Re:Hot Topic: Dallas and Star

My question would be: What business is it of the CBS administration? Aren't we, the fans, supposed to be generating topics? Could it be that CBS is manipulating the footage we see for ratings? I think this is really strange. I'll add: Why is this a hot topic? Because CBS says so. Really, you guys at TAR and producers, you need to understand what people want to see. I would add that the Survivor people are in the same boat. By that I mean, they are out of touch with reality and what the average person is interested in.We want characters. We are not interested in Hollywood types, good looking, athletic people. We want people of substance, no matter what age they are. Cases in point: Rupert and Yau Man. The Hippies. None of them are good looking, leading men. Hey, there are plenty of characters out there if you go beyond how they look!

I keep wishing they would have a Survivor location that is COLD so people couldn't be showing off their bodies all the time. However, I think it would be a cute twist if there's a romance going on. Especially since the two possible lovers are so cute!

Re:Hot Topic: Dallas and Star

Why is CBS generating topics, to reach out to viewers to expand the consumer base in order to keep the show on the air. I do not mind this one bit, these gossipy tidbits are the reason many people tune into shows, Project Runway even tried to go back into their episodes to pull out the budding romance of two designers who now live together.Any my take on the topic you ask, well you didn't but I will mention. If they did start somethign after the race, I wonder how weird it is to see your girlfriend white lying to you and your mom. I thought that today, as we continually hear about the lying Nick and Starr do the the other teams, Not exactly a great way to blossom a romance!

CBS-Admin2:TAR is not about couples hooking up. Please give TAR fans more credit than that, otherwise we would be watching Survivor and the crap show big brother.
Hot Topic: Dallas and Star

I have a suggestion for the amazing race editing department next episode for me add the harp in the background music whenever dallas and starr are seen together and change show's name to the amazing matchmaker i like amazing race cos its not who wants to date blah reality show it feels like amazing race producers are ordained by God to make matches like when they selected eric and danielle for amazing race all-stars cos they started dating in amazing race they forgot they parted ways when they left the race, I guess their target audience is cbs remember after amazing race 7 dating couple rob and amber's marriage was also telecasted, lets hope they keep the amazing race about the amazing race around the world, not lovebirds!!

the more u guys say how u think cbs is wrong in trying to get people to talk about it, the more cbs gets what they want, people to come to their website and give their opinions on things they see in the shows that they watched. so if u son't like it don't talk about it.personally i don't think that cbs is doing anything wrong, i think they have the right, it is happening on TAR, their show. and its not under the control of cbs how the racers fell about each other. the racers signed up for the show knowing that lots of people are going to see it. if they didn't want people in their private lives, they should have stayed at home.

I don't think the relationship (if it can be called even that) was mentioned at all in tonight's episode, was it? (I tuned in late)...not too surprising, since with Toni and Dallas' elimination it's a moot point.Sadly, Dallas and Starr don't even get to see eachother again at the Finish Line in Portland, since Dallas and his mom were (at that time) still stuck in Moscow.Anyone know how long the post-show dating relationship from TAR 12 (Azaria and Christina, as I recall) lasted?

Hot Topic: Dallas and Star

Response to the above lucky13tarJust a side note - Phil is a New Zealander - not an Aussie. I am an Aussie and when his dad was on the show, you definitely knew he was a Kiwi and not from Australia. But, admittedly, it is hard to tell the accents apart unless you are very familiar with them. But being an Aussie I just had to clear that up for others, if at all they are interested, and probably are not.Having said that, Nick and Starr drive me crazy. Even though Ken and Tina, especially Tina with her pushiness, get to me with their bickering, I want to see them beat Nick and Starr so bad. The frat boys are there just by pure luck. No other way to describe it. My favorite of the four teams was Toni and Dallas, and they were the nicest. I felt so bad for them. Now we are left with these three teams and now my favorite team is gone, I say - GO TEAM TINA AND KEN!

toni and dallas were my favorites too, but i think that nick and star are the team that has had the most success and they are kinder to each other than the other two teams, they are very good when they work together and sometimes they are even unstoppable. So even though i think they could have interacted better with other teams i guess i want them to win. the frat boys should have gone home along time ago. ken and tina need to learn how to work together b/c their arguing hold them back. they were doing so much better when they didn't fight as much. (until the taxi problem)

I was still a little surprised that they didn't mention anything about it at the end of the show, not even a simple "Toni and Dallas, who lost their money and passports in Moscow during the 10th leg of the race, were unable to make it to the finale in Portland, but DID make it back to the U.S. ___ days later." If they're going to all the effort to have people like (or dislike) the teams in the Race -- after all, if we didn't care, we wouldn't be watching, right? -- they could have voice-overed the credits for ten little seconds to reassure the fans of that particular team.
