King Part II). Unfortunately, FOX took one of his (a great show called Justice, absolutely loved it) and cancelled it half way through season one. That just appeared to be the lawyer show curse, though, as the only successful lawyer show of late has been Law and Order, which is half cop show anyway. Justice, Close to Home, and Shark were all very good legal dramas that got cancelled (don't know why, just bad ratings I guess). And what replaces them? Reality and game shows.

Basically any episode where there "supposedly" in Seattle, Washington. Because I live near there. And we've had terrible crimes it's kinda the thrill part for me I guess. And in the first season with the CIA the JJ and Garcia moments were hilarious.

Yeah, marley_emo, the JJ/Garcia scenes were hilarious. Especially when the CIA guys were leaving, JJ was acting like it was fun chillin' with 'em and everything, and then called them jerks as soon as they left. People are so busy talking about Morgan/Garcia, but JJ/Garcia is also very funny when they are trapped in Garcia's cubby.

My favorite episode is Revelations [2.15] because it was a very contraversial episode. It changed the show. I, like a_crmnl_mind, have the biggest crush on Reid and I almost cried at different points during the show. I also love Morgan and know that Reid needs someone like him to be an "older brother" figure that he can turn to if he needs to talk. One thing that the writers need to do is give Reisd a girlfriend.

But......even if I had more TV options, this would remain my favorite show of all! I can't say which episode I liked the best, because they are all good! Since I'm a big fan of Garcia, I guess the ones featuring her would be my very favorites......followed by the ones featuring Reid.....another favorite character. I must admit that the cannibal episode (where the dude fed the woman to the volunteers) is right up there as well

Welcome to the boards, you three! The Fisher King (parts 1 and 2) would probably make my lists of top episodes. LDSK was very good. I like both of those because of the uniqueness of the Unsubs and the uniqueness of how the episode was set up (for example, the Fisher King started off with the team on vacation, something we had never seen before). Other ones that I like are Riding the Lightning, North Mammon, and Penelope (like those because JJ had some a solid role in all three). Season 4 has probably been my favorite so far. Season 3 was my least favorite. I liked Season 2 a little better than 1 just because JJ got a lot more screen time (I don't think they developed her character enough in Season 1). It is a great show, though, the best show on TV in my opinion (so I like all the episode, and can't really pick a favorite).

first off i would like to say that a mistake was made in one of the posts. in compulsion it was not Gideon that noticed the threes and figured it out it was Reid. i remember b/c it was my second favorite episode.my number1 actually hasn't been mentioned. it was Sex Birth Death from season two i believe. i loved the young kid that reached out to Reid. it was the first time i felt for a non-permanant character on such a level. i wanted to weep for him(just can't remember the kids name). when he was with the hooker then tried to kill himself and left Reid's card i think it was more of an apology to him. when the kid was begging Reid to let him die and Reid was crying trying to save him i was balling. i think they should bring the kid back as a good guy. like i don't know he gets somewhat better, Reid or someone Reid cares about is in trouble and the kid shows up to save the day to thank him.i don't know i just LOVE that kid. the actor does an AMAZING job.okay i've rambled enough.....it's going to drive me nuts does anyone remember that kids name? it's been a very hard week and it's going to bug me.....lol

first off i would like to thank you for the telling me the movie the actor was in. i am going to start looking for it. i REALLY appreciate iti think the character should come back. I love that he realized what he was/could be, didn't like it and tried to get help. When the hooker said you don't have to do this and he said he had to, i think it may have been ' i need to die.' i think it's been a couple of years so he could be better. i mean who better to help with an unsub than someone who was actually almost an unsub. it's just my opinion but my mother and i have always loved the kid and would love to see him back. maybe showing Reid he did a good thing(he questioned Gideon if he did the right thing in saving him) would give him some of the confidence a lot of us(i love Reid but GROW A PAIR) feel he desperately needs.

I liked that Spencers mother was flown in to help in the case. So that is my favourite. I watch however episodes over and over again that contain lots of Spencer...

