This epi reminded me why I liked Brenden in the first place. He really is just a likeable nice guy. I think I fell in love with him just a little when he bonded with JT and was so genuine about keeping him in the game. I hated the blindside but I see why it had to happen. I would have liked to see both him and JT make it to the end. He had great exit comments - such a great sport.

Coach is unstable. And delusional.

This is probably one of my favorite seasons so far. I'm loving the dynamics and the great mix of people. I had butterflies at the end - if I chewed my nails i'd probably be doing that.

I am disappointed with tonights vote not because I wanted that person to win, but I was hoping to see some other members voted off.

I actually think that JT and Stephen are playing an interesting game. Although based on events tonight, I would not be surprised to see Erinn sneak through as she is not on any ones direct Aliance and seems to be in the shadows.

I too could not stand Corinne and was glad to see her voted off last season.

I'm with you, JJ! Boston Rob was an excellent player, and I disliked the 'victims' yelps' coming from that bitter, bitter jury who would've loved to have been in his place. Jeff P. is even good friends with him and Amber. Brian, on the other hand, had NO integrity or honesty, and it spilt over into his real life. Or vice-versa. SAD. Have to say Coach is the biggest 'fraud' on TV this Season.

This was a great episode in terms of being interesting, but Iwasn't happy with the outcome. Coach gets more ridiculous with each episode and I don't get why they didn't take the chance to get rid of him. Ok...I do see that he isn't a threat and is probably mostly annoying to us and more amusing to them, but come on!

Just a few annoying points on Coach tonight:

1. When he was meditating in the beach, it looked like Tai Chi to me, but could have been what he described. Either way, if it was sospecial that it was only taught in secret monastaries, than why was he doing it on national TVand telling his fellow survivors about it?

2. He called his 5, 6, 7, 8 life or death experiences "fantastic."

3. He can't seem to find himself. He mentions vikings, samaris, buddhists, fantasty, indians, tribal, etc...I have a variety of interest, but seriously!

4. The one who thinks he is the chose one never is.

I loved seeing the white water rafting challenge. It made me think of the time I ruffed it down Snake River in Jackson Hole, WY. We drifted for a few miles of calm waters and stopped for a picnic lunch on a bank of land. Afterwards, we set off for roughter waters. We successfully made it through the small and medium rapids and hit the largest one, The Big Kahuna. The passengers in the front did not paddle hard enough and we did not hit the rapid correctly. Our raft spun around and we crashed into a wall of rocks. We almost tipped, but managed to stay upright and get the raft turned around and dig out of the rapid. It was smooth sailing after that.

Who do Isound like? More mild, of course.

So, why do you all think that everyone else didn't let Sierra in on the plan?Because she was buddies with Brandon and they figured she could just stick her neck out?

I'm surprised Tyson is still aligned with Coach. Ionly watch him for a few minutes per week and I still can't stand him.

I was really disappointed to see Brendan go. He was quite a likeable guy. At least he's on the jury, though.

It's a little sad that the "Exile Alliance" turned out to be a fail. When it was formed on Exile I thought it would evolve into a force to be reckoned with later in the game, and now I'm almost blown away on how wrong I was.

I was disappointed thatTaj and Steven betrayed their alliance with Brendan and Sierra. I thought the talk Brendan had with Taj about the alliance would bring her over to his side. Sierra was the only one who voted with Brendan; what was up with that?

JT said he really bonded with Brendan on the water rafting reward and had a tough choice to make regarding which alliance he would go with. Along came TC, he ended up going against Brendan, and you could see the big smile he had on his face! I didn't think it would be that easy for him to vote Brendan off, but again it looks like I was sadly mistaken.

I was completely fooled. Even though Coach is hilarious and makes good TV, I still would have prefered to see him go home tonight rather than Brendan. I honestly thought Coach was going home before the votes were read. It would have been hilarious to see Coach's reaction if HE actually got blindsided. It's just too bad...

How extremely, extremely disappointed I am that the Exile Alliance never came to fruition! I'm rooting for Sierra and hope she can save herself in the next episode.

I feel like I should say more, but I can't think well at all right now.

I amwith you on this. That is what I got from this week's show. Coach thinks he has power, but it is really JT and Stephen who seem to be making the moves. Taj seems to be glad to just go with someone, but wants to stay linked with JT & Stephen because of the Idol. Erinn is tagging along.Tyson will ultimately do what's best for him, so he could go either way and can sway Debra.

Maybe not. CBS has been really crafty in their previews. What they show doesn't always turn out to happen. I had mentioned previously that maybe they will use Sierra to make her think she is hanging by a thread to get her to do what they want. I don't think she is a threat. She could go, but I think Coah, Tyson or Erinn could just as easily go next if either one of them do not get immunity.

Sadly, I agree. I mentioned that in my first post that Coach is not a threat and is probably more amusing to the survivors and more annoying to us, so they'll keep him around. I can hope, though! Lol. Tyson would be a good call because he is a threat and they can use Sierra's vote this week against her next week to do what they want. I'm kind of on the fence about Erinn. She's not a threat and they may keep her around for a vote, but they may also get rid of her since she has been a bit of an outcastif they don't want to get rid of Tyson and shake it up yet.

Um I also think Taj and J.T. and Stephen are STUPID . This is because they could've stayed with Brendan and Sierra and gone to the final five with 2 Hidden idols. Now after Sierra and Erin, the old Jalapao (sp?) is next. What were they thinking? not just one idol, but 2 (two) (dos) 3-1 omg it really bugs me.

Oh dear Carrie, I told you guys I was confused. Brendan DID have a real idol and didn't use it!!!!! Why oh why???? And he even told everyone at TC that he had one! Good golly, if someone doesn't make a move to get Tyson off soon , he may very well win. Coach is no physical threat that's for sure and I'm sure Tyson is smarter as well.

Ok...I do see that he isn't a threat and is probably mostly annoying to us and more amusing to them, but come on!

Just a few annoying points on Coach tonight:

1. When he was meditating in the beach, it looked like Tai Chi to me, but could have been what he described. Either way, if it was sospecial that it was only taught in secret monastaries, than why was he doing it on national TVand telling his fellow survivors about it?

2. He called his 5, 6, 7, 8 life or death experiences "fantastic."

3. He can't seem to find himself. He mentions vikings, samaris, buddhists, fantasty, indians, tribal, etc...I have a variety of interest, but seriously!

