I've read a lot of comments about Bob trying to convince Corinne that he didn't dupe them. And even the previews for next week support that. Corinne is only one vote at next TC so I don't know that I'd really care what she thinks. Is this simply to win Corinne's and Randy's votes if he makes it to F2? If I were on the jury I'd see it as a brilliant play to stay in the game, not a backstab that would cost him my vote. Bob could explain that it was either him or Randy going home so he had to do what he could to save himself. That's good game playing! (She says comfortably from her living room chair.)

I don't think that basing your like or disappointment in people on dealing with Randy is at all reasonable. His rudeness is far beyond threshold level and he knew it and instead of trying to be human he decided to be vindictive for the loss of Marcus. This lie about him understanding it's a game was just that...a lie. He was voting out Suzie because she had a hand in getting rid of Marcus. Him getting mad at the cookie had more to do with him wanting to be mad because he just wanted to goad Sugar.

He has no justification for anything he has done on this show. Everything he has done and had suffered through was created by him.

Him stating he was Dan's friend was funny in that one episode and totally random to add here....but I still can't believe he dropped that lie so seriously.

I do think they edited out some of Sugar talking and planning with Bob. The preview for next week showed them talking again and Bob showing Sugar the idol that Marcus gave him. Did anyone see that?

And I don't think that Sugar was the one to "mastermind" the idea to play it. Bob already knew the ways his fake idol could be "played", and just needed some support with how it would play out. And who better than Sugar, one of his original tribemates, someone who could perhaps be swayed to work with him both with the idols and in a potential alliance?

If Sugar makes it to the final 2 she will gain votes for the work she did last night to bring Randy down a few notches. In my opinion....

Even with no redeeming qualities, he's still a person. Humiliation is not only stupid (it guarantees she's not getting his vote), it's also cruel. I think you are right. There really is no justification in real life to humiliate another person. It's not very constructive in changed negative behaviours. So in real life I'm with you humiliation tactics are stupid and immature. As for calling Sugar a kid... regardless of her age she does act very childlike in a lot of endearing ways... to me at least. Guess my own age is showing.... lol. And the little pigtails don't hurt in the portrayal either.

If he was smart in the game he would have sided with Sugar to get rid of Randy when she said it. Why? Because that would have saved HIM from going and anyone else. And because Corin and Charlie couldn't see past what they WANTED...they are paying for it. You do not play this game with the idea that who you are aligned with keep making it. You play this game from tribal to tribal and if it means you have to vote someone off you were aligned with to get further than you are at that moment, then by all means you better do it. This has been Marcus, Charlie and now Randy's failure. They couldn't see past their alliance and they got booted. Marcus had TWO chances to get ride of Suzie and instead decided to try and dupe Chrystal into playing with him via their connection. Didn't work. You cant, also, think you are smarter than everyone else and then continue to come off that way. it doesn't work. Which is why Randy is gone.....Sugar's humiliation of Randy was the one mean thing she did to him and he deserved it. He did many mean and rude things to lots of people and they did not get him back until that moment and that would include Matty, Ken, Bob and Suzie. Did you see how Randy talked to Suzie? Did she return the same venom comments? Nope. Not even during tribal council. I don't take anything personal with Survivor because I love it. I love it because it's the best Reality show and I love it when people state it's just a game and then get upset that their aligned person is gone (Corin, Randy and Charlie) and I love it that people think the show shows characters instead of the true people. I don't see characters....I see how they truly are. That is the person they hide in the real world.....if you can't get along with them in the game of Survivor you most likely will not get along with them off the game.

So far Mrs. only Bob & Sugar know the "Truth" behind the fake idol. Why would Bob tell anyone else? And Sugar (I believe) learned her lesson about telling anything when she told Ace about her HII. Half way through the show, I was thinking about fast forwarding to the end. I was hoping to have been surprised to see that Bob found another real HI and gave it to Randy in addition to the fake one. What's with Bob telling Sugar about the fake idol? Everyone is so underestimating her in the game. She takes all the bits of information given to her and uses it to her advantage. I think she is really using her skills as an actress to play the dumb blonde. I think every time she cries, she does it for strategy and it is working.