Welcome to the boards, unsubnl. Fisher King part 1 and 2 is an excellent choice, I really loved both parts of that episode! Really liked the first twenty minutes, when we saw what they did on vacation. Also, the little tidbits about what they used to collect. JJ's butterflies (she apparently remembered species, since she knew what type of butterfly was sent to her right off the top of her head), Gideon's baseball cards, etc. And the Unsub was very intriguing. Great episode!

Hi!I can't remember the title of the episode, only in French (it wan "Requiem") or the season but it is the one with the couple of serial killers. He was named Jacob and has an intersting scene of playing cards with Hotch and JJ. I can't remember her name but she preferred dying instead of telling the truth to her son, who has been adopted. The climax of the episode was the scence where she was outisde and staring at the moonlight while the profilers were looking in her cell. She knew she would die and she was in peace, she in fact chose to die.

It is called "Riding the Lightning," aud. Loved that episode, it was different from many of the episodes and JJ really had a chance to show her toughness and courage. Heck, she actually got to play a little bad/daring cop. That dude was a creep, but she stayed cool and collected. Some fans believe that she cheated in the card game, but I don't know a ton about how to cheat at cards, so I don't know. It was pretty early in season 1, though, so it was one of the first episodes that JJ got some decent scenes. The mother was a touching story, she wasn't a scumbag like her husband. Great choice, aud!

The one that jumps out in my mind the most is the very first episode I saw.... and I only remember pieces of it, as I haven't seen it since.Does anyone remember the title of the episode where the two guys were hunting people with crossbows? They started out with the one girl that they were chasing, and they ended up killing nearly everyone that she came in contact with! By the end of the show, the girl had climbed a tree with a pocketknife and managed to jump onto one of the hunters and stab him. That show was brutal. That show was also the reason I started watching CM. I couldn't tell you why. I guess it's because they just blatantly showed the most ill images I have ever seen on TV. Cadavers dripping blood from tree limbs, wounded people being chased and hunted like animals - it was that type of sick that you just can't turn away from.

That one pretty much takes the favorite cake right now, and probably always will. I know there are other episodes that have been good.. exceptionally good... but it's hard to top that first show!Kinda like Saturday Night Live... you know, how the first SNL cast that you watch will always be the one that is the best group together? No matter what cast has come before or since, that first cast that you see is the one that gets you hooked on the show. That episode is the one that got me hooked on the show. Does that make sense?

I don't know what the episode was called, you guys! I'm writing this from memory... and, like I said, it's not exactly and eidetic one! (That is my cool vocab word... I will use it until it annoys everyone! j/k)Open Season, the Big Game, The Most Dangerous Game... my brain does this bizarre classification thing occasionally... the link in the name vs. the link in the theme... and I come out on the most befuddled side of the whole mess!

No harm, no foul, drivel. I have problems with the names quite a bit, too, I didn't even pay attention to them until late season 3 (after I got on here). They probably have a recap of "Big Game" on here, might help you remember. I understand the confusion between the two. I think all of our heads are dangerous places. LOL! The Big Game was the first episode in a two-parter. The second part, Revelations, was the episode that Reid was tortured by an Unsub named Tobias. The Unsub had three personalities, and was shot by Reid at the end of the show. The Unsub had been giving him drugs, and he formed an addiction that was dealt with later on. Do you remember any of it now?

Probably not.And I remember Garcia getting really upset watching him being tortured, Reid giving JVDB's character Hotch's name as being the next to die, lots and lots of Biblical references (which was the way Hotch found Reid... I think), and finally JJ saying something about not separating anymore ever...Did I get that one kinda right?