4. The one who thinks he is the chose one never is.

I loved seeing the white water rafting challenge. It made me think of the time I ruffed it down Snake River in Jackson Hole, WY. We drifted for a few miles of calm waters and stopped for a picnic lunch on a bank of land. Afterwards, we set off for roughter waters. We successfully made it through the small and medium rapids and hit the largest one, The Big Kahuna. The passengers in the front did not paddle hard enough and we did not hit the rapid correctly. Our raft spun around and we crashed into a wall of rocks. We almost tipped, but managed to stay upright and get the raft turned around and dig out of the rapid. It was smooth sailing after that.

Who do Isound like? More mild, of course.

So, why do you all think that everyone else didn't let Sierra in on the plan?Because she was buddies with Brandon and they figured she could just stick her neck out?

First let me start by saying I really like Brenden and thought he could win this game.

As for the actual outcome for this episode, i'm kinda having mixed feelings. I'm a bit disappointed that Brenden got voted off, but I'm also feeling excited that this is a very nice blindside orchestrated by some very smart folks, i.e. Stephen and JT, and i think Stephen is the one who came up with this plan.

For a moment, i thought i had a deja vu when Brenden said he wanted JT to win. Reminds me of Sugar and Bob. It's a heart-warming thing to see people wanting the "good" guys to win, makes the game feel more "morally justifiable", but on the flip side that's NOT what Survivor is about! Survivor is a GAME, and IMHO people who think that the rich and successful or the "bad guys" are less deserving to play/win just because of those reasons is really mistaken. As much as i am happy that the "good guy" Bob won last season, I was totally disappointed that Sugar messed up the whole game because she didn't play to win for herself. I also felt that Bob didn't play well socially and strategically, and Sugar was a huge contributing factor that Bob won. In this aspect, I was kinda glad Brenden got voted off because I don't want to see a repeat of last season. While I have nothing against rich people playing Survivor, Survivor casting should really watch out for people like Sugar (and perhaps Brenden too) because it destroys the game when people don't even bother to play to win.

Back to the gameplay itself, I felt that it was a better move for Stephen to get rid of Brenden because he's smart, athletic, charismatic, and he also had the HII so Brenden was a very huge threat. On top of that, Stephen realized that JT and Brenden are bonding, and Stephen must not let that happen because it opens up a lot of possibilities, all of which are not advantageous to Stephen. It's also better for JT to get rid of Brenden because if both of them end up in F2/F3, Brenden has a real good chance of winning it all.

Voting off Brenden also made Coach and his alliance think they're in control, which is good because it makes them arrogant, unsuspicious and predictable. If Coach is voted off this time, Tyson will be alerted and know he's next, so he'll fight even harder in every immunity challenge. It's better to let them feel confident and let down their guard. The first strike must be on the unsuspecting Tyson, after that Coach and Debbie won't be able to do anything to save themselves.

The JT/Stephen/Taj alliance is definitely in control. If Tyson continues to win the next 2 episodes, Sierra and Erinn will be sacrificed. That's 3-3 remaining, and Stephen/Taj has their HII, definitely useful in a 3-3 tie. It also seems possible that the rest of the tribe thinks there's only one HII and it was voted off together with Brenden, so Coach/Tyson will be unsuspecting.

Which brings us to another question: will there be a new HII out there?

Since I am cursed/blessed with insomnia tonight, I get to indulge in one of my few free guilty pleasures: posting on the Survivor message boards! I will try to read through the previous eight pages tomorrow but will just jump in for now. Please forgive me for any unoriginal thoughts.

What a great season! Very strong characters, great challenges and interesting plot twists, and of course awesome scenery fillers, too, as always. I wonder how JT felt tonight seeing Brendan and Sierra genuinely discussing their admiration for him in a private conversation. Hope JT makes it all the way! He's getting this season's hero edit, for sure.

I also thought that Coach was getting the humiliation edit tonight and last week so was really looking forward to his final comments after being voted off, but no-o-o-o-o-o-o-o, it wasn't meant to be. I'm grooving on Tyson, a smart and physical player. Was kind of disappointed last week when he won that brutal pole grabbing challenge but didn't get to wear his Immunity Necklace to tribal council, such a waste of all that effort on his part. Boo-hoo on poor little Sierra, she's all alone now. A definite Ouch to her in next week's previews where she's explaining to, I think, Tyson that she was not the mastermind behind the plan to vote out Coach, and he replies that he knows cuz she's "not that smart". BURNNNNNNNN! (for those That 70's Show fans out there).

Hey bandfour, was so HAPPY to see your likeability rankings when I jumped right to page 8 of this thread. I always enjoy how you stack up the players. Don't always agree with the ranking.......but I do enjoy your opinions. Gotta go get a replacement for Brendan on my fantasy league team.

However, I was SO looking forward to seeing the look on the dragon slayer's face when the dragon turned around and slayed him. Especially when Stephen said, "This is my wizard lightning shooting you back home: Ka-Pao!!" I loved that line when I thought it directed at "the dragon slayer", but not so much directed at Brendan. However, I do agree that STRATEGICALLY, it was probably the wiser move for the former "Pao's" to go against Coach/Tyson rather than against Brendan.

Oh, and Carrie , good catch on the irony ofCoach in the "rope-a-dope' (as Jeff put it, ROFL)challenge-- that one slipped right by until you pointed it out. Thanks!

Seems the easterners are all to bed, and it's just us westerners on the ol' MB. Thanks for the reminder about Tyson and his feather headdress! That was one of my favorite moments, along with his comment that it was "too gaudy" for him anyway. Too funny coming from the guy who wants to spend the million $$$ on "furs, rings for my pretty fingers and a man tiara"! ROFL!

Suuuuuuuuuuure! He was there like I was an I am 5'1" and maybe 95 lbs and while I can do some athletic stuff, let's just say the only way ever got to the Olympics and that was Lake Placid, 1980 (showing my age here tho I WAS a kid, lol) was by buying a ticket!! and I can swim but Phelps' records - or even the lower ones are very safe, lol

I am with whoever did t like Vespia winning. I was glad an African American woman won (and I am an Irish Catholic white bread girl who was born in Canada and reside now in Boston because I like where I work and have a family here now) but it still should have been someone who deserved it, regardless of gender, race and other characteristics we have. Does anyone think Sierra could pull that off? She is not under the radar like V not is she playing the game all that well but she has goer a few good moves if you know what I mean. Like, Sandra kinda sailed under under R's wings but she stuck with him and in that respect, she "earned" it. And she pulled her weight around camp. V just struck me the wrong way, someting she would have done regardless of what she looked like or what her heritage is!