Ah, but you presume that Randy will know that Sugar had ANYTHING to do with Bob giving him the fake idol. Depends on who asks what questions at the final TC. Heck, Randy and Corinne cooked up the 'Bob will give Randy the idol' plan when Bob was still at Exile. They apparently thought Sugar wouldn't be able to find it even with the huge amount of time she had to search and that Bob surely would find it because he is smart. Corinne went to Bob to put the plan into action. In effect, Randy ASKED Bob for the idol. It isn't like Bob went to him and had to work to get him to take the fake idol. Randy was drooling. Randy and Corinne never managed to think that 1) Sugar spent half the show at exile and probably found the idol. 2) Bob would just hand the thing over because he is a nice guy. Sorry, but if I were in Bob's shoes and actually HAD found the idol, I'm not so sure I would give it to Randy to save my weak alliance of 3 against 5. He isn't exactly on their BFF list. Even if the plan down as expected, the following TC would STILL be 4 against 3 and Bob would potentially be on the block. Anyone else notice that in all the Randy and Corinne talks, Bob's name didn't even come up in the 'final 3 discussion'? What WOULD be fun: IF there were 2 HIIs, one in each alliance and BOTH were pulled by the other alliance at the same TC.To the best of my knowledge, the contestants know that there is only one HII in play at a time as part of the 'rules of the game'. So even though Bob told Sugar he went around the pond twice and couldn't find it (as if he just COULDN'T find it), I have to think that in the back of his mind, he has suspicions that Sugar has it. I'm thinking along the same lines Jackie. - Bob was so far out in the Onion Alliance that after the switch, he was replaced with Randy. Instead of keeping a solid ally, they bring in a wingnut. No love between Bob and Corinne, but he can use her.- Sugar and Corinne were never friendly but Sugar can use her for the moment.- Sugar doesn't trust Ken after the Ace thing, though he was right about the EVENTUAL result of her alliance with Ace. She won't mind getting rid of Ken and probably knows she NEEDS to.- Matty is not sure of his position in the groups. I think Sugar and Bob could convince him to break up the Crystal/Ken alliance, especially if Sugar uses the "YOU warned me about Ken, we need to get rid of him" line.So, my guess for the next 3 episodes:1) Sugar (the leader), Bob and Matty team with (any port in a storm) Corinne to boot Ken or Crystal. Susie is not even important any more. I would expect the Ken/Crystal alliance to assume they still have Susie, Matty and Sugar and will go for either Bob, or Corinne depending on who doesn't win the IC. According to a Sugar video clip at the CBS website, she said that she, Ken and Crystal are in a sub-alliance AND Matty and Susie are in another one. As a result, I don't think Sugar will vote out Crystal nor do I think Matty will vote out Susie. According to a Matty video clip, he said that he wants to take out Ken and Crystal, but he's willing to stick with the 5 (Ken, Crystal, Sugar, Matty and Susie) until he does something like that. What he doesn't realize is that he doesn't have the numbers to do it. If all goes according to plan, I think Ken, Crystal and Sugar will take out Matty first and then Susie. We may be seeing Ken, Crystal and Sugar as the Final 3.

That was just plan good comic relief for her while getting back at a bully. Whatever redeeming qualities Randy may or may not have he is a bully. Editing my have highlighted his bullying but they didn't created it. And I for one don't mind seeing a bully taken down. Especially by a women and especially without resorting to his brand of lateral-violence. Humiliated... perhaps but he earned it. 2) Since the first time someone snuck into someone's personal belonging to search for an idol I've determined there is no honour in survivor. I remember my jaw dropping and getting all indignant about how 'unfair' that was. I learned from then that there are no boundaries in Survivor so long as you can find a way to justify your actions at the final tribal council. If Sugar makes it to the final 2 she will gain votes for the work she did last night to bring Randy down a few notches. In my opinion....

I have to agree 100% about bullying! And I dont' agree with Fox that Randy didn't deserve some type of retort to his behavior. There is nothing any of the others that comes close to Randy's childish ,rude and uncalled for behavior. And that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

My thoughts exactly! That could potentially be a good strategy for Sugar. Wonder if she'll end up doing that or staying with the old Fang alliance, looking to who would be in the jury-- she might get more votes with Bob and Matty in the jury than being in a F3 against them with Ken/Crystal/Susie in the jury.

It's just trimming for the broadcast. If you watch the Secret Scene videos and the replays on the web, you see that in the confessionals the players tend to say the very same things again and again. The producers just take the most dramatic footage or splice out a lot of incidental yammerin' between the good stuff. Corinne could have gone off about how he hates Suzie for 5 minutes and then came back to talking about the other alliance. I guess they are just taking care of everyone else first. They could have tried to flush it out though because they have gotten enough of the other tribe out.

