I just assume that whenever we don't see Michael and Lauren at home, that means they are at work.It is common TV kid practice that the little ones are heard of and not seen. The exception to that were the Olsen Twins' part on Full House. That's why the show hired both of them. They needed more face time with the camera, so each kid maxed out her hours to make the character more believable.But we know Y&R pioneered the kid goes to boarding school/camp/their room and comes back 13 years older. It started with Nick and Victoria and the latest casualty is Nick's son!! Next time we see Abbey, she'll be 30 years old!! What do you want to bet that Summer, Fen and Reed will be back next month as 5 year olds?As for the living quarters, I've been watching the show since it started and I have only seen the upstairs of the Chancellor Mansion about five times that I can remember. Been upstairs at the Abbott Estate once or twice. Great post! It's about time somebody gets it! Lots of stuff happens behind the scenes. Just because we don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Soaps are all about little snapshots in people's lives that the viewers get to watch and listen to. I remember a discussion months ago about Jack being a bad parent because we never see him talking with Kyle. It was the dumbest discussion! How boring would that be if they showed us scenes of that? John Abbott is NOT Jill's father, he is her ex-husband. Jill's father was a man Katherine had an affair with when she was married to her husband before Phillip. He was away and she had an affair, conceived Jill, and gave her up for adoption before her husband came back. I forget where he was.

Pretty bad, huh? But there were times that storylines were picked up and then just dropped for no reason for a while, which only added to the confusion for fans...Arthur Hendricks, who was a judge for many years, is Jill's biological father, kimrobs. Katherine was asked to go out with her friend, Charlotte Ramsey, on the town while her first husband, Gary Peters, was in Europe with Brock. Kay got pregnant by Gary's golfing buddy, Arthur, and Charlotte, to help protect Katherine and her identity, took the child and said that she was the biological mother when she dropped it off at the adoption services. Kevin and Jana break into the house while Noah is there with Eden, he calls Sharon, Brad and she head over to rescue the kids, perhaps get into a nasty car accident (they happen frequently on the show) or maybe Brad's car is wired to be bombed and, before Sharon gets in, he turns the key and "ka-blooey!" throwing her clear but injured. K/J get away with the money but Nick hears about Sharon and Brad and rushes to Sharon's bedside at the hospital, which upsets Phyllis and Jack, both who overhear that Nick will never leave Sharon's bedside. Yeah, that sounds good...Yeah, Jill's blow her chances with Kay, but only if Kay gets her full facilities back to where she knows exactly why Jill is so upset and throwing her out, If not, then Gloria is going to have a major field day with all that she's going to put in that poor woman's head!Daniel and Amber, unfortunately, are getting ready for the leaving of Michael Graziadei, who plays Daniel, in March. The real Marge Cotroke was arrested after Katherine was released the last time they met (Katherine and Esther were kidnapped) and, although Marge wasn't sent to prison, she was arrested. They should have her fingerprints on file, if nothing else! The writers have evidentally been so blessed as to never have had a loved one in jail and therefore know nothing about how a real jail works.......................No thing, NOTHING is realistic. First of all you don't just come and go at pleasure. You sign in.....go thru a search or scan and visit with bars or glass between you and talk through a small opening or a phone. Visits are one on one...........not with a group in a recreation room. And, most glaringly obvious: inmates do not get to visit one another. When Victor was in jail it was if the guards were his personal assistants to summond whomever he wanted to visit next.......be it a fellow prisoner or the D A's office employees. Wolfy,You're right on! Katherine will rise above this and will come out of this just fine. I think they will find her memory issues will improve after they find out what is going on with her medically. She's got to respond to a treatment or surgery. I too am hopeful she will remember Clint in time and escape his clutches. I also don't think you were surprised when the writers decided to further bleed the story line by including Esther and Roger either. After all, it sure does sound like another rerun of the past for Katherine and Esther both. But I don't mind because I just love Jeanne Cooper. I can see her fiesty self taking Clint by surprise and playing out the role of Marge to get back at him after her memory returns. It is great seeing Katherine having a S/L that isn't so focused on everyone else! (Even though it is really rediculous how much mileage the writers are getting out of this!) I'm also loving her romance with Murphy. They make a great couple. For once, I would love to see her happy....for a very long time! What I don't get is what is the delay with the DNA reports, for goodness sakes!

MS is the original Phyliss, but Sandra Nelson played her for a couple of years, then MS returned. The original Colleen was last seen on Desperate Housewives as Catherines daughter. (Lyndsy Fonseca).

No new set has been created, not even kay's pool party today. that is the same one the newmans and abbotts have. same set up. and lauren's boutique is way bigger thana bedroom. I think they tore down mike's office set to make room for daniel and amber's/kevin and jana's place they show. all the sets are all used. with budgets being so damned tight, do you think they really have the money for this when they have to ask top cast members to take pay cuts and placed on re accuring status and outfits being shown constantly? they have to tighten their belts as well...... if you want mike to have an office why dont you buid them one lol....(said in a joking tone not nasty tone.)

Michael's office went soon after that. Chantal and Paul's secretary Lynn were both victims of cast cutbacks. Paul's office went before that when he supposedly lost his lease and began sharing office space with Michael. Mary William's house (Paul's childhood home)also hasn't been seen in years as well as the Colonnade Room, the GC Hotel where Jill and Lauren both used to live in luxury suites. I have noticed that the Jabot set was revamped somewhat when a reception area was added outside the Executive offices the same time they started using full-length shots of actors as they walked across sets (New camera angles was the only positive thing LML added to the show--prior to that, I never used to know that anyone had feet or wore shoes!!)

Oh and for the record, the GCAC actually had seasonal sets for summer--a pool and outdoor basketball court. But I've noticed that they haven't used either one of those for the past two summers.

The old loft where Mac, Raul, Kevin and JT and Brittany Hodges once lived was recycled into the Restless Style offices. I don't remember exactly, but I think the story was that Nick bought the building. At that time, Kevin, Jana, Daniel and Amber moved into an apartment in the same building as Michael and Lauren's apartment.

Please folks don't complain about the sets..Just enjoy the great SLs I remember when the viewers complained about the GL set and that is when they started the 'OUTSIDE" scenes and this was the beginning of the end for GL..The SLs went to the devil after that.