And I WAS sorry Joe had to go for med reasons but he did have potentially serious probs. I wish they had different policy re medical issues. People who hurt themselves or are inured through no fault of their own should be allowed to be medically assisted and if possible, then return. It could be hard in his case though where that injury looked BAD ,nasty and sepsis (blood poisoning which CAB kill you!) was a possibility. He will need some super antibiotics so he may not have made it back. It just seems so unfair. And it is never anyone who should go who gets hurt - if I recall.

Gawd, this show brings the worst out in me. I am not usually this judgemental except with parents who abuse their kids or wait too late to bring them in for medical help. Or yell at them. Or hurt innocent animals! It is akin to a modern day version of Lord of the Flies, lol (pun very much intended now that I consider it, lol)

Brendan caused his on down fall by not taken action on the alliance at the merge.Had he got to JT first he could have had him I think.This will work out better for JT though,he has only one other physical threat now and that in Tyson.

Don't forget...there will be another HII hid now.Wander if they will be thinking of that when they send someone to exile .

Let me explain; With the exile alliance now gone, nothing can save the Jalapao three now. After Sierra's voted out next week (that's a given, especially beacause that was apparently the best they can do for a preview of next week), it's gonna be JT, Taj, and Stephan in that order exactly.

Which leaves Coach, Debbie, Erinn, and Tyson. Now, two of those people have done absolutly nothing startagy wise in this game. That leaves Coach and Tyson to fight for the top spot. Why do you think Tyson's wonmanizing happened? Debbie, Erinn and Tyson oust Coach (sorry folks, but he has the potential to get that far in the game). Tyson will take one of the two, probably Debbie to the finals, and... It'll be a sweep.

Sorry that people still are dumb enough to pick favorites, because Tyson is understandably not popular on these boards... But unless I'm missing somthing huge, that's probably the way it'll end up.

I so think that they all need to wise up to Coach and Tysons alliance to eachother and get them outta there. OK, that is officially the funniest thing I've read in at least a couple weeks.... LOL!

This is my first post this season (real life intrudes, alas) but I just had to come and see what you guys thought of Coach. I swear he has got to be the most egotistical jacka** I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen a few. Most of them from Survivor (ie: Hatch, Boston Rob, Fairplay) at least have some hint of self-deprecation to their ego -- you can tell that they know deep down inside that they have some ego issues. Coach, on the other hand,seems to have no awareness of this whatsoever -- he seems to actually believe himself! What is really scary is this: Is he really truly a coach? Are there really kids out there somewhere that parents have actually entrusted to his teaching? OMG! That frightens me. But it wouldn't surprise me if his coaching status is just another one of his delusions. And if it is true, I bet after this TV show airs, his teams will drop off significantly in participant numbers! (Oh, and I wish he'd have used the phrase "cut the head off the dragon" just once more last night, because I didn't quite get the gist of his plan from the first eighty-five times he said it... *eyeroll* Arrrrrghhh!)

That said, I was almost glad when he wasn't voted off last night, just for the sheer head-shaking entertainment value he provides. And really, (as ejetson observed) who wouldn't want him sitting right beside them at Final Tribal? I sure would! In fact, I hope he stays... just because (again as ejetson observed -- we agree a lot today!) I cannot wait to see the crucifying he will get from the Jury! Talk about a fun Final Tribal! Oh boy!

I'm glad to see that Tyson is high up on Bandfour's Likability Index -- he's high on my list, too, but after reading posts here I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one. I don't understand the "hate" for him -- I think he's hysterical. Sure, his camera-confessionals reveal a lot of snarkiness, but I don't know that it comes through at camp so I'm expecting him to last to Finals (although it seems he blows his cover next week with his "you aren't smart enough" comment to Sierra... LOL!)

Tyson reminds me a lot of Greg Buis from Season One. I think a lot of his apparent "ego" stuff is just playing to the Survivor cameraman, like Greg used to do. Totally irreverent, and funny as heck. He might be fooling me, who knows; but that's just how he strikes me.

I liked Brendan and I thought it was admirable how he wanted to keep JT in the game, so I was sorry to see him go. I like JT as well and he seems to be playing a good game, I just fear that he's too nice for people to keep him around very long. For some reason Stephen seems to me to be likely to trip up and make some kind of big mistake -- his eyes just get too big and wide when he's trying to think fast -- LOL. For what it's worth, my prediction for Final Three would be Tyson, Coach, and the coat-tailer will beTaj or Debra (maybe possibly Stephen if he can keep himself together.)

I missed the eppy where Joe got injured -- what happened to his leg where he got the infection? And did anything ever come of JT's lost tooth? Seems like that would've needed some medical attention as well...

Good season so far -- the personalities are entertaining as heck. Good job, casting crew!

OK so my 2 cents on the latest Survivor episode.

Coach - Wowie Wow wow. Don't know where to begin or say anything that hasn't been said. But the longer he stays out there, the funnier it gets to me. I think if the remaining players were smart they would NOTvote him out at all. No way would he get the winning votes. Which is bad news for my fave and brings me tohim next...

Tyson - The difference between Tyson and Coach is the type of a s s they are. Coach is a jack-A and Tyson is just a Smart-A. I don't know what is up with him hating Sierra though, and Ifelt bad when he said she wasn't smart in the preview lastnight. The only thing I can think of is maybe when they are at camp she is annoying, or perhapstheyspecifically had an issue that the editors didn't show US. Well, if he only has 1 person he doesn'tlike there, I'llforgive him for that. Everyone can't likeeveryone or there would be no conflict and zzzzzzzzz - well it looks like Tyson better win the next couple Immunity Challenges or he could be in trouble.They see that he wins alot, so that is a natural target. Coach/Tyson/Deb will have a hard time pulling over Errin orSierra.So they better act quickly.