****Bridget stretches, yawns, prepares the mind for CM/CSI NY night, followed by ten hours of intense typing/creating/writing****M y favorite episodes and why:#1. Seven Seconds. This is the first episode I watched in its entirety, and it captured me from the first moment. Prentiss's character especially. She showed such a great amount of depth and...well, secrets that it made my writer-heart pound. Very well-written character IMHO.#2. Minimal Loss. For the same reason. I thought Prentiss showed great character in that entire episode.#3. 52 Pickup--it was hilarious! the way Emily played Viper/Paul plus Jordan adding that extra bit of a kick to his male ego--priceless!#4. Angel Maker. It was a simple, straightforward episode that followed a standard show format. As someone who is currently experimenting with scriptwriting/screenplay writing, this was an excellent example of the show's format (Hey! I'm a writer--I tend to see things differently than most viewers, just bear with me!!! )#5. Scared to Death. Something about the UNSUB using people's deepest fears against them--and him telling Hotch that Hotch's biggest fear was that he couldn't save everybody got to me. Even though I feel that Hotch's biggest fear is losing control of himself.and finally, #6. The Crossing. For two reasons. A) the way Emily talks the UNSUB/Stalker down and then Morgan jumps him, and B) because the big yellow dog "Brody" is a Labrador/St. Bernard hybrid named Jeb in real life--and my Labrador/St. Bernard hybrid named Justice (they're called Labrenards, BTW) looks just like him--and is currently sleeping on my foot! (Totally arbitrary reasoning, of course!)NOW---I have forty-three minutes to write another chapter of my romantic suspense novel(s).

I am punishing myself for procrastination (that whole writing fanfiction in order to AVOID writing my romantic suspense novels thing I do). I am NOT allowed to write any fanfiction until I finish TWO chapters of the novel(s). I have a February deadline of 225000 words and am only at 66000--so it's one chapter for both novels, followed by a fanfic chapter. As for the Crossing--I liked it because the stalker case was a good case for JJ and Em to solve together. The boys were just incidental. And I liked the dog Looks just like mine. As for 52 Pickup, I don't think JJ's character is...cocky...enough to have tweaked Viper in quite the same way. Of course, I understand you don't like Jordan...so... And yep. I'm going for ten straight hours of non-stop creativity on the novels...if I can just figure out the profile of one of my bad guys...will probably do that during commercials...work it out on paper before beginning to type it.

That's right. I liked The Crossing because it was a JJ episode, lots of good stuff with her (and Emily, they work well together). The skepticism of Morgan is just a little pet peeve of mine.Possibly... but she did well when her, Emily, and Garcia ganged up on the Brad the "FBI agent." I think JJ has a bit of a dark side, we just haven't been allowed to see it much yet. Of course, it is probably just my dislike of Todd. Loved today's episode, partly because Todd the toad only reared her ugly head for maybe two minutes. I say, give her the screen time that JJ had in season one. Act like she doesn't even exist. JJ didn't deserve that, of course, but Todd is better when she is invisible.Sounds like you got a plan to work on that novel. Keep me posted, your writing is fun to read.

Lorcan and Brockman stood at his left. The rest of the teams were arranged strategically throughout the conference room. Three dozen additional field agents had been brought in. --This is a preliminary profile. Odds are good it will change as we gather more information, but we need everyone to know what we are expecting to find.--	Georgie stepped closer to his side, drawing everyones attention at her movement. The field agents murmured, most recognizing her as the agent whos ward was the latest victim. Hell saw a mix of embarrassment and sympathy and determination on the field agents’ faces. One of their own had been touched by this monster, and most of the local agents were aware of it. Hellbrook was glad—it could only be a good thing in helping to find Matthew. Georgies voice was firm when she spoke.--This man is one who does not stand out. In anything. Hes Caucasian. Most likely in his thirties. The neighborhoods he targets consist mostly of families, and most of those families have parents who waited until their late twenties, early thirties to have children. Most are working parents, career-focused. That left plenty of children for him to choose from—most taken were in the care of baby-sitters or caretakers other than their parents.--

falcon-121 wrote: I like it! It grabs your attention without talking you to death. How much of the novel have you actually written so far (or how much do you think you have left, whichever)?