Hi Jenni - Your post just put a CRAZY idea into my head. WHAT IF we see yet another "Survivor First" in that they decide NOT to go after the person with the HII at all ? I know that sounds totally far fetched, but we've seen some pretty crazy stuff already. :0)

Um....in the Ponderosa videos Randy practically has a beet bottle glued to his hand in every scene. Charlie comments that Randy talked about beer all the time in camp and said it was what he missed the most. At the big beach picnic the first thing Randy jumped at was the beer and again he never let go of the bottle the whole time, even when Marcus tossed the HII, Randy is boozing it out in the waves. And when he's not drinking he's cranky and hates everyone. Sound like an alcoholic, anyone?

What she did was not backstabing. But it exists in the game and if you can't see it....well maybe you should read the dictionary again.

Another reason that All-Star versions are bad. These people know each other before the show starts. It's not a fair competition to have two (or more) friends on the same show. But, still, in the context of the game, it wasn't a backstabbing. In the context of life outside the game, maybe so.

Good example, but this one's better: Dreamz and Yau. I give you a new truck, you give me Immunity. Deal. Ha! Fooled you!That was backstab, not blindside. It also happened to be (somewhat) good for Dreamz' chances in the game.

That was smart playing, not backstabbing. Nobody else was going to win against Yau. If Dreamz wanted a shot at the million, he had no choice but to vote out Yau.

Maril, - Bob was fibbing, suggesting a 'scenario' to Corinne in that preview! - Marcus never kept the II, and buried it. It looks like Bob is just trying to buy some time and garner some favour while still left in the game with Corinne,... Corinne could still win II next eppy. He also voted for Susie, to throw off Randy and Corinne. It's just a temporary (very temp. if Corinne goes next) move on Bob's part.Some of us had even suspected that Randy, being Randy... had swiped the Idol that day on the beach, whether Marcus knew about it or not. However, I know Randy's personality would not have let him keep quiet for long... IF he'd had it. And, had Marcus buried it, well - they left that beach later to not return again. That particular II's out of play.And this, people, is another reason I can't stand the HII's, and Exile. Deceit has nothing to do with fair. They are not hand in hand. Meaning it can still be deceitful and fair. Deceit has nothing to do with fair. They are not hand in hand. Meaning it can still be deceitful and fair.

Does not mean that it's right and therefore those that are upset can be upset rightfully so.

Trying to down play deceit as wrong or as not in existence in the game is true telling of your own character.

T-Bird, You and I are in agreement about Bob not showing much of his strategy. I am hoping the best of Bob is yet to come. Several threads are messed up! For awhile CBS was allowing anonymous posts (i.e. posters that did not have to be signed in) on the message board. I know that this is one of the options for many of the MB formats. They turned off this feature again now and it looks like the anonymous posts have been removed. However the MB still thinks the post count for the thread includes the removed posts so there are "blank" pages at the end of several threads. A question for you or anyone. Yep, Band the PM button has been here since the MB was put up! Of course "In the begining" (and every once & awhile now) we get sent to the Big Brother Site for some reason.For the last couple of days I've been having trouble with the posts stretching way over into that band of ads on the right side.Also, sometimes I can use my IM when I'm on the MB and other times it will close down both!Also, while I'm typing in the message body & want to change the color of the text the cursor goes up to the top before I want it too!Weird

I wrote my thoughts in another post. They showed Bob talking to Sugar about the idol Marcus gave him. It could be true. I would have taken it and used it the next tribal. It least I would have been safe for one more. I think Bob knows he would have her vote anyway. He needs to find a way to make Randy think he didn't know the idol he gave him was fake. That also means he needs to keep Sugar there with him because she knows he knew it was fake and that he made it himself. I think they have a 2 person alliance that we have not seen them make. We never saw Tina and Colby and they had one so secret even Jeff didn't see it. it would have been crazy and stupid for Bob to give Randy the idol. For Anyone to give someon else an idol is crazy and stupid! Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it!

I would disagree that deceit is ESSENTIAL to winning. (Witness Ethan in Africa, and Tom Westman... it's been awhile since I've watched those, but I don't recall deceit on their parts.) Also, (and this is partly what Westman did) if you're good enough to win every immunity challenge, then deceit isn't essential. Admittedly, lately it has seemed so. I would hope not, but yes, I would always wonder a bit, if I had to have dealings with them in the future. I'm hesitant to say I agree with you Elroy since it seems when I've said that in the past I've been shot down for the reasons I agree by some posters. But I'll try one more time. I agree with you , if I were to get on Survivor I would not hesitate to "mislead, deceive or strategize" AND I ADD that I would also lie and steal as well, I'm not quite sure if I should or shouldn't say I'd cheat cuz I really don't know for sure whether or not I would. I recall Rupert "the pirate" stealing the goods from the other tribe (oh help me I can't remember which season that was).

No, backstab would be applicable if Survivor was a team game.