Debbie -Coattail rider. Which is fine for her I guess.I was gladto see even her to not believe what Coach said about his Amazon experience.I was getting annoyed at her blowing sparkles up his **** all the time. Now if she can just do something.. anything.. to prove she is worth keeping around, great. Otherwise it will be her turn to go soon.

Erinn - Hmmmm. I like her but she better make up her mind and soon. Depending on whether she still likes "new Coach"- JT may be able toconvince her to come with them (coach/tyson/JT/steve) as a 5th. She really seemed to like JT,like everyone else, but needs to pick a side soon, orshe'll be gone even before Deb.

Sierra - I feel a little bad for her. Have since the beginning. BUTthe more I think about it... maybe she has a little mouth on her that we don't get tosee much of. Remember at the merge feast everyonebarely together long enough to have a meal and she blurts out about their strategies?Not that its wrong to do, just maybe looked at a bit harshly/too quick, bythe rest of them?I don't know, just guessing. She is spunky and I wouldn't be mad if she won though.She's gonna need help FAST now that her boy Brendan is gone.

Taj - Love Taj. I think she was right in feeling put-off by Brendan. Obviously, as we saw last night, he was way too cocky. I would love to see her try to pull in Erinn and Sierra, they need help, but she really needs to have a heart to heart with Stephen and JT.

Stephen - I don't hate him, but I'm liking him less and less every week. I really just wish he could put his man-crush on JT aside for a second and be rational. He's going to be his own death in the game just like Brendan was. Every time someone even talks to Steve, he's all "yeah sure, thats a great idea, whatever you say, lets make it happen" CALMDOWN! Its good to have a plan-B but him and his boyfriend need to stop promising EVERYONE they will be on their side. You can't possibly keep all those promises and will only **** off the jury members.. and its classic, the jurors always remember that stuff at the end. Which brings me to JT. (What is he gonna do with HIS idol??)

JT- First of all, yummy. OK now thats out of the way. He needs to do the same as Stephen. CALMDOWN. Have a plan, and have a plan-B - but thats plenty. There are only 8 left, you don't need four flippin alliances. You are only going to ruin your good name and alienate the jury. If the rest of them were smart, they'd take him out. Unlike what dingaling Amazon boy thinks, its NOT smart to keep JT around, he would likely win enough votes to win the mil.

**now there are 4 men and 4 women, will we see the women scramble to try an all-girl alliance?Its about the only crazy idea that hasn't been brought up yet, and honestly all 4 of them might want to consider it... look what they are up against.

**Tyson - keep being you. Its hilarious. Not ridiculous. Haven't seen him flip flopping like Stephen and JT do just about every episode. He has stayed in one alliance from the beginning, and is smart to play assistant Coach, if I were Tyson I'd try to get rid of EVERYONE but Coach. Or maybe Deb/Erinn. I think people out there like him alot, so maybe all the haters should lighten up a tad.

As much as I think Coach is a buffoon, Iwas a bit disappointed to see him go (forentertainment value)when Stephen voted and said "This is the Wizard operating his magic to send you home". I was convinced he was voting for Coach!! But it appearsStephen went along with the others. Too bad Brendan didn't see it coming, he was my favorite player.

Coach's stories:can't buy 'em!! And that alone is a statement in itself that he's a player you can't trust. He's claiming to be perfectly honest in this game, but he's probably the biggest liar. In this light, I would have thought the plan Brendan had come up with (after hours of reflexion?? Come on, it was perfectly obvious!!!) would have served Stephen and JT better. Iknow that everyone out there dreams of going one on one against the "dragon slayer" in an eventual Final Two, but you need to get there first!!

Coach's attitude: Wow, I've never seen anyone so full of himself, not even myself!!! All this dungeons & dragons talk... what a nerd!!LOL But Imust confess, he's a gem for the viewers!! Colourful characters are great!! I've never seen a wannabe leader making such a fool of himself in my entire life!!! LOL

Hmm, it's typical for survivors to be a bit harsh in their comments during confessionals, but Tyson has gotta be one of the nastiest survivors ever, don't you think? If Coach needs lessons on how to live dangerously, he should watch Tyson and take notes! When you're 6 feet tall and you can hide your body completely behind a bamboo stick (or a Survivor torch, for that matter!), driving people upset isn't a good thing unless you're a very, very, very quick sprinter!

Nice reward! JT's authenticity and "live life to the fullest attitude"makes him a delight to watch. Ican understand why he's so much liked by the other survivors.

Strategy: Taj and Stephen had the most to lose by voting Brendan out. Maybe Taj was put off by Brendan's silence immediately after the merge. I thought it was a smart move by Brendan to keep things unperceptible to the other players. But somehow, it may be what cost him. A little mutual agreement to act that way prior to the merge or a head sign or a wink was perhaps all he needed. Taj and Stephen were perfectly safe behind 2 HII's. Now, they have that one and Taj is particularly vulnerable because she doesn't have an alliance with JT (or anyone else, not even Stephen, I'd say) that is as strong as Stephen's. Once Sierra is out (Idon't think she'll manage to buy herself 3 more days, unless she wins Individual Immunity), Taj will most likely be targeted next, even if she doesn't appear to be a threat in the challenges. The reason? Stephen and JT will want to keep the HIIfor themselves.

Not to toot my own horn, ala Coach, but I did mention that the only thing that JT and Stephen should need to worry about right now is the possibility of the women aligning with them if they get rid of Tyson first. If Tyson gets immunity next week, then they should get rid of Debra. But, as always, there's the possibility that Tyson wins immunity and figures out that it is really JT and Stephen calling the shots and could convince others to get one of them out.

I feel as though there are some very interesting scenarios about to develop. I see three distinct groups....1) Coach, Tyson, Debra....2) Erinn, Sierra....3) Taj, JT, Stephen

I believe that Coach, Tyson and Debra have enough foresight to see the potential of future alignments that could be damaging to them....Next to go will be probably Taj.....then Stephen or JT.....then either Erinn or Sierra. Probably Erinn as there, believe it or not, is a mentoring relationship between Sierra and Coach.

I also believe that the presence of the second HII will become known as Sierra will divulge that fact as she is reaching for the life preserver. This will be a tricky vote again unless Stephen, in his innocence, betrays himself.

Whoever wins the Immunity Challenges greatly determines the directions taken......and as you saw from the last blindside, CBS is leading us all down the 'Primrose Path', so my advice to you all is to EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.