On the first one "Watching" I am on page 223 (47000 words) out of around 420 (125000). It's back cover blurb will read something like this "Georgie Dennis put her heart and soul into her job with the Complex Crimes Unit--an elite team with the St. Louis division of the FBI--but her boss, Unit creator Michael Hellbrook, refuses to see it. He hates her father, and feels nepotism got Georgie where she is. But then an old enemy of his targets the team--Georgie in particular--and Hell must put aside his differences with the younger profiler, in order to keep them both alive....yada yada yada..." Hell’s irritation was evident in his sigh as he peered over the edge down at his wayward agent. “Dammit, Dennis! You could have waited for my order!” He yelled down at her. She’d reached the halfway point, sliding a little, and he started after her. It wasn’t as easy a climb for the larger man that it had been for the petite woman. She was like a damned mountain goat or gazelle, picking her way down the rocky embankment. Hell cursed as he stumbled down the last few feet. “She could have climbed out, sir.” Georgie said, one hand rising to shield her eyes from the sun. “Why didn’t she?”“She wasn’t drugged.” Hell said, mimicking her actions. “Estimated time of death was late afternoon the day after disappearance.”“So did he stone her to death while she was down here, or did he do it up there and drop her body down here?” Georgie asked, though Hell knew she wasn’t actually speaking to him. They were rhetorical questions she’d have to work out for herself as the case progressed. On the second one (I usually write two or more at a time to alleviate boredom) "Wanting" I am on page 103 (21000) of about 420 (125000). Wanting is a sequel of Watching. In it, Carrie Sparks (Sparkie), the mildly autistic computer genius tech for Hellbrook's team, and SSA Sebastian Lorcan (leader of another team/unit in the same division, team up to find a missing teenage girl. What they don't realize is that an enemy from Carrie's past is chasing her, trying to steal a valuable piece of computer code she created. Here's a piece of it... “Why are you here?” She repeated her question, and he wondered if it was just her customary speech pattern, or if it was a product of her own annoyance at his intrusion. “Two days ago, this little girl ran away from home.” He pulled a small picture out of his pants pocket. She took it from him warily. “Her mother called a friend of mine. Who called me.” “And the police have nothing?” Carrie asked softly. “She’s fourteen, and has caused trouble before. Frankly, I don’t think they’re looking that hard.” “So why can’t your team help you?” She returned the picture to him, and turned to look out the window at the arch. “Why me?” AND my FAVORITE part so far: Lorcan fought. Silently, even desperately, but no matter which way he turned, someone was always there to block his options. Before he could resist the tall beefy one--the one who'd panted all over Sparks--had his arms stretched over his head. Two booted feet--from two different owners--hit his ribs from opposing sides. They pummeled him. They’d obviously beat the shit out of people before. They were damned skilled at it.

I'd be glad to look at it for you again...and I will offer you one valuable piece of advice. This advice was what I was given my very first fiction class many many moons ago..."Don't worry about getting it right , just get it written ."Don't put too much thought into it. Just write--as fast as you can. On the first draft, anyway. That draft should be the basic story. The fleshing it out can come later. Or just jump around. Sometimes, I will get a flash of a perfect scene, or perfect line of dialogue, and I'll write that scene, and tag it at the end of the manuscript. Then I'll ask myself what happens next or what happens before--until I fill in any gaps. Just remember, writing should first and foremost be for....dunh dunh...dunh!!! FUN. If it's not fun, don't do it. Then it becomes a chore. Of course, true writers are also disciplined, too. It took me nearly ten years to get in the habit of being able to write daily. But now that I am, I can sit down and write anywhere and any time You just need to figure out what works for you. PS>>>>>> Those little blurbs I gave you from my novel(s) were from midway through! There is much much more...just for fun---here's another of my favorites: Carrie's house gets broke into! (I'll put it in a reply to this...because of space limitations...)

