Hi--one of my favorites is when the redhead pulls up to pick up Gibbs and McGee asks who she is and Ithink it's Tony who replies "not a clue." That went right over my head as I didn't realize that she isactually Sean's Mother. Also love the way that DP gave his daughter & son recurring roles on the show too.Even Chas. Floyd's wife has a walk-on cameo in "Yankee White." Tony's father disinherits him just as MW'sfather does him. Tony jokes about his chances of hooking up with Jessica Alba. Abby's fake website ismydarkangel.com. I don't always get the references the first time around unless they are as blatant asthe Ted Bundy/U.N.C.L.E. stuff but it's sure fun to look for them!

Discovered "NCIS" late last summer when I could take NO more "Law and Order" reruns !! Absolutely love it!!! One of the best ensemble casts ever assembled, IMO. Even hubby has become a follower. He doesn't have much choice since I record and watch so many episodes. I'm certainly not as knowledgeable as many of you are. I did know Kate was killed as I've seen that episode several times (and dread what's coming). Of course, she's back to life almost every evening with reruns. The character of Ziva is fine, though. Does anyone know why Kate left? Or Jen? Or do they just like killing off characters now and then? Bought the soundtrack today and not bad! Had to go to three stores before finding it in stock. I even purchased a few Seasons DVDs to get the timeline straight on the characters. I am a JAG fan and remembered LJ Gibbs in a few episodes. My Tuesday evenings were usually reserved for laundry and a long walk but now I enjoy my Tuesday evenings even more now that I have new episodes of NCIS to look forward to watching. I also enjoy catching up on old story lines on USA network. I am glad to see LJ Gibbs getting better dialogue this season. It seemed parts of Season 4 and 5 he pretty much just gave the "stare," raised his eyebrows, slight smirk, a few words, and an occasional raised voice. He was getting a little boring and everyone else had the better dialogue. I see the writers are turning that around. I like all the characters and can't wait to see what happens next or what tiny tidbit of past history will be revealed.

newbie here! just got the first few seasons of NCIS dvds, but the suround sound thingy doesn't work right. can't see them so am very glad that my hubby and i can watch three episodes m-f and don't miss. i here there is going to be a spin off, i hope that this is going to be as great as this NCIS. It took till the end of the week before it really sunk in that there was one character that kept changing on me - Kate, Ziva, Ziva, Kate. USA doesn't play them in order during the three hours. It seems two or three seasons are running at a time, driving me crazy. So I had to go get the DVD's. I had to know what was going on - in order! This was more than to ease my mind because I failed to tell my sisters why I haven't watched much TV in the last 5 years. When I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, a show I want to write for the show. Because that it what my non-stop creative brain does. Five years ago I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED a show and wasn't able to get through to the producers. Sooo, here I am again obsessed with one of DB's shows again! Everything a show should be. Just like I would do. DB out did himself this time, though, because this is the first time in all my years of TV viewing (46) that I LOVE all the main characters. I could not do without one. Always before I would have one favorite character: Fonzie, Magnum, Remington!!!!,Data, Harm, you get the idea. Anyone out there feel the sameway? Also, Mark Harmon has always been in my radar. Well, back to my writing. Now that I'm obsessed with watching the show, I must write episodes during the week till a new one is out. Then the process repeats itself. I believe that by now Ihave seen most of the older episodes but you never know every once in a while one will pop up and surprise me.I really loved Kate's character, cried when she was killed at the end of that season. But I have to admit that Zeva hasgrown on me and I really enjoy watching her with the rest of the team. I believe howthey brought her into the show, you remember,she actually saved Gibbs' life by shooting her own brother, was genus! For her to begin working with the NCIS team she already was trusted by Gibbs which is not an easy task to accomplish, lol.

Let's just hope they keep NCIS on the air for a very long time or we may riot! Haveyouevernoticed, the writers tend to bring in a little about the reality of today and I think that is why we feel a part of the show. Sometimes, when I watch back to back re-runs on USA, I totally am in the moment and part of the team investigating. They mention the real war of today, presidents and even 9-11 and that is what makes it so real to me.

The only thing that bothers me is that my head hurts from watching poor Tony being slapped on the side of the head so much........lol

My hubby and I are also new fans. We're trying to catch up and having a great time doing it, between the weekly show on CBS and all the reruns on ION, USA, and Spike. But it does make one a bit crazy trying to get them in the right order. Consequently, I guess, the more crazier I got, the less interested SHE got into NCIS and now her new craze is House.. yuck. (Even though I like House, I don't approve of House >NCIS).

But fortunately, I was able to get one of more other good friends into NCIS and she loooooves it. I try to help her catch up on all the good eppys by watching them with her online. Yesterday I showed her "Twilight" and her heart stopped. Can't wait to show her Kill Ari Pt 1 and 2.

Nothing else was on so I decided to watch NCIS. And I am glad I did in a way, but know I am kinda obssessed with it. I started TIVOing it on USA and ION and I was staying up till about 5 in the morning to watch the recorded episodes after I got home from work at 10 p.m. And then I went and purchased seasons 1 - 4 and watched them all. One day I watched from 9 a.m until 11 p.m. (I didn't have work that day) I watched all of this seasons episodes on CBS.com. I am just trying to find season 5 in a local store..(Kinda hard I live in the sticks). (I am actually only about 10 miles from where "Gibbs" is supposed to be from.) . But I am glad to be a new fan of NCIS and can't wait for the next new episode....

Welcome! I too have chronic hip/back pain, and on those nights I can't sleep (which is most nights) I watch NCIS! Huzzah! I love NCIS! I've been hooked from the second season, but have watched every episode at least twice. If not many more. lol. Welcome to the obsession!

What I like about the show:

**Mark Harmon has evolved. In the beginning episodes he was loud and too "act-y". Now he's settled down a bit and is better. Needless to say, Harmon is a hottie--even better looking than when he was younger.

**David McCallum is terrific. I adore his character and the way he interacts with Mr Palmer, Abby and his mother. I'd love to know if the character was written for him . . or how exactly he was offered the part.

**Sean Murray is wonderful at playing a mix of nervousness, capability and wanting to be "one of the guys."

**The character of Abby is delightful. Idon't want to know too much about the actress who plays her, because I'm sure she'll disappoint me.

**The guy who plays Fornell is absolutely the best!Never have seen him before, but he's JUST like all the civil servants I've ever known: dedicated but tired and worn down. Bravo!

What I don't like about the show:

**DeNozzo. Come on . . .he's semi funny but grow up already. He never seems to learn anything

**The sexual tension between DeNozzo and Kate and/or Ziva. The Tension between Bart Simpson and Mrs Krabapple is more exciting (yawn.)

**The Director/Gibbs thing. Leave Gibbs the hell alone . . . he's OURboy. Jenney Sheppared's not good enough for him!!