Jeff says in his blog that production heard all about the pygmy story clear back at the beginning of his casting process.

You are most welcome! I found Jeff quite hillarious. He is right about what comes out of Coach's mouth. You can't write that stuff. It is mind boggling and hard to watch, but you can't peel your eyes away at the same time. Funny you say that. My story was actually true. I was just trying to tell it in the spirit of The Dragon Slayer. Lol. Thanks for reading!

The ships I have been on have all had an "internet cafe'" They work even when when one is days from any port. You sign up for the amount of time you think you will use at the cafe and settle up on the last day of cruise. Early morning is the best time to get a station.

I also agree that if Tyson does not win immunity next week, they should seriously consider voting him off. He is probably the biggest threat right now. The only other real threat is JT. But everyone (including me) just seems to love him.

I was glad he reminded me of JT's comment about the 30-30 Winchester -- that one had me on the floor laughing, too! That's my boy! I love JT! Too funny! I am wondering what is wrong with Coach. It's like he thinks he is Indiana Jones. I am not going to call him a liar, but why would anyone volunteer to be dropped in a jungle so they could be kidnapped and beated up as he described. I am very skeptical of anything he says. Also, at Tribal Council, Coach essentially said that he would rather be left in the game at the end with the best players, even if that means he loses to one of them in the end. Okay, if that is true, if he is really a sportsman (a "warrior" to use his term) like that, why then did he set things up to get rid of Brendan first? I do think he is a liar about that and that he is going to vote out the strong people first with the possible exception of JT.

I don't like any of the people in this season of Survivor and as annoying as I think Coach is, I find Tyson to be the most disagreeable person. I would not want Coach to be on the jury, if I were in the game. I suspect that he would not be a good loser, that is why I would not want him on the jury and I think they waited too long and should have gotten rid of him before the first member of the jury was "selected".

7. Brendan - Coach - His vote was logical! He must not be very good at reading people. Why didn't her use the HII? I know! It would have only be a short-term solution.

8. Erinn - Sierra - She is this season's Susie. Floating along and following whichever alliance suits her at the time. She will play the swing vote for the remainder of the season. So for her it did not matter for whom she voted.

9. Stephen - Brendan - Yes Brendan is one of the threats he have to get rid of, along with JT.However JT and Brendan were not strongly aligned. Doesn't he see that the Coach/Tyson pair is a greater threat. If he had been able to break up that pair, he would have had a better chance.

I'm still laughing at Coach - me and hubby went through the holes in that Amazon story, and even rewatched the epi, as he hadn't seen TC, and Jeff's reaction, or the final vote. Now for JT and Stephen. What they should have done was put a bug into Brendan's ear about the vote against him so he would use the I.I. Then, they should have either stuck with the way they voted or one of them vote for Benjamin. That way it would have been 3-3-3. Brendan's idol would have been gone and then maybe a fire challenge would have settled it between Sierra and Benjamin.

I cannot believe Taj voted for Brendan. This is the guy who took her along and trusted her on Exile Island. I would have loved to see Brendan's plan work, but he waited too long to talk with Taj. If he did, maybe he could have gotten an ear on what was going on.

Right now, I see the final four as Tyson, Debra, Benjamin and Stephen. Stephen will probably use the II to get himself this far.

Back to topic. Pretty interesting episode however i was not happy they voted for Brandon because that means Sierra(my favorite) is in big trouble in next episode. Brandon was a strong player but it seems they knew that Brandon is successful business man. That is not a good thing because this put larger target on your back as they will think you don't need the money.. I was also puzzled by Brandon remarkswanting JT in the finals because he like him to win. WTF. It seems everybody love JT on this show. Why didn't Brandon give Sierra his idol for safekeeping specially he wasn't going to use it. Sierra really need all the help now.

Stephen is the biggest snake out there (although Tyson is the one who actually LOOKS like one) He has been trying to take that HII from Taj the moment she brought him in to her alliance. I'd bet my life he talked JT and Taj into going with the Coach/'Tyson alliance instead of with Brendan. He now thinks of himself as"Wizard". I hope he goes next so he will feel the full weight of his idiotic choice. He has been manipulating Taj from the moment she offered him that power.and he neverfor a single moment planned on remaining faithful to that alliance. He wanted to voteTaj off before the merge so he could keep her idol. Oh well.... what comes around goes around. He has no idea that Tyson and Coach are just using him for the numbers and will drop him like an Amazon Indian as soon as they can.

Taj - way too emotional and naive. Makes rash decisions without thinking them through logically. She is definately goingto be out of there soon too because she isn't even in the loop like JT or Stephen are.

Erin - another idiot, she should have gone to Brendan and talked to him to offer her vote. She already knows that Coach hates her so why would she help himto vote off B and S? What an idiot - she is still walking on eggshells and now shejust lost a big opportunity to stay in the game longer..

JT - is a good guy that's why everyone likes him. But he will not be able to keep his deceptions straight. He is now relying on Stephen (liar, theif and manipulator) to do the strategizing and that's very dangerous.....

Debbie - a major coattail rider.

Sierra - trustworthy, hard working and honest (and a little outspoke perhaps) She is very young. I do hope she can talk Coach into keeping her over Erin or Taj.

Tyson - Ewwwwww this guy not only looks exactly like a lizard but he has the personality of one as well. He is soooooo creepy to me. He is funny sometimes but he can also be very gross. I think he will make it close the end if not more.

Brendan - sad to see him go. He was very intelligent but as we all know smart people do stupid things sometimes. In no way was he cocky. (someone here, said he was). Everyone knows who the cocky ones are. I would have really liked to see him at least make it to the jury.

Coach - the dragon slayer...lol. He truly believes the fish stories he tells - the man is living in his own little world open only to other narcissists so he can continue with the "legend in his own mind" thing. And I say NO to bringing himshould bring him to the final TC because - A. Then he would actually have a chance to win and B. He would still come in 2nd and get 100 grand! Imagine the story he would tell when the time came and he had to eat his words.

You are a very articulate writer but watching the cbs extra clips would provide you with more insight. JT tells us in one of the clips that Coach has given the Jal's nicknames. Wizard being the one he picked for stephen (maybe he thinks stevie boy looks like harry potter)

It makes perfect sense that stephen negotiated for team coach. JT spilled the beans that Brendan wanted to take him to final 2. Brendan broke the exile alliance first.