Lorcan knew that he wanted to touch her, so he did. There was no one there to stop him, or to care. And he’d continue to do it, as long as she didn’t mind. He left his hand right where it was until his cell phone rang. He grabbed the phone quickly and identified himself. “Dammit, Lorcan, what the hell do you think you’re doing?” Hellbrook’s voice rang through the line. “Driving,” Lorcan’s hackles immediately rose at the other unit chief’s tone. “What of it?” “Do you have Carrie?” Hellbrook’s tone was slightly calmer. Lorcan felt a surge of protectiveness well. “Why?” “Just tell me whether you have my agent.” There was now fear in the other man’s voice and it had Lorcan’s attention sharpening. He pulled the vehicle to the side of the road, ignoring the traffic whizzing by. Carrie never stirred. “I have her.” Lorcan admitted after a short moment. “Why?” “Thank God.” The relief in Hellbrook’s voice was almost palpable enough to reach through the cell line. Lorcan killed the engine, but left the emergency lights on to prevent anyone from rear-ending their vehicle in the dark rain. “Hellbrook, start explaining. What’s going down?” “Carrie’s apartment was broken into and all we had to go on was one phone call to the unit asking for information to be forwarded to Carrie’s email. We were worried she was home when it happened.” Cell service was strong wherever they were and Lorcan had no trouble hearing the censor—and curiosity—in the slightly older man’s voice. “When did it happen? We left yesterday morning around nine. Everything was fine, then.” Lorcan said. “Not sure, probably sometime last night.” Hellbrook paused for a moment. “Let me speak with her.” “No. She’s sleeping, and I don’t want to just spring this on her. Let me tell her. Give her time to get it together before we get there.” “And when will you be bringing my field agent back?” Lorcan definitely didn’t miss the meaning behind Hellbrook’s words. He knew there would be a confrontation in the near future with Carrie’s supervisor. He almost looked forward to the challenge—there were few men he’d met in St. Louis whom he’d consider worthy opponents for anything, and Michael Hellbrook was one of them. (and this is the last snippet you can have through a public b-board Whahahahahaaha...I am going to go write now!

That's why I needed that piece of advice so many moons ago. I think gaining confidence in my writing has helped me as well. As far as Lorcan goes...hmmm....Lorcan is a primitive man---he feels, he reacts. It's served him well through through the years. He knows his capabilities, and he knows his weaknesses. He is not always liked. Hellbrook is more of an analytical character...Hellbrook is more like Hotch, to use a character we are all familiar with! Lorcan isn't like any of the CM characters. Lorcan is...primal. He acts on his instincts...Probably more like NCIS's Gibbs without the military discipline, with a bit of Ziva's deadliness thrown in. he's also not as...ethical...as Hotch or Morgan. He's willing to bend things to suit his ends (though these ends are almost always honorable) He's a darker character than Hellbrook.Carrie is most similiar to Garcia, with a bit of McGee (NCIS), and a bit of Sara (CSI), mixed with her own uniqueness. She is highly sensitive to touch/sensation, lights, etc. She is relatively incapable of dishonesty. She and Lorcan are a good balance. He sees her as a capable being--not to be overprotected or overlooked. She sees him as someone who understands her. She is mildly autistic, and as such, sees and feels things differently than most. Lorcan gets that. Here I go, rambling...when I should be writing....or reading my crit partner's first chappy...

I like all the characters, loveprentiss, but some are more likeable than others. I liked Elle, but I agree, Emily is better. You could probably look her up on imdb, see if she has any upcoming projects or anything. It isn't the most reliable site, but it usually gives good info on the filmography of actors/actresses. Some of the stuff that they are in is surprising. For example, she was in an episode of Crossing Jordan before she came on CM (I've seen the episode, it was very good). Kind of fun to watch them in other roles, ya know?

I mean JJ and Garcia together are always hilarious--and JJ's the only person Garcia let's eat or drink in her office. I liked the Katie Cole character too, especially since she was one of the first profilers---I wonder if they'll bring her back now that Rossi--the original of the original BAU members--is back on the team?

limegreen93 wrote: I mean JJ and Garcia together are always hilarious--and JJ's the only person Garcia let's eat or drink in her office.