Think about it. the ever popular JTdreamy is not naively being led down a dark path by Darth Stephen . The boy is playing a clever game with that "aw shucks" smile that melts that makes him the "belle of the survivor ball" (forgot which writer called him the belle dalton, probst or gordon)

There are 3 good interview links in Brendan's cast thread. One of which provides some insight into tyson's relationship with sierra. According to Brendan Sierra operates without a filter. She has also been having a lot of arguments with coach in particular followed by tyson. I wish cbs had cut some of the Coach footage to show us this aspect of timbura dynamics.

Coach is doomed, but he could make it to the jury decision. No, he'll get voted out soon.

Tyson will make it to the jury decision, a good player, might win.

Debbie could survive until last three and then Tyson will discard her.

Taj is doomed. Self destructed. Betrayed Brendan.

Stephan could survive to the jury decision if he continues to be sneaky enough.

Erinn is playing a good game of Survivor, could see the jury decision.

Sierra is a favorite but the previews of next episode look grim for her.

JT is a favorite but the near future looks grim for him too.

Jeff Probst says we all will like the ending of this season. I don't see how. Will continue to be on the edge of chair, face glued to TV to find out.

Oh yes, wishmaster!!! Please, please, PLEASE let's not get this thing going again. I am just ignoring the few things that were written....... Let's just talk Survivor! I've been tickled to death with all the chat on this episode -- so nice to see! For this to be a good ending as Jeff says, for me, it has to be JT or Sierra. I'm guessing Sierra because she has been under the gun from the gitgo. I know that next weeks promo looks dire for her but CBS may just be wanting us to think that. I agree with you. Tyson is the Timbura puppet master. coach makes it easy for him since the goose takes credit for any thing that goes right. Ty has a talent for deviousness and sociability. Brendan had no clue Ty had less than a good opinion of him.

I have not taken a shining to Ty but he is in the top 2 of who has thus far played the best game. I do agree with the writers who think it is a mistake for him to have won immunity when he was clearly not the target.

Ok ... First off I feel that Taj and all them should have gotten together and got rid of Coach and Tyson , Then debbie. Then the real game could be played. I really don't know what Taj was thinking . She knows nothing about Coach or Tyson to trust them. But she dug her hole because Stephen is out for himself and he won't save her with the idol.

Sierra seems to be trying to appeal to Coach to help her but i don't see him going against Tyson. There is possibility that Tyson & Coach are going to be jerks toward Sierra that Taj, Steve & JT sees opportunity to bring Sierra into four people alliance. This can work beautifully if Taj gives Sierra her immunity idol and they vote either Tyson or Coach. Any votes for Sierra would be annulled and Tyson/Coach goes. This would secure remaining jalapao member control of the game. Downside is that i dont see Taj giving her idol away for Sierra.

If this doesn't work then Sierra can go into offense and approach Taj, Debbie & Erinn into 4women alliance and take out the strong men. This wouldn't be bad move for Taj because it seems she is letting Steve & JT making all her moves for her. Same story with invisible Debbie. They need to make some strategic move instead doing what the guys are telling them to do. But i don see follower Debbie doing that. She will do what Coach and Tyson tell her to do.

Most likely they will stick with the plan to vote Sierra out so she needs to win immunity so they will have to alter their plan(probably Erinn).

p.s. Damm it why didn't Brandon give Sierra his idol for safekeeping if he wasn't going to use it.

like Banfour I am very interested in the thought processes. I think CBS could keep the 2 castaway format but satisfy our curiosity by presenting the information in their extra clips.

I think some of the extra clips such as stephen' s description of coach as Don Quixote would have made better footage than the excess of coaches excesses

Not sure where the scripting thought comes in.

The wizard line didn't even seem remotely scripted to me. While Ifigured he was talking about Coach, it wasn't unknown to the rest of the group that Wizard was his nickname.

I hear you, EJ. That is perhaps the biggest challenge of all - and we've seen some people at the end take the game at this one challenge. Although in most cases, they were deserving. I said I pondered the thought, but not sure I agree with it. The TC challenge is harder.. - and I'm a firm believer in the Survivors 'Selling us/the Jury' their game". In the other scenario, - we could have a fluke win by one of the contestants. Nope, I'm not wanting the NO JURY scenario myself, IF that's even what JJ was suggesting. It was just something this girl thought of briefly to herself while having her first cup of tea this morning.

There are 3 good interview links in Brendan's cast thread. One of which provides some insight into tyson's relationship with sierra. According to Brendan Sierra operates without a filter. She has also been having a lot of arguments with coach in particular followed by tyson. I wish cbs had cut some of the Coach footage to show us this aspect of timbura dynamics.

Ok thanks alkikodibear -will do. But I still think Stephen is despicable. Not because of the lying and manipulations 'cause I know thats what it takes - but there is a difference in lying for strategic purposes and lying to make yourself look important and that is what Stephen is doing. That's why I think he is one of those office gossip types.

I know he got his nickname from Coach. But the comments he made when he cast his vote for Brendan were extremely arrogant for someone who professes to be a non-threat. He is also a major drama queen when it comes to what he accomplished out there on Exile. He feels real proud of himself for getting thru it and thats good but did he have to make it sound so dramatic? i.e. "if I can't find food and start a fire I"m going to die out here" OH PLEASE as if the camera crew would allow that to happen!!

I did not know JT had told Coach about Brendan's plan -I know he told him that Brendan had the idol and I do know he is playing the naive country boy to everyone. I figured the Tyson/Sierra thing was because she is a little outspoken and apparantly rubbed Tyson wrong in the beginning. (never mind that he is the epitome of out-spoken tackiness!) It will be interesting to see those clips - thanks again for the suggestion.

The jury is important because they are the people that know the two best and therefore know what to ask and most of the time pick the right person to win (very wrong last year). I think getting rid of the jury would make winning easier and it shouldn't be easier. I think it should be even more difficult. I think making them walk through hell is exactly what they should have to do. I'm all for making it even more difficult...those that want it...have to want it bad and they have to be willing to suffer for it and I think that it should even be worse by allowing the Jury to sift through footage of the two, or three, on the jury just so they can see the real person and ask their questions based off of that.

I think the people in contention should have to be humiliated by their own thoughts being seen by those they were trying to get rid of to win.

That is the price one should have to pay to win the million. Who can have their lies seen and admit to them without making justification needlessly?

One of the things I like about this seasons cast is in their pre-game interviews most of them said part of my strategy is "I am going to lie. Even the ever lovable JT.

Taj says "I am going to nurture them with kindness then stab them in the back" So when taj is less then honorable I am cool with it. She is True to her game. Stephen says "I am going to model my game after Rob of survivor amazon" So when he is weasly I say "thats my boy" Coach says I am going to be an honorable warrior " so I keep a barf bag handy during his footage.

Being a silly ol bear I get ready for the survivor game with the CBS pre-game interviews than during march madness have a refresher course from a different set of pre-game interviews. I like to contrast how the players think they are going to play to how they actually are.

MId march, In each cast member thread, I posted just the reality blurred interview pertaining to strategies if anyone wants a trip down memory lane though It may just be faster to go to www.realityblurred.com to tiptoe through the lot.

The next Survivor Tocantins challenge, to see who can hang the longest, for those who like to make Sierra cry.

Being the Coach is a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

No matter how much water goes into the toilet, some turds just won't flush, so you can expect Tyson to be a floater until the end of Survivor Tocantins.

Not sure what they should do next, but I hope it'll be used well.

I was referring to the clown who kept creating new IDs one character different than those that spoke against Harwood. Those were pretty obviously him. No big deal. It's well over and done as far as I'm concerned. I just ignored the new ones when they came up.

yeah I can understand and have more ok feeling towards those that admit to it in the interviews. It makes for a better person....sometimes. Rob...ha. He was fun, but I was glad he never won Survivor.

Good question. I just found the preview and watched it. Wish it was longer and showed more. Someone else said the obvious importance of the immunity each episode changing the outcome. True. Have to keep that in mind. If Sierra gets it, then who could be next to go to the jury could depend on a few hinges like Stephan and JT, maybe Erinn too. I think Coach, Debbie, and Tyson are solid. So that is 3 votes against whoever they select. Whichever of the others. And the others could goeither way. I mean JT could be with them, or still try to get with Taj and Stephan. But Stephan has the immunity idol, and maybe he will use it at the right time, certainly not give it back to Taj. Stephan is safe for now. He could easily go against Taj, and JT join him against Taj. But maybe Coach or Tyson decide on Errin. If Sierra is safe this time, then it looks like the new targetscould beTaj or Erinn. I don't have time nowto go back and check, butmaybe you can rememberbetter than me anyway. Did Tyson or Coach say something in the past week or two about targeting Erinn? Mayby one wassaying the order in which the others would be voted out, like "A, then B,then Erinn, then D, and then E." I don't remember if Erinn was mentioned before orafter Taj. I'd guess that if Tyson doesn't win immunity, Tyson is done.

I just think the 'You're not that smart' comment MUST have been for a reason. I have a gut feeling he wouldn't just say that out of the blue. Now if Tyson doesn't win it all, I'll be bummed - but if he at least gets to blindside Coach before he goes THATwould be fantastic. I am not even going to try and figure out my scenarios yet though, it all depends on who wins immunity at this point.

I truly believe that Erinn is now a VERY important piece of this puzzle.... I can't stand waiting for Thursdays, it takes way too long. Well at least Monday is the night I watch it again with my daughter. I can't wait to see a 9 yr old's reaction to Coach's story.

Alright. From the moment you're with your fellow Castaways, whether in silence or not, agreed, Game ON. The other contestants are sizing you up as much as you should be sizing them up, - so every gesture, eye contact, and move should be controlled, if you ask me. Rather than immediately lying, I'd call it bluffing. Most of them should Bluff, and/or hold back, and certainly, lie if you have to. Of course there are occurences where you needn't, - or shouldn't.. i.e. - in some of the challenges, unless you're attempting a certain strategy of holding back physically somewhat. And then there's the threat of being perceived a social or mental threat, but right off the bat, - I would NOT play that card. I find most people don't recognize that in you until later, I mean, how could they.

I Totally agree that the Jury are the Best to size the F-2 (or darn F-3) up. They've seen the players day in and day out, unedited, - as we haven't. Case in point : I don't believe Sandra , ( Pearl Island s) ONLY Won because she sold her game better at the end. Those jurors had gotten to know her, and visibly thought she'd also played a better mental and social game. You could see it on their face s.

I'm not onboard with you however, about the Jurors seeing the Island camera moments of deceit right on the spot though. As deceit - I prefer to call it Manipulation though , - since it's a Game, - IS a HUGE part of this game, - I think the end result would be totally unfair. If the Jurors knew what was happening in the confessionals, part of the manipulation.. at the FTC, no one would ever attempt to strategize! Those jurors can get heated enough, imo. There'd be warfare!

I will agree we are getting close to the end of this season and there are still plenty of options left for a number of people...by now we generaly know who's with who.Maybe this week will clear some of that up.Gosh I hpoe so..my mind is gooooooing.

Sierra seems a Wild Card to me, because I've seen many shots of her and Debra bonding. I don't remember if Tyson states this to her face?! This is Survivor, - and the editing's a **** to weed through. She could stay 'Timbira' with Debbie and Tyson. (And Ben). Erinn would truly be the Wild Card, then.. she's ready to approach or be approached, and now's the time. She could jump over to the TAJ, Stephen and JT alliance. If she didn't, I think the remaining Jala's may be doomed. Who knows? It all really depends on WHO actually DOES win II this week!!! I have to see this preview!

I think JT and Stephen are going to be the two to watch this season. Between Stephens smarts and JT's skills I wouldn't be surprised to see them in finals. Its still too early to call, but I am more confident in them than ever before this early on.

Yes she is.Erinn has already made her move when she approached JT.I thought that was smart of her to let him know she could be availible.JT has to be some what surprised and estatic of how things seem to be falling in place for him considering the numbers going into the merge.At this point I don'thave a clear fave.I could accept any of them to win with the exception of coach of course.Oh,Debbie also.She has done nothing.

Hi A-bear, are those 6 interviews with Brendan just text? I can't use the sound on my computer at work but I'd love to read them right now... as far as Sierra, I don't know what she says to bother her other tribemates, and I won't judge for that exact reason. However, we all know her and Coach have a problem, but I just can't wait to find out what she did or said to upset Tyson and Erinn so much. If it was just Tyson, I might have thought he was just backing up the JackA$$ but since its Erinn too (and who knows, maybe others) I wonder if she is really a victim or a victim of her own doing.... and I really like Sierra too! Liked her since day 1. Is it Thursday yet??