That has me thinking. I wouldn't want it to be a regular thing, but I'd like at least one more episode where JJ works a case from Quantico, like she did in P911, or No Way Out. I mean, I'd want them to show a lot of scenes from back there, so it wouldn't mean giving her less screen time, her screen time would just be from the BAU. Because I like when JJ and Garcia share screen time, and with Garcia back at her office and JJ on a plane, they never get the chance anymore. Only snippets. So, just one case where they don't need their liaison right there on location, but she and Garcia are the wonder twins back at the office. Or, they could do something like Lessons Learned, where the team is split up in three different groups, so it won't be like JJ's the only one who stays behind. Or one that takes place in DC, so none of them would have to travel. But, JJ would still spend a lot of time in the episode with Garcia.

I liked the Katie Cole character too, especially since she was one of the first profilers---I wonder if they'll bring her back now that Rossi--the original of the original BAU members--is back on the team?

I wouldn't mind seeing Katie Cole again.

My favorite episode is when everyone finds out JJ is pregnant. Her boy friend comes to see her all the way from louisiana. He comes because he's worried about her working on a case and being pregnant. The subject comes up that they may have to raise the baby long distance because neither wants to give up their jobs and move because they have worked so hard in their jobs to advanced themselves. When she gets back to the hotel, the desk people give her her boyfriends badge and other things from his job showing her that he can give up his job for her and the baby.

Nearly anything before Joe Mantegna joined the cast. Sadly, tonight I crossed Criminal Minds off my list and I won't be watching anymore. Since Mantegna was brought on board we get No Derek, No Hotch, No Dr. Reid, No Garcia, et al. No character interaction, no in-depth into the unsubs, just Rossi. I enjoyed the show because I cared about the characters (yes, I know it's fiction), and when Mandy Patinkin left it was still good (the original group carried the show very well alone). Now it's Mantegna's show and it's no longer interesting. Hey, at least A&E is showing the first few seasons if I need a "fix". I'd complain to the network, but who listens to disappointed fans?
Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

My favorites used to be from the earlier seasons, but this season has changed that with two fantastic episodes. My new favorite is "Omnivore", followed very closely by "Minimal Loss". . Omnivore - It took such a toll on everyone, physically and emotionally. Especially Morgan and Hotch. I love it any time Hotch gets emotional. It happens so rarely, that when it does come out you know just how deep the feelings go. It really showed how much he cares for every victim, and how it tore at him to think, even for a moment, that it may have been his fault they were killed. And in the end, when they think they can put everything to rest...the guy escapes! That's gonna have some implications!!! . Minimal Loss - I love this one because it showed how far the team will go to protect each other. When Emily was beaten, they all wanted to storm the compound immediately, but she told them not to...she could take the beating for the team...in this case, to protect Reid in particular. That's when I finally started really liking her character. Seeing how much it affected Hotch, Morgan, and Rossi to just sit there and do nothing was heartbreaking. And later, when Hotch couldn't go in during the raid...that just got me. Excellent stuff. Oh! And when Hotch got into the politician's face and threatened to charge him with either obstruction of justice or neglegent homicide, and then yelled at him to get off his crime scene! YOU GO HOTCH!!!!!!

Re:What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

I really like the episode where Garcia gets shot and all the interaction between her and Morgan.

I also really like an episode in the 1st series when Gideon stays in Quantico and keeps annoying Garcia (I think it is Blood Hungry) ... I think in the next episode Hotch sends her flowers and pretends they are from Gideon, but he has already sent her a gift ... I think I just like any part of an episode which has Garcia in.

I just watched In Name and Blood, which i thought was really good and a little disturbing how the guy used his child to lure the women and also for Garcia's comment to Strauss when she calls.

What was your All-time favorite episode? and Why?

While not my absolute favorite (Omnivore still reigns), I have to say that the most recent ep, "Roadkill" definitely stood out for me. Finally, we got our team dynamic back! And everyone had good screen time. We even got some Garcia and Kevin time...where's he been??? The humor was back...even Rossi made a funny! This ep reminded me of old times. It was as good as the season 2 stuff.