We get a better shot of Tyson and Sierra for the "your too stupid" scene. They were totally alone and the conversation was apparently initiated by Sierra. I am fine with Tyson's communication. They do have history.

I hope Ty was just showing off for the confessional camera. That he is too much sportsmanship to carry out his scheme. Seirra's upcoming ostracism will be normal she is odd person out. (in that light can coach refrain from belittling her further?)

In the fancast interview Gordon holmes asks each cast off to give a one word phrase to describe his tribemates. He does say Tyson is funny. He describes Sierra a clingy.

I think sierra will be looking for someone new to cling too and nobody will want tribal council cooties.

I think all but one of Brendan's interviews are either text or have a text version. The only one I am not sure of is Daltons interview at ew.com His might only be in video.

Interviews are a great source for getting background material we have been sorely missing this season sacrificed to the excess of coach.

My take on Erin- purely speculation no basis on footage.

1) she was low person on the totem pole. She is deflecting attention from the predators to a more succulent morsel. She is putting a wolf cape on to cannibalize another sheep.

2) there is a new boy in town with pretty country ways .

Yeah... I think the editors are having so much fun with Coach, we don't get to see alot of that stuff. I enjoyed the behind the scenes episode alot too!

I'll bite, but first I must say A-bear that 'Erinn as a wolf (wearing a cape)' comment makes total sense due to her nasty comment at the voting confessional. She says something to the effect of : gladly voting for Sierra 100x's or something. I started to like Erinn after the Jackass comment, among others, yet I don't know if she can be trusted to get on board with the PAOs. I know she cannot stand coach, yet she seems to be bending in his direction. I watched some clips last night and one shows her disecting the myth/s of coach and his psyche. It was about his honesty being present in both (or all?) of his perceived personas. Anyone else catch it? For this reason alone I think she would not vote for coach, unfortunately. I think she is playing a passive aggressive game. She may vote Debbie just to get rid of her votes which may effect Erinn's later game play, however she may choose Tyson as the bigger threat-which would make your scenario correct.That is, if she can get over her presumed hatred of Sierra in the event Sierra does not win immunity.

So if Sierra wins.... well we already know Coach and Tyson are on her poo list, and vice-versa. So I see a couple different possibilities. Sierra could target my boy Tyson, since we already know they are going to have some kind of confrontation, also the fact that he is a big threat! We also have seen that she cries to Coach about it. On the commercial, he says "this kid wants me to throw her a bone and its breaking my heart" SOOOOO...if she talks Coach into keeping her (she could use the angle about keeping Timbira strong like he wants) then they could target Taj and the Coach/Tyson/Steve/JT alliance won't be bothered - I can see the 4 of them talking now.. "we can take Taj out now, she might have an idol (jt and stephen could throw that out there too) then we can take Sierra out next time, but the longer we keep Taj, the only strong woman, the better for her, not us"ORRRR Sierra could try and get a women-only alliance going. Now or never on that chance I think. - alot depends on Erinn and even more so on which way JT/Stephen decide to go this week, since they flip-flop every episode. And as usual Debbie will do whatever Coach and Tyson tell her to.

sounds good except Coach could get wind of Stephen claiming to have started the idea of the split votes at last TC, and then Stephen becomes the new Cancer. Coach claimed that as his idea last episode... just another moment.

But even joking aside... I just made myself think. Why is Stephen not being targeted??He is the loose cannon, non-physical threat with a good chance of winning if he is in the F2, for sure.

Erin nor tysons feelings towards sierra have any impact on whether I liked them or not. Erin is a glass half empty kind of survivor and tyson has been relishing in the cleverness of her vitrio.

It is only speculation at this point whether they will be dog kicking.

The jury is important because they are the people that know the two best and therefore know what to ask and most of the time pick the right person to win (very wrong last year). Alright. From the moment you're with your fellow Castaways, whether in silence or not, agreed, Game ON. The other contestants are sizing you up as much as you should be sizing them up, - so every gesture, eye contact, and move should be controlled, if you ask me. Rather than immediately lying, I'd call it bluffing. Most of them should Bluff, and/or hold back, and certainly, lie if you have to. Of course there are occurences where you needn't, - or shouldn't.. i.e. - in some of the challenges, unless you're attempting a certain strategy of holding back physically somewhat. And then there's the threat of being perceived a social or mental threat, but right off the bat, - I would NOT play that card. I find most people don't recognize that in you until later, I mean, how could they.

I Totally agree that the Jury are the Best to size the F-2 (or darn F-3) up. They've seen the players day in and day out, unedited, - as we haven't. Case in point : I don't believe Sandra , ( Pearl Island s) ONLY Won because she sold her game better at the end. Those jurors had gotten to know her, and visibly thought she'd also played a better mental and social game. You could see it on their face s.

I'm not onboard with you however, about the Jurors seeing the Island camera moments of deceit right on the spot though. As deceit - I prefer to call it Manipulation though , - since it's a Game, - IS a HUGE part of this game, - I think the end result would be totally unfair. If the Jurors knew what was happening in the confessionals, part of the manipulation.. at the FTC, no one would ever attempt to strategize! Those jurors can get heated enough, imo. There'd be warfare!

Well..thanks. Too many people get caught up in semantics over some players 'playing the game'. Yes, they have to LIE. But it's a game, afterall. When I'm playing a board game at home, - I don't tell my child to lie to me, but I teach them how to PLAY and the art ofbluffing people and manipulating the cards/pieces to their advantage..

I made my way through this episode thread yesterday. I wanted to comment on your post to JackieTN. It is my impression that the two of you were friends on this message board before the troll Harwood, got "food poisoning" in the Recap thread he started. What he was proposing, along with JackieTN backing him up, was beyond bizarre.

I remember that she compared Tyson's getting naked in another country, on a game show where anyone offended could vote him out, to a grown man standing naked in front of an elementary school pleasuring himself in front of little girls. That was at what seemed like the height of the insanity in her support for Harwood's ideas that Tyson, the producers, and the CBS executives, are all criminals that should be thrown in jail because of this.
